I wear this running in the winter - its warm but small enough that I can put it in my pocket if I get too warm. I've had one of these for a few years, but lost it. I'd give it five stars but I was very disappointed with the color selection. I bot one because its such a good hate but don't love it like the last one.

I purchased this beanie in the summer but I'm really looking forward to using it when the temp is around 10 degrees F. My current beanie is 150 and at 10 degrees F it's too cold. This beanie is 250, so I expect it to be just right. I'd also love to win the #sweepstakes !

Love the design a little tight with the first wear but like most wool after a few uses loosens up.

This hat is as warm and comfy as my other Smartwool hat, so why did I buy it? Well, I bought this one because I thought it would stay cuffed, and it doesn't. No biggie.

It's certainly warm! While it is thin, the double layer keeps the wind at bay so that's fine by me. The dark blue/light blue combo that I selected is true to color as displayed online. I am removing a star due to the tightness. As other reviews note, it is rather small, but perhaps it will stretch out over time(?). I have a smaller than average head for a female (measured for a helmet in the past--that's what they told me), and this is fairly snug/tight on me--I can't imagine how someone with a larger head would make this work comfortably. In summary I would absolutely buy it again for my own use! I just would not gift this or suggest it to another without making them aware of this sizing caveat.

This is my second cuffed beanie my first being several years old & still like new. This new version has reflective logos including the new tricolored strip which I think is a wonderful improvement from a safety standpoint. But, living in dark, cold MN and a frequent traveler to even darker SWEDEN, with the early sunsets, when walking/running I want to be as visible as possible to oncoming vehicles & was excited with this improvement but then dismayed to discover the 2 logos are off-centered. They should be placed exactly 180 degrees opposite the back seem but they are way off making you only visible to vehicles coming from one side. It's a simple fix Smartwool, please consider changing the location of your logos!. Thank you!!

Fit perfect, warm, worth it

Great hat, but was thinner fabric than expected. Bought as a gift for someone wanting a thicker hat that had better windproofing. Using for myself, and a great thin hat for mild winter days. Its breathability makes it great for running and x-country skiing.

I mainly use it for running when the temps are 15 or colder; any warmer and the hat is too warm for me and i wear a lighter weight wool hat from another comapny.

Bought this in the Green/Orange combo for my dad. He loves smartwool socks. At first I thought the fit looked a bit snug for his liking but he said it's great.

The beanie is really comfortable, and helps keep me warm.

This hat is perfect, I had one before that I actually liked more than this one, same had but the logo was on back cuff and the fit was a little tighter, I prefered that hat but didn't seem to be available any longer in that exact style

USPS showing it delivered to mail box but never delivered or get stolen or mailman delivered to another mailbox . Did not received my order which was ship via USPS. I filed complaint to USPS - No resolution

After very carefully cutting the top stitching and removing the 3 labels, the understitching from the labels remains and is impossible to remove without cutting the hat material. The thread for the labels is the same color as the hat. The remaining thread/stitching leaves a raised, unsightly and lumpy 2-inch section along the seam, which shows if the hat is worn on that side. So, it can only be worn on the side with the Smartwool logo showing. Very disappointing.

I bought several of these. They seemed more like something for a mans head. I have a fairly large head, for a woman, but there was still too much fabric at the top of the hat.

This hat is soft and warm, but does not fit the shape of my head that well. When I try to bring it down further, than I am unable to see. If I keep it up there is a lot of apace at the top. I don't think this beanie was designed for my rounded type head. I will keep it and wear it sometimes, but I am disappointed with the styling.

Warm hat, no itch ! I'm still trying to stretch it out to fit my head. Needs to come in different sizes. I'm done buying 1 size fits all!!

the picture showed the cuff of the beanie being different from the body. I wanted the contrast in color. I returned the beanie.
