This backpack replaced a smaller version also from High Sierra that lasted 3 years! It still had plenty of life but my daughter needed more organizing options and bigger captivity. Also the last backpack had light colored fabric and white straps which no matter how much ai washed, the dirt was ground in. My 4th trader loves the many pockets of all sizes so she doesn't loose her smaller items. More than enough space for lunch box, sweater, books and after school equipment. Yes, it is a bit big on her frame but after a growth spurt in the next few years, it will be just right (we expect it to last till 6th grade!). Colors and prints my picky stylish daughter always has too many favorites, hard to pick just one! I love the heavy duty fabric that repels most rain and dirt and have never had an issue with popping seams or zippers even when we have stuffed the bag to its max occasionally. When we first got the backpack, the zippers were a bit sticky, but we covered the bag carefully and then squirted a tiny bit of WD40 oil on the zipper and wiped it down. Smooth as butter now. Awesome product and crying with happiness at its affordability. Some great products do still exist!

I use this product for school to carry my books.

This was for my son who is a Sophmore in High School. Uses it daily.

My son is in junior high. He a seems to have a fair amount of homework every day. He says this backpack is comfortable and does not bother his back. He absolutely loves the color. It fits his gym clothes, his school texts and notebooks and his lunch with great ease. Great backpack!!

I use it to tote around laptop and other gadgets for work . On the weekends I'll throw clothes in it for atrip to the lake

The backpack has so many pockets!!! This is a great school backpack that has enough back support. It's bigger than it looks when you first get it and you can fit a lot in it.

These are the only backpacks I will purchase for my kids. After 2 years of use no tears in lining or exterior and all zippers still function properly.

I use it for school and it's very roomy for books and notebooks but the zippers hang and get caught and sometimes it takes a while to get it uncaught

Great quality backpack that is sturdy. Seams are strong as are the zippers. Lots of areas for pens and other supplies needed and the area for laptop/tablet is very roomy as are the other pockets and areas.

I bought this backpack for my daughter for 7th grade. I love the capacity of the High Sierra bags and they are very durable. I am sure this bag will last her quite a while.

I bought this for my 7-year-old son after purchasing another High Sierra backpack last year for my 9-year-old. This backpack is wonderful quality, but it is HUGE--too huge for my first grader. In particular, it is too tall/long for him to carry comfortably (hits the bottom of his head & comes down just below his bottom). I will hang on to this one to use in a few years, as it is a great backpack with lots of storage space. Just be aware that it is too big for a young kid to use comfortably!

We bought these for our granddaughters for back-to-school. They are 10 and 11 and they loved them. Very stylish, plenty of compartments, good fabrics to choose from
