These boots are awesome! I am a former athlete and my calves are too muscular to fit Hunter boots. Good thing though because these are of much higher quality. Love the plaid lining and leather banding around the top.

Very happy with these. I wanted something a bit rugged looking that would keep my feet dry and warm in rain and also mucking about. I was very wary to get boots like this since the ones I have tried before leave my feet al loose and wobbly inside. These are extremely comfortable and supportive and I would definitely purchase these again. I usually wear 8-1/2 and the size 8 were a very good fit.

These are the best rain boots ever! They fit great and look even better. The quality is terrific. I had tried a lot of boots before purchasing these and was worried that they would not work. I was pleasantly surprised! Able to wear in the city and out at the farm. Worth every penny!

So my husband bought me Hunter boots from a local store for the holidays- but in a size 7 and it was too tight, especially with the welly fleece socks. Unfortunately, local store was out of 8's in the colors that I liked (navy, green, red- not the glossy red). The Hunter (original) run a bit tall (I'm 5'4.5 and they hit right under my knee when sitting) but felt pretty good on otherwise in an 8, esp with the welly fleece. So I turned to zappos and another online shoe store... and read horrific reviews about how the quality for Hunters is terrible and they'll leak and it's a waste of a lot of cash for something fashionable but not practical. So I bought some Kamik's -as they are a 1/3 of the price & mostly made in Canada and recyclable. Those got returned x 3 different styles since the fit was oddily tight in the foot (i'm a 7.5 in running shoes, an 8 in boots, 7 in sandals sometimes) and despite all the pluses, they just aren't comfortable even wearing around the house. I went back to the Hunters and thought, well, maybe people are just peevish and wrong. I think they're really cute and they seem to be made really well, and the local store workers like theirs (although they've only had them perhaps 1 season)... So then I started reading blogs... and found that people who live in the rainy areas of Europe really like Le Chameau's (and a few other brands that I cannot find in the US). So I tried handy dandy zappos & have (finally!) settled on these Country All Tracks (vs City All Tracks- cannot tell the difference except the Country ones are plaid-lined and seem to come in olive or black only? and Citys supposedly come in more colors like marine, which btw, I tried in Vierzon see below & I love the color but it's a bit too close to dark wash jeans, I'd rather more of contrast). These are buttery soft flexible rubber, but feel thick. I agree that the curvy calf is crazy huge, BUT, although I fit the Vierzons's quite nicely (I have no calves to speak of, even when muscles are at their best), I found that slim jeans bunched more in the Vierzon & the adjustable tab while interesting, just bugged me since it sticks out a bit). The crazy big calf part just gives your leg/pants more room, and doesn't seem to make my legs look chubby. Oh, the other thing was that the Vierzon's are a bit taller than these, just to the point where it was starting to seem a little uncomfortable. These Country All Tracks hit perfectly. I like the contrast with the black too. As far as longevity of the boot, I haven't even worn them outside yet. But I wanted to give a brief overview of the boots I've tried thus far in my search to perhaps save some other shopped a bit of the hassle and teasing from your loved ones with the onslaught of boxes in the living room. Oh, and please read a few reviews re:sizes. Order your European size, not the US equivalent since it's wrong. I'm a 37-38 in Sanitas, so I ordered 38's. Perfect fit. The Hunter Welly socks, though, don't work for me since it gets too bunched up in the foot. So if you were hoping for that combo, maybe a size up?

I live in my boots and I've come to the point where Le Chameau is the only brand I buy - no other lasts as long or is as comfortable. Felt loose initially, but formed to my feet in a few wearings. Still have enough room for heavier socks for cool weather. I also own other styles of this brand, these are my everyday use and abuse pair. And they look good too. Zappos is the best - service and prices. Don't see any reason for buying from anyone else.

First rain boot that fits so comfortably, still stylish and fits my large calves with jeans easily! The rubber is so much softer than the other brands out there. I have searched for many years for a rainboot that I can wear gardening, in the rain, around town and I have found it! I have wide feet, so I usually have to get a half size bigger, but in this case, I will exchange my 38 for a 37 because there was plenty of room with socks.
I'd also recommend:
actually, I wouldn't. This is the brand I will always use for rainboots

Awesome! Soft and flexible. Comfortable! I wear a 6.5-7. This ran big. I returned the 7 and got a 6. It's perfect. I slogged around in the mud the other day and was happy and dry and warm. I tried on several of the Le Chameau's. Different styles have much different lasts (footbeds), so order a few and try what feels good. I love Amazon's free shipping! I bought this boot after I found out that my Hunter boots were manufactured in China...This is a beautiful boot, but it did not fit well. I am 5 10', so the contoured shaft of this boot hit well below my calf and looked ridiculous. Also, this boot is manufactured in Morocco...no issues with Morocco, I just wanted my french boot to come from France.

