Very comfortable for everyday dress attire, with the great ankle support that I needed!

Classy looking boot with lots of wow factor. I always wanted cowboy boots, but parents kept saying...No! So after 65 years, I finally got myself a pair. Will wear for dress-up occasions. Have worn for about 10 hours total now & although fairly comfortable, they need breaking in. Make sure you try different sock thicknesses before you evaluate the fit.

When I saw the photos online I was concerned the leather would look cheap based on the shine; however when I received the shoes in the mail they were incredible. Look great with jeans and dress pants. I wear a size 12 in Nike shoes so I bought the 12D in these shoes and they were just right. Boots are supposed to slip a little, so just a heads up if you have never worn them before. Excellent purchase.

A great value. These boots are well made. They look and perform exactly as you would expect.

I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas. He had always loved wearing cowboy boots but now wears a brace on one leg that goes under his foot. There's no way he'd get that brace into a conventional boot. This style is perfect! It gives him the look and feel of a conventional boot but it's easy on! Looks sharp and he says they are very comfortable!

These boots were beautiful, they fit my husband perfectly, and he loved them as part of his Christmas present.

The big issue was a cheap plastic zipper that failed on the second wearing. Otherwise they were not particularly well made with one boot having obvious construction flaws.

First time purchase from you guys. Boots fit great. Look great and at a good price.

I rate this product 5 Stars for overall comfort and style. I wish it also came in black, so that I could buy it.

These boots look very nice, very similar to a Western (Cowboy) boot. The leather and side zipper feel cheap, but the grip and feel of the rubber sole seems sturdy. I really liked the look of these shoes, as they really minded me of my favourite boots from Florsheim. I would honestly dish out 15$ extra and get the “Duke” by Florsheim, with real leather soles and uppers and nice luxury feel.

I am skeptical about ordering anything on line particularly shoes as I have a difficult to fit foot. However after reading your order/return/tracking and other customer service policies I decided to give Zappos a try. Five days after ordering the Laredo Men's Burnt Apple ZIP Truckers dress Boot the parcel arrived six hours ahead of what was scheduled for arrival. The boots slips on easily, looks better than it does on line and Zappos has itself a happy camper such that you can expect an for the same pair boots in black.

Sized too large and leather lower quality (very thin) than price and review suggests. Large chunk of color chipped off boot before I even got to wear them.

These are well-made, handsome boots. They did require some break in for me and felt a bit small in width. They were fine after a few days' break in.

Overall I am pleased with the boots. They arrived on time and were well packed. The leather is very stiff (but will probably wear in eventually) and the shine is nowhere near the picture. My big concern when ordering them was the zipper; however it works very smoothly and seems to be sturdy. The box the boots were in was not called "Long Haul" they were called "Trucker." I checked o-line and although both the Long Haul and Trucker style look the same there was a price difference, so that may account for the stiff leather and low luster.

I am an Allen Edmonds wing tip fan and so I have never worn western style shoes before. But due to Zappos' liberal return policy, I gave these a try. The first time I put these on I was about to send them back, but I decided to give them a longer try, and now even though I am on my feet all day, I prefer these to my New Balance. I have just ordered another pair in a different color.

One has to love this boot. It is "classy" looking & very well made. I've worn this pair for about a month.

I've had my Laredo's for a few months, unfortunately I haven't had much of an opportunity to wear them. I love the style, with my high instep, needed the zipper, works great.I live in Northern California and our weather has been phenomenal. It has been just too hot for boots.I bought two pairs of UGG's for my great grand daughter, she absolutely loves them

My husband loves the style & fit of these boots, & that they had his 9W size which is hard to find in many boots. I do, however, wish that the leather was a better quality. It says leather upper but seems to be cheaper than leather shoes he has. This company is the only one that makes this short zipper & style of boot so we had no choice.

These boots are good, I enjoy wearing them a lot, but I expect higher quality with this cost.

Good looking and I am happy, only worn 4 times so just breaking them in. I like that you do not know they are "short boots". Would recommend with the generous return policy! Thanks Zappos!

The sole of the shoes are made to big... I have the same pair of boots in another color & they were made right... I'll have to go to a shoemaker & see if I could have them fixed without ruining the boots...

Updated review: I had previously written a sparkling review for this product; however, that has changed, and I wish it wasn't so because they are very comfortable and they look great...or did. Unfortunately, I discovered that if the tips of the boots rub against carpet, the finish comes right off, leaving each boot with a huge light tan circle on top. It looks beyond ridiculous and nothing will bring back the original color. The boots are basically not worth wearing anymore because there is a giant tan circle on the toe of each boot. I don't know if it's just the Spanish Tan color, but it's disappointing given my initial reaction upon receiving them. Having the color wear away with just minimal contact is unacceptable. I was playing with my son on the floor during the holidays and that's when it happened. A family member said - "nice boots," and I said thanks, only to have the person say "I was joking." That's when I looked down and realized that they were ruined. So, I have to say that the quality of the finish is reason not to purchase, unless I received a defective product.

Nice looking and solidly built. BUT - after 2 months of regularly wearing them, the boots still hurt my toes. The front of the boots feel hard against the sides of my feet. This area is not breaking in and conforming to the shape of my feet. I'm throwing them away.

The description says it is real leather upper, however the upper appears to be painted on to look like leather; the dye work is poorly done to the point that the leather upper appears man-made. Also, when zipped up, the gap between the zipped stem, is wide, about 1/8 inch gap, way to large a design flaw, in my opinion, to wear. Overall impression: looks like a kid's toy boot.
