Unfortunately, these shoes arrived with one of the laces broken....in addition, although there was nice arch support, it didn't "hit" me in the right spot and was uncomfortable.

I would normally wear a 40 but that size was not available, so I went for a 41. They fit quite well considering they are one size larger, though there's a fair amount of room around the top of my foot and toes, so I must wear socks for warmth. I've never spent so much money on slippers but the arch support is so yummy on my feet, I really love them. It's a completely different slipper experience...normally I keep my slippers at my bedside and just slide into them and go. Because these have a smaller opening, I keep them in my bathroom and just wear my old slippers until I'm ready to get into my Giesswein's for the day. I work from home, so I'm in them all day long. When I'm ready to put them on, I have to sit down and work my way into the slipper -- thank goodness for the loop at the heel -- then pull the cord around the top tight so it doesn't slip.

Slipper was much too heavy for me. Felt like I would be worn out walking around the house in them. I do have muscle weakness, though, so it may not be a problem for anyone else. I felt like I would be clonking around :(-

Feels a bit small. Not good for big bunions but the support is good. More of a shoe than a slipper so it felt a little clunky. Color was very pretty!

It felt true to size & width. It has excellent arch support, I have high arches and they feel great. They do not have a padded insole, but are still comfortable. They are a bit heavy, not like most cheap house shoes. I'm happy with my purchase. I think they will last a long time.

These are cute, cozy slippers with what seems to be very good arch support. My high instep made it a job to get into them, and for that reason alone I returned them. Aside from that, they seemed perfect. I'm usually a true size 7; ordered a 7 and they would have been the right size for a person with a normal instep.

Contrary to some of the reviews, I found the sizing to be accurate. I wear a size ,6 and occasionally a 6.5 in shoes that run small, so I went ahead and ordered a 37 and a 38. The 37 (similar to american size 6) fit very well. I am exchanging these for the black as I didn't love the color. However, I found these indoor/outdoor shoes to be very comfortable with excellent arch support.

Not so cute but a good arch. No warm fur lining, which I should have read in the description so my fault. Also, I sized up and that was a mistake. For a slim low volume foot this is true to size.

Bought these to wear as house slippers with enough width and stretch for bunions. These have been used daily for the last 4 months, average 10 hours a day. Very comfortable and have worked great. Now though, the drawstring is getting close to breaking. The black cover is completely warn, leaving the small white string left to do all the work. I imagine it won't be long until they break and I won't be able to wear the shoes anymore. The shoe is designed so that you need the string to tighten the top to have a snug fit. Without that string, the shoe is going to just fall off. I know I have used these a lot, but I am disappointed that they didn't even make half a year/a whole winter. These aren't cheap, I was hoping I would make at least 6 months.

My fiance really liked these on me, but I went with a slide version because I wanted something I could slip on and off without hands. My heels also slipped out a bit as I walked (they do that even in flats). I'm usually a 39, but ordered a 40 as suggested. They were still too short. Order two sizes up!

I love these slippers. I did have to order the next size up for comfort. They have a great arch support. Better than most shoes. My only complaint is that the adjuster to tighten around the ankle to keep them on, needs to be tighten up more often than I like. I may have to change that to a tied lace instead.

I love these slippers, however not long after I got them the string around the thread, that keeps them on snuggly, ripped, and since they come off easy. Wish there was a way to fix the issue.

The fit was okay, but the bulky style was not flattering. Felt like a smoochy slipper.

These are comfortable, cool in summer and warm in winter. However, not happy with the durability. A couple of months ago I noticed wear in the big toe area on the left slipper. It has turned into a hole at the time of this writing. With the holidays approaching I did not contact Zappos about the issue. These are expensive to only hold up for a year!

Nice slipper. Google Giesswein's website. You may not have the color selection but you can get the same slipper for almost half the price.

I spent the extra money on these because I was in pain. I was encouraged by the reviews and hoped that these would be better than the Minnetonkas that I was wearing when I developed plantar fasciitus. Unfortunately, after only a few minutes of walking in these, I was in dire pain again. I am a 10.5 U.S. in Merrells and Nikes. I went with the 44 EU size in these. The foot bed is almost exactly the size of my foot. However, the arch supports seem to be set back a bit and my heel just barely hangs over the back end. I hope with new inserts (for plantar fasciitis) that these will fit properly. They are warm and cozy so I will keep them and wear them later in the year with new inserts. For now I will stick to wearing my Merrell shoes around the house until the pain goes away. If you are between a Men's size 10.5 and 11 U.S. I would recommend ordering a size 45 EU.

I so wanted to like this slipper, but it's going back. Ordered a size up like other reviewers suggested and it was too big. I am an 8.5 or 39 so ordered the 40. Maybe because I do not wear socks with it? The 39 fit but the part I disliked was the toe area. Harder material on top of toe was uncomfortable. Thank you Zappos for great customer service, yet once again! I'll keep trying....

Not at all worth the cost. Fit, size and arch support were all quite good. The material and construction of the upper, however, was not. The outer red wool started fraying around the ankle w/in a few weeks, then spread to the rest of the slipper over the next few months. I didn't do anything crazy in these other than wear them inside, mostly while sitting at my desk working remotely during the COVID period. I still wear them b/c the sole is still stable and supportive, and simply b/c I haven't made time to order a different pair. My next pair won't be a Giesswein product.

I have a high instep and a high arch. These slippers are THE most comfortable. I gave them a low overall rating because the fabric that covers the cord around the top of your foot has ripped after just 4 months. I only wear these around the house (admittedly, that's where I am most of the time, but I also wear other shoes). For the price, I would expect them to last longer.

I really wanted to love these slippers but instead found them to be incredibly uncomfortable. The insole was so hard it felt like my arches were being bruised. I tried them on many times hoping the fit & comfort would improve. Unfortunately it did not and today they are being returned to Zappos

These arrived with loose threads causing a hole on the side and a broken lace hanging out! Poor construction! Very disappointing because they were extremely comfortable. Returning, not worth the cost.

Women's size 10, felt too tight and too narrow for my feet. I normally wear a 9-1/2 shoe.

The slipper is very heavy and a little short in the toe area. I usually wear a size 7 1/2 and ordered the US size 8, the next size up would have been to big. I have chronic Achilles Tendonitis and the weight of this slipper was uncomfortable. Guess my daughter will get another pair of my rejects. I have been looking for a very light weight slipper with really good heel support and arch support. And so far have not been successful.

It looked good, it felt good, but.....the toggle pull cord broke in just a few months with not that much wearing actually. This is a poorly designed closing on this shoe. I would not recommend anyone purchasing it. BUT, this one breaking led me to the Camden shoe of the same maker and I love love love this shoe. After a year of wearing it very often, it's really like it's still new looking and feeling.

These look like excellent quality, but I couldn't even get them on my feet as the opening is so small. I do have a high arch and instep, but I couldn't get past the first third of my foot into shoe. Also, the description said something about a lining, and I couldn't feel any lining, the wool is directly against your skin. I wouldn't have given a star rating as I wasn't able to even try them on, but it is required to post the review.
