munro is one of the pricier shoe brands for women with large feet. it's not as bad as ferragamo, but more expensive than clark's. at the same time, munros are well made & tend to fit, i.e., after guesstimating your length & width, the shoe isn't too large or small, or too wide or narrow. the traveler appears stodgy, but that's a good thing because they’re easy to coordinate with pants or jeans (& a wild pair of socks!), & equally good with a skirt & tights. did i mention the traveler's comfort level? i've walked miles of city blocks in them, at the end of which my feet remain pain free. i suppose the inner shoe cushioning & the crepe soles affect matters. speaking of which, i’m not sure how resoling will adhere to the traveler, but expect a competent cobbler should be able to handle it.

First bought a 6.5 W but couldn't get my feet in them. Bought WW and they were much better but still snug, hoping they will stretch.

I have wide feet, a bunion, and a hammertoe. I wear an 8 to 9 Wide depending on the shoe, and I usually have to try at least 2 sizes and send one back, or more often send both back, in despair. I can't stand for my feet to be squeezed at all. I tried the 8.5 W in these Munro Travelers, and while the length was basically fine (maybe a tad long), they squeezed. I ordered an 8 WW to compare, and they feel much better. This is way more than I ever pay for shoes, but I am wearing the 8 WW in comfort as I write this, so I think I should keep them. Other reviewers have said that they wore them while traveling, which is why I need them. I will update my review after my trip. If it were not for the great return policy at Zappos, I would have to go barefoot, since stores rarely carry Wide sizes in styles I like. Seriously -- hooray for Zappos.

Call me the odd foot gal! This Munro Traveler fits my needs, they have a little stretch so my wide feet fit into one of the several width options available. I need lots of support and complete covering on my heel to keep my shoe comfortable. It took one return but we got the right size. I wish they came in other colors. I would order several pairs!

This is the best fitting shoe I’ve ever worn. Please note this is my second pair having worn the first pair out over the past 5 years. Wearing a AAAA width I usually have to do a lot of accommodations to try to get a better fit. Munro shoes are by far the only ones that don’t usually require fixing on my part. I just wished Munro would design shoes that are a bit more stylish.

I used to wear a 7.5 medium almost exclusively. Developed plantar fasciitis and tendonitis in my leg which is hanging on for a couple years. The Munro Traveler is a sleek shoe that I was so happy to purchase to get out of my sneakers and heavy shoes using an orthotic. Since using the orthotic I moved up to an 8 and sometimes an 8W. I ordered an 8W and 7.5W. Both were too big. Zappos was so nice to send the second pair but because of my frustration with my own foot and orthotic, I went to the store to see what I could do to get into these shoes. I ended up with a 7.5 medium width. Haven't had the chance to wear them but they are well made and I'm very much looking forward to wearing them on a cruise soon. Love Zappos!

I am usually a 9.5 EE. This shoe was fine in this size with socks. Super cute, material feel very high end. Great sole.

I bought these to take on vacation in Paris as a comfortable shoe that doesn’t resemble a tennis shoe and this fits the bill. Out of the box it felt very narrow in the toe area, but fine in the heel. I wore it around the house and it has stretched enough to be quite comfortable. In fact, I now forget I have them on which is miraculous for me! Am thrilled to have found them.

I ordered a wide but my foot extended over the sole so wasn’t happy with the wide size and returned the shoe. I liked the look and the feel but knew over time that this wouldn’t be a good fit for someone with a wide foot.

I have searched high and low for a long time to find comfortable shoes I can wear with skirts and dresses but my feet are hard to fit: wide, bunions and need orthodics for arch support. Out of the box, these shoes are remarkably comfortable in the width (yay!) but strangely, about half size too long. I sent them back and will try 9 EE instead of 9.5 EE. They are deep enough to handle orthodics which is a big plus for me. The stretchy top part of the shoe helps keep the shoe on my foot so I'm not stepping out of them. Comfort is my number one issue given how cranky my feet can be. The shoes are very basic in design, nothing at all fancy and some might consider these "old lady shoes" but, if the new pair works, I am all in as they will surely look fine for my needs. Fingers crossed the second attempt will be successful.

I have old lady feet-bunion and hammertoes. I ordered a 1/2 size bigger and wider than usual size but still the shoe was tight. Thank goodness Zappos let me return with no problem and continue my search for a comfortable fit for my cruise Toyko to Vancouver in May.

Too narrow. Normally stretch fabric fits me great. This did not.

I normally wear an 8.5 N but found this size was too narrow. Exchanged for B Medium width and I'm very happy with the fit.

I love Munro American shoes! I am generally a 9 /2 narrow. This pair was just too, too narrow for me, especially since I hope to wear them with socks as the weather turns cold. I returned them, but I will try 9 1/2 medium. Munro uses top quality materials and their shoes last years and have classic styling, so are worth the price.

did not fit, a little snug

The length runs pretty true to size. They run narrow, I usually need a AA, but may be able to wear these in a regular width. I accidentally ordered a half size up when I went to the medium width and they're too big. Hopefully, third time will work.

These are cute, but super narrow. I rarely can wear a medium even in Monroe, but the AA is way too narrow. the top of the shoe comes up pretty high on the foot. the fabric isn't very stretchy, so no go. I'm going to try a medium

I have narrow heels so the medium was too large. My heels kept slipping out. I also ordered the same pair in 12N and will keep them. They are snug in the toe box but seem comfortable.

I wear a 9.5 narrow and have purchased Munro in the past. These are very narrow, especially across the top of the foot. Tight. Had to return.

I really liked these shoes. They are very nice looking and they were narrow enough for me to keep on, which is a challenge with my very narrow heel. But my right foot is a tiny bit longer than the left foot and the right shoe was just a tiny bit too short. I hated to return them.

Although I ordered a wide, this shoe was way too narrow in the toe box for me. Otherwise, a great looking shoe that I would have worn a lot.

Purchased these for traveling. The shoe is comfortable to wear all day, sleek, supportive, and perfect to wear with black slacks or jeans. I find the shoe looks dressier than a pair of sneakers. But, in going through the TSA Precheck at the airport wearing my Munro Travelers I triggered the metal detector. The TSA agent asked me to remove my shoes and walk through the metal detector again. Yep, it was the shoes. How disappointing to know that my Monro Travelers won't be traveling again.

Beautiful shoes, but my instep is too high, and they hobbled me in my first steps in them.

Very comfortable everyday shoe and I love that it comes in my size - 10.5 AAAA! While it may feel a bit tight over the top of the foot when you first put it on, it soon adjusts. I hope it doesn't stretch out in the future. One negative - the shoes must be removed when you go through the airport check-in, even with TSA Pre. I am assuming there is metal in the footbed because it will set off the sensor.
