This boot runs about a half size small. I usually wear a 9 in a closed toe shoe, and this 9 was a little small. The Brown color is a lighter brown, leaning toward mushroom. The main reason I'm returning this boot is that it has a very strange fit (my daughter agreed). Even though it has a small heel, it feels as though there is no arch support at all. The toe area of the boot then lifts slightly, making you heel feel like is it sitting lower than your toes. I added an arch support insert, but then it kept sliding forward when I put the boot on (wearing socks). Back it goes.

Love the look and feel of these boots but they're really tight. I wear a 12 and usually don't have a problem with any sizing. Also the right one and can't get off and on without assistance. I don't have one foot larger than other either.

I sent these boots back, bit the bullet and increased my price point for the Frye Veronica shortie boot. These boots (to me) looked and felt much cheaper in person, like they should have been priced at $100.00 or even less. The gray color looked much better in the photo and not so great when I received them. I listened to multiple reviewers and ordered down to a 6.5, I am a solid 7.5...well they only fit barefoot, if that, so I say order your normal size! Lastly, the part of the boot that goes around your leg is fur lined, I was sweating just trying them on! I think on a nice Fall or Spring day, these boots would be way too hot and I would have only been able to tolerate them in the dead of Winter. Wanted to love them, sorry!

Very comfortable, plush furry liner that is great for winter. The look of the leather is very polished however, not distresssed as it appears in the photographs.

Sigh. I was really excited about these but not only is the color (brown) much lighter and shinier than I expected, the fit is somewhat uncomfortable and I just wasn't impressed with how they look with jeans or skirts, so I'm returning them. Maybe I was really looking for more of a cowboy boot and that's my problem. I would say that the liner is very nice and soft, and if I had gotten a slightly larger size I can imagine they would be comfortable to walk in.

I loved the soft buttery feel of the leather, the comfortable width, and the style of these boots, and even the lightly cushioned footbed, but there was not much of any arch support, which I need, so I had to return them. I am still on the quest for the perfect boots.

Impressively comfortable but unfortunately, as other reviewers noted, these boots are more of a grey-brown color rather than a true brown. And although soft, the leather was flimsy and looked cheaper than expected for the price.

After reading the reviews I ordered a half size smaller and ended up sending them back for the true size I wear. They fit nicely, I don't feel that they are worth the money that you pay for them but are just okay. The color is not quite what it looks like either, not really a true brown. I did keep them just because I needed some boots at this height and couldn't find anything else to spend my gift card on.

Extremely comfortable...once you can get your heel in the boot! I ordered my normal size and it was difficult to get heel down into the boot. Putting skinny jeans made them bunch. The color is definitely not as pictured! Its more of a "camel" or Orangey color. They looked very cheap..for a more I can get Frey's. Love Zappos will still shop here but this shoe poorly shown.

I wanted to like these. They were cute out of the box, but I had to tug and pull to put them on. Once they're on, they are okay, but too snug in the toes. I'm just not willing to go through the hassle of tugging them on and off every time.

Very cute boot but too narrow in the toe box. Why don't they make boots with wider toe boxes? Have to return them. Boo!

I was super excited about this boot (in the tan color) . . . until I received it! First of all, WAY too small. I couldn't even get my left foot (the smaller foot!) in and I ordered my regular size (11/42). Two other things struck me about this boot: 1.) It's WAY shorter than it looks in the pictures and video, and 2.) The color! It's not bad, per se, but it's definitely not as shown for the tan. In actuality, the tan is more of a burnt orange, and it's somewhat shiny. But I liked the color. Too bad they didn't fit! (Oh, and they're super soft inside!)

The boots are great—adorable. But, the brown color is NOT BROWN! It's sort of a mousey-grey color. Very strange. The tan is much closer to brown. SO, do not order brown if you want to get a real brown.

These boots fit a bit small - if you are in between sizes, go up to the next size. I ordered the brown in these, in the smaller size, and they were too small. I suspect they would have been comfortable at the next size, but I must say, the color turned me off. Other reviewers commented that they look a bit cheap for the price and I must say they do, which is funny, because the leather is quite soft. Perhaps it is the brown color which is the color of a portobello mushroom - like a taupe vs. a brown.

Fast delivery! The boots are cute, but they don't look like this price. They are also more green than brown. So I'll try again.

I was excited about these boots but was disappointed after wearing them in my living room. Please know that the color is not the rich, chocolately brown pictured but is rather a much lighter cocoa/ cafe au lait color. I liked the soft velour lining. Size and width are true; arch support is on the low side of moderate. The quality seems not worth the price. Maybe I'm just spoiled from wearing Fryes all the time. Unfortunately I am returning these.

I ordered this in tan and brown. Neither color is accurately shown! The tan is more a yellow than the deep brown pictured. Same with the brown it was more olive than brown. I am very disappointed with such a discrepancy.

I ordered a 42, which is supposed to be size 11-12 US. It was short in the toe area, not something that would break in. I'm tall and these boots came to the middle of the thin part of my calf which is not flattering. The leather is super soft! The color is more tan than the photo, and looks more slouchy and less tough in person.

The boots are nice, but not this price nice. The leather is a bit thin and the fit seemed to be a bit long. For the price, I would expect something that feels like it will be long lasting.

Don't know how the fit and size were; no way to get my foot in them. I do have a high instep, but that was ridiculous. They need a zipper.

Couldn't get my foot in them, the arch was too tight. They were really nice boots and loved them, if they had a zipper I would of been ok.

I really tried to like these and even ordered them in two different sizes but both pair had to go back. They are very stiff and the grey color is a very light silver-y grey rather than the darker grey pictured. The distressing is also painted on and scuffed off with wear. I wore them several times and they never got more comfortable so I would not suggest these boots.

I already own a black pair and really wanted another, the red pair. First one I ordered the left boot was much more narrow. Could barely get my foot in. I thought it was just a problem with that one pair, so I ordered another. Same issue with second one I ordered. Left boot much more narrow that right. So odd and unfortunate because I love this boot. You’d think it would be made more accurately given the high price.
