I love these pants. I am 5'4" and weigh 133 lbs. I bought size 4 (I wear a size 6 in pants that are not NYDJ). I carry my excess weight mainly in my belly and hips. I purchased these pants in gray in a department store and loved them, then bought the black here on Zappos. The black seems like a somewhat less dense material than the gray, but I still love them. Well made, very comfortable. Tummy tuck technology is great. They are not skin tight on my legs, but are fitted enough to easily wear boots without having the material bunch up. Skin tight makes my hips look a little big and these pants don't do that. Can be dressed up or down. Can be worn with long sweaters or shorter (because they are not skin tight). Highly recommended.

I bought these for myself for Christmas. I really like the fit. The waistline fits perfectly and the material is smooth and a nice weight. They are not too thin.

These are the BEST leggings EVER!! Hide everything, make you look slimmer, comfortable, if a little hard to pull up, but worth it. Buy these, you won't regret it. I feel like I might need several pairs in case they stop selling them.

Love these, and find myself always washing to have ready for the next time. Form fitting, but not too much. Both causal and appropriate for work. Can't go wrong with NYDJ.

These are great pull-on leggings. The ponte is a nice soft fabric that is very comfortable. The design of these leggings are much nicer than others from high-end stores. They do not show any "camel toe"...as Joan Rivers and Heidi Klum would say...so that's a real plus in my opinion. The fabric is also substantial enough to make these great for cooler weather. I bought both of the colors offered: black and ganache. My only complaint is the NYDJ sizing; it is not consistent. I can try on one pair of jeans, and I'm a size 0. I try on another pair of jeans, and I'm a size 2. In these leggings, I'm a size 4. This inconsistency makes it difficult to know what size to order? But thank goodness for Zappos who makes ordering inconsistent, manufacturing sizes a breeze. I can order 2 or 3 sizes, choose what fits best, and use Zappos' easy returns to maintain a wonderful wardrobe. Thank you Zappos for great clothes and easy returns.

Although I have not worn these leggings yet, when I tried them on I was so impressed with the way the fit. I recently lost 40lbs and treated myself to this item. Can't wait for the weather to get cold so I can wear them with my new tunics and new boots. The material was perfect. Not too heavy but still warm. I recently purchased the Sara Boot Jean which I totally adore and would recommend to anyone. Whether you are heavy or slim these pants are also the best pants I have ever worn and I am a jean girl. I love Zappos and can never say enough wonderful things about them. All websites could learn from their customer service and care. You rock Zappos.

So happy with this purchase so far. The waistband does indeed go all the way to the waist - and it is wide and substantial, but not too constricting. The little x-pattern in the front holds your tummy in. The fabric is substantial, but I think a bit to thick for a Nevada summer. Fine for fall and winter. They are long and I like the way they bunch up a little at the ankle. For those complaining about the length, for God's sake just have them hemmed. In fact, I think it would be perfect to have a pair hemmed shorter and keep another pair longer. I am 5' 5'' and a firm/not flabby 156 lbs and the size 6 is perfect. I think they'll still fit at my lower weight of about 147 lbs. I usually wear an 8 but always go down at least one size in NYJD. Comparing heights and weights does not always work if you don't take into consideration body composition. At 55 years old I'm deathly afraid of the "mom Jeans" look. These are fitted but not "skanky" tight - a perfect compromise for a middle-aged women who likes to stay current and sexy but appropriate and sophisticated.

Love these leggings! They are so comfortable, high quality and look like actual skinny pants. I just got back from Paris and wore them both dressy and casual for during the day. I got a size 6 which is my normal pants size.

These leggings truly fit well and have a fabric with some weight. Plus there is the tummy control panel. They are also long. I am 5'7", 170#, bought a 14 and probably could have used a 12. Wish they came in other colors. I have been looking for a brown, but the reviews of other leggings are not as good as for these.

I feel qualified to call myself a "black stretchy pant expert" because I've been buying them and wearing them religiously for over 5 years now. They've come a long way and I must say, these ones are leaders of the pack. There are only a few cons, which are fixable: they're very long, but I just fold mine under and it looks fine, and the multiple tags around the waistband are SO itchy, but I just unstitched mine. I had no idea what they meant by this revolutionary crisscross front panel business, but I was pleasantly surprised. Basically there is an extra piece of thin fabric covering your tummy area which just kind of lightly flattens it out. Never seen this before, but I like it! The fabric is a perfect weight, well for me it is because I live in San Francisco where it's not typically too hot. Perhaps they are too heavy for real summers. But that's what makes them like actual pants. I would wear them with a short top if I had the body I had 5 years ago...

I have two pairs of these pants. They are perfect; you can dress them up or with a tee and you look great!

I am in love with these pants! I was a little apprehensive about ordering these because of the price but let me say, they are worth it! As one previous reviewee stated, you get what you pay for. These suck in your tummy without being uncomfortable. I am 5'9, weigh 215 and I bought a size 16. I could possibly have gone down a size because these were not difficult to get on at all and I don't feel bound up in any way. They are nice and long which can be an issue for me because I'm tall. I have looked around for quite some time for leggings that suck you in and when I saw these go one sale I thought, what the heck. Glad I tried them.

Very flattering and very comfortable. Definitely recommend. My usual size in pants fit perfectly. Do not put in the dryer! Will be doll size if you do (I've had pants in the same fabric before and ruined them...definitely don't want to ruin these).

These are just what I was looking for - tight fitting pants that come all the way up to my waist and down to my ankles. They are a substantial weight and fit well. I'm 5'6 and weigh 125 with slim hips and the 6 fits great.

Love, love, love these! Order one size up and you'll probably get a perfect fit. Wish they still had the deep chocolate (Ganache) color!

NYDJ always fits a real body with a real waist. I'm 5'8" and these are actually long enough. It's a fairly heavy-weight fabric--substantial enough and non-gym looking to wear under a tunic around town.

Being in New England these are a great weight for our winters. Love the tummy panel. The 2 drawbacks were 1-- too long, I should have tried petite, and 2-- they don't have enough spandex or something to stay completely smooth all day - causes baggy knees when I wear them inside my riding boots.

Was on the fence about ordering these leggings, they were pricey. However, well worth the proce. Nice fabric and they fit well. I thought they may be a bit short for me (5' 9"), but the length is perfect. Buy these leggings, you won't be sorry.

I ordered these for trips to Denver and New York. I wore them on the plane for both trips. Extremely comfortable and when paired with a tunic top and boots made me very stylish! The fit was great and material thick enough that I didn't feel naked or cold.

I have formed a great, lasting love for these jeans. I don't have any "zipper push out" at the waist, and my tops look much more attractive as a result. The fit is perfect and so is the feel.

Love these leggings. I work from home and wanted to get away from frumpy but comfortable fleece. These did the trick. Still comfy, but I no longer look like I'm wearing pajamas. My husband loves how I look in these, and I've received lots of compliments from friends. I'm about 10 pounds heavier than I should be, but I feel and look slim in these. Nice Pants. Very comfortable and high quality thickness. They are high-waisted but I think that's just one of the things that make them so comfortable.

These are awesome. I'm 5'11" and took a chance on them with the listed 29" inseam, and they are long enough, in fact longer than the courdoroy version listed as 30" inseam. Great fabric and slimming and comfy.