I am looking for the perfect pair of Wellies. I like the look of Hunter, but because they are no longer made in the UK but China, their quality has gone to crap. Le Chameau is it, it is just a matter of which one. I have decided on Le Chameau Womens VierzoNord Rain Boots "Nord" being the key bc they are warmer but not with fur but neoprene. so good for Cold and rain. Kate the Dutchess wears Le Chameau, and I think she has the finger on the pulse as to what is good :)

I got these about a year ago and they have still held up, they are amazing! I am no longer afraid of puddles. They are super comfortable for rain boots and I love how they look. I normally wear a 6½ and I got these in a 6 and they fit perfectly.

My husband always tells me to buy quality, it pays for itself. Have to say these boots are worth every penny, and spectacular! Gorgeous, functional and I love the dark green color. Heading to Alaska for a cruise and these babies are going with me for the rainy weather ahead. One tiny note, I don't have big calves, not tiny maybe 14 inches...and these are going to "just fit" with a pair of skinny jeans tucked. So they aren't quite as big as I thought. But they are still fabulous! Thank you Zappos! Service was spot on as always!

They're a little lighter blue than I expected, but they're great! Fit is good and the plaid lining is so cute. I'm very excited to own these.

I really like these rain boots. I like that they are not tight on my calfs like hunters boots are; I used to do ballet, and I run so I do not have massive muscles but I do have muscles and these fit really well and I love them. They do however, become scuffed up easily but I am ok with that. I usually wear 8 to 8 1/2 and got an 8 and it fit fine.

Love these boots! They are classic and will never go out of style. Size down one full size and they will be perfect. So happy I decided to go with these instead of the All Over the Place Hunter...be different!

I've been wanting to try these out for a while. So when they went on sale, I snatched them up! These are the first rubber boots I've tried to I could actually put on all the way. I have large calves that these accommodated with no problem. They're cute, sturdy, really well made.

Very comfortable and cute boot. I've tried all of the cheaper brands and Hunter which in my opinion is expensive and not near the quality of Le Chameau. My only complaint is that I wore them only a few times and the rubber seems to have a chalky look to it - almost as if I put powder on the boots. I bought the silicone cleaner from Le Chameau so I'm hoping that takes care of it.

I love this boot, really comfortable, lightweight and flexible. It is much better quality than a PVC boot. It has good tread and enough room in the shaft to tuck in my jeans. I got rubber treatment to remove the "bloom" and now they are beautiful and protected. There is room for an orthotic if needed.

I love these boots and highly recommend them! Great (exact) fit and style. I wear mine with cotton blend socks and this makes these anything but typical rubber boots.

Despite what everyone else said, I found these boots a little smaller than size. I usually wear size 7 shoes and ordered a 7. It's true my feet are a little on the wider side, but when I wear the boots with socks on, I could see my toes from the outside. Shaft feels very snug, which is fine with bare legs or with tights, but there was no way I could fit even skinny jeans in. I am going to return this and order size 8 and hope that it's not too big. Also...the Vierzon Lady 2 model is a tad more expensive so I expected that they might be nicer than Country All Tracks. However, I felt that Country is built better and its Olive Green color is super nicer than Vierzon's Dark Green. I guess it depends on preference, but I am happy I liked the cheaper one better!

The shape of the Country All Tracks is quite slimming. I am planning to wear these boots with skirts during the wet months of Vancouver! They fit well on me with tights (my calves are about 14") and also with jeans. I usually wear size 8 to 8½ so I ordered an 8. I do have a bit of wiggle room, but I figure this gives me space for thicker socks. I also tried on the chasseur and loved those boots too, but they were a tad bit bulkier but the leather lining was so soft. At the end price won out in being deciding factor. These are great boots. Initially I was looking at Hunters but read better quality reviews for Le Chameau. I hope these last!

I would like to know if anyone who has the Le Chameau All Track rain boots found them to be too large in the calf. I have very skinny calfs.

These boots fit very well. They were quite comfortable. The interior had this lining quite unlike the Hunter or Kamik boot, but they are not cute! They could use a new design to make them more fashionable. If you are looking for comfort and functionality and fashion is at the very bottom of the scale, these are perfect.

These looked very nice out of the box, but I could not get them over my calves! I think the problem is the shape--it's too much like a lower leg, so the top is narrower than the calf. It looks stylish, but sadly it violates the laws of physics and anatomy. If I could I-Dream-of-Jeannie blink them on, they'd probably fit fine.

I loved these boots. They are of much higher quality. Alas, the opening on the boot was not as big as stated (16.5"). I have muscular calves measuring just under 16" at their widest and these boots were way too tight even with nothing on my legs. Putting pants in there would have looked strange. I so wish they would have fit because they are fantastic boots!

The Zappos calf width is incorrect. Size 6 boot calf circumference is 14". The size 8 calf circumference can't be 16.5" as stated in the description.
