It pained me to send them back, as they looked so amazing, but they were too narrow/too small and were never going to be comfortable. If you have a narrow foot, you’re in luck, because looks-wise, they’re gorgeous.

Runs narrow and small but a beautiful boot. Ordered half size up. Love them

They fit great, but I ordered black and received brown. (The box says Black, but the boots are a very uneven brown.) I don’t particularly like the mottled look of the brown dye, so I sent them back.

These boots look amazing- but the toe box is so narrow I could not begin to wear them. So disappointed

Hurt like heck to break in so I returned them.

I'm sad to say I have to return these boots. They are absolutely beautiful, high quality, and the exact style and color I was looking for. Based on reviews, I initially bought a half size over my normal 8.5. However, they felt too large even with thick socks, and my heel came up out of the boot when I tried to walk in them. I returned that pair and purchased my usual 8.5. I own two other pairs of Frye boots in 8.5, and have no issues with the sizing or comfort. Unfortunately, even though the length seems correct in these, I had the same problem with the my heel sliding up with every step in these boots. None of the other reviews mention a similar complaint about this boot, so it may just be the shape of my foot.

Ordered the size 8.5 and the length was great but the width of the shoe was too narrow. Was also underwhelmed by the Stone color in person. Was hoping these would work but sadly, these need to go back :(

Really wanted to love this boot, but the shaft leather is super soft & supple, while the strip up the back is stiff & hard, & bends into the back of your ankle in an odd & uncomfortable way. The footbed is comfortable & true to size & width. The color is lovely, & the craftsmanship is very nice. Perhaps Frye could re-do this boot with a harder leather shaft, or, conversely, with a softer back strip. Either re-design would make the boot more comfortable.

Really cute but not comfortable. They are just too heavy and stiff. Sadly, I have to return.

This is a very handsome boot ~ lush leather, great color, nice workmanship. However, while the last & footbed are excellent & fit well, the top of the boot is soft & slouchy with a hard leather strip up the back. This is a design flaw: the hard leather strip digs into the back of your ankle & feels awkward & uncomfortable. Sad to have to return these ~ if only the entire top of the boot were hard leather, they would be perfect.

Very cute but very uncomfortable. They have a great worn in look but the leather is so stiff inside I cant even wear them. I thought if I broke them in over time they would eventually be more comfortable,but no such luck.
