I have had these shoes for about 10 months now and love them. I wear them every day and they still look great. Most important - they have cured my aching feet and knees. I have bunions and these shoes have been heaven sent. I chose Sanita over Dansko because Sanita is still made in Europe. When Dansko broke off on its own they started making their shoes in China.

I decided to try these shoes after suffering from the effects of years of wearing unsupportive shoes. They aren't as cute as the shoes I used to wear, but the support and comfort is incredible. I've been having persistent foot pain after a severe sprain to my ankle, and wearing these Sanitas has alleviated almost all of that residual pain in just a few weeks. I originally planned to buy Danskos. After trying both brands on, however, I found that the Sanita was much more comfortable for my foot and not so excessively wide at the heel (as I found the Danskos to be). I did have to buy a 39, though, despite the fact that I usually buy shoes in a size 7.5. I think that the shape of your foot will impact sizing greatly in these shoes, so it's wise to try a variety of sizes before giving up on them as being ill-fitted. Quick note about color: I got the burgundy shade. I think that this color in particular is gorgeous and online pics just don't do it justice. It's deep and rich and really goes with everything. I highly recommend these shoes if you are looking for comfort and support. They are the best thing that I've done for the health of my feet. Additionally, if the shape is giving you pause, they don't look too "frankenstein-y" peaking out under bootcut jeans.

I am very disappointed with these shoes. I was told that they are the same quality as Dansko, but, after only a year, the covering is coming off of the heels. The sole material is also coming apart and the toe box is losing its shape. I am unhappy that I have to replace them already.

These run small. I wear a US size 9 (Eur 40), but had to order a 41 in theses. Higher arch support than Dansko. My shoes are slightly different colors (they could have done a better job at color-matching) but wore outside so can't return. 5 stars for Zappos' customer service and quick shipping!

I ordered a pair of Dansko shoes as well as the Sanitas because I didn't know which I would like better. I kept the Sanitas as they fit my small feet better. I ordered the same size for both brands of shoes and the Danskos were too big. I also liked that the Sanitas did not squeek on the floor as the Danskos did.

I have been wearing Sanita's for years. I have 2 pairs that I bought several years ago and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. So I ordered a new pair in black feeling very confident that I knew what I was doing. The size I normally wear are now 1/2 size too small so had to order up to next size. However, the fit is off. The toe bed now has a dip in the leather which my current shoes do not have. This dip rubs on the bone of my big toe causing pain and not able to stand having them on for more than a minute. They are definitely going back! I am SO disappointed as these are hands down better than any other shoe i've owned up until now. I will hang on to old shoes until they wear out which may be some time as I've owned them for 10 years now. Too bad. I may have to bite the bullet and buy Dansko.

These fit great and are very comfortable however within a few weeks I wear the upper portion of the toes was completely scuffed off and discolored. I am very disappointed because they are so comfortable.

Durability: For the last 1.5 years, I have been wearing a pair of these 3x/week on linoleum floors for 12+ hour shifts. They are still in working condition, but the toes now need frequent polishing, soles are a bit worn, and leather is misshapen around the forefoot. I notice that my feet are starting to ache after my shifts, so I know it's time for a new pair. Comfort: Once I figured out the right size, I couldn't imagine a more comfortable shoe for work. I wear them with compression socks, and the combo eliminated my foot and shin pain. I used to wear Crocs, which pale in comparison. Sizing: I normally wear a 6. I have high arches/instep, and my toe area is slightly too wide to comfortably wear Converse (but I force my feet into them anyway). The 37 Wide is the right size for me. When these fit right, they shouldn't touch the edges of your feet when you are standing still. Versus Danskos: Danskos felt like a cheaper, glued-together version of these. The heel felt narrower and less stable, they have less arch support, and the materials aren't as nice. Drawbacks: I secretly worry that shuffling around in these for so many hours is going to give me weak calves. I very occasionally "fall off my clog" when I get tired, which makes me look dumb but is otherwise harmless. I sometimes envy my coworkers who look cool in running shoes and wonder if these slow me down when I run to codes. I don't feel particularly streamlined.

I ordered these along with 2 pairs of Dansko to compare fit and these won. I have worn both brands for 20 years and Sanita just has a better, more consistent fit. One pair of the Dansko were huge and the other had one shoe much larger than the other. I also like that Sanita are made in Europe.

I have worn Danskos for 15 years and after reading that the footbed was made by Sanita I decided to buy these. My feet are as happy as they ever were with the original Dansko. These will always be in my closet!

I'm not sure which I'm more happy with...this shoe...or my experience with Zappos.com. I returned my shoes twice(effortlessly!) and both times I had the nicest representatives help me, who were willing to assist in finding the perfect shoe for me. I have been a die hard Dansko wearer for years and although I was resistant to trying anything other than Dansko, I was willing to try this Sanita out. The fit is very true to size b/c I am normally a 9 and so the 9 wide ended up being a perfect fit. I have been trying to stay with regular width yet finally now realize that wide just is so much more comfortable for me. And I will say that the arch support is much better in this Sanita vs. my regular Dansko shoes! I never thought I would like a shoe as much and be able to stay on my feet for such lengthy days like I've been doing for years with my Danskos. This is a solid shoe with a beautiful finish that I'm sure I will have for years to come. And I am so happy that Zappos went above and beyond in suggesting alternative brands and even made a price adjustment for the third shoe that cost a bit more. Zappos...you have won me over with your customer service, quality, ease of returning and follow thru...thank you for doing everything right!!!

I love these shoes! They fit better than the Dansko brand, a little more snug. I'm on concrete floors for 5 to 7 hours a day and my feet feel great at the end. Would highly recommend!

I have several pair of Sanitas, and I do recommend this shoe. However, this pair will be going back. The right shoe was definitely smaller than the left. It was tight and did not sit right on my foot. I love the look... really wish they had fit like the rest of my Sanita clogs.

Love these clogs. I have narrow feet with high arches and they fit well. Podiatrist recommended clogs to help heal Achilles tendinitis, and they are providing the support my tendon needs. They fit better than the Dansko's did.

Better than Danskos because they don't squeak, and they're the original makers. Otherwise this are nicely colored, sturdy, and great arch support. A little narrow around the toes. They'll take some breaking in for the pinky toes and the back of my heel/achilles tendon.

I love these shoes! I'm on my feet 11 hours a day, and my feet don't even know it. The Dansko pair I have are just as comfortable, but in the Sanita pair I don't feel as if I'm going to kick a shoe off when I'm running full speed.

I expected to hate these. I spent so many hours researching and reading reviews before forking out the cash to buy these. They are not my style, really. I am not a clog girl. I also thought that I would hate - truly hate - the fact that they slip a little on the heel (as they are supposed to), but surprisingly, it feels totally natural. They are so comfortable that I do not want to take them off. I have been wearing out my good quality street shoes (Borns) at work (I work in the restaurant industry), but they were not slip resistant, and despite the good quality, I could tell that they could not take the beating, and they were not slip-resistant, which I need for work. These shoes are light, super comfortable, and sturdy. And, they are not at all bad-looking. Kind of cute, actually. They feel completely true to size I wear a 6, which I ordered, and they fit perfectly. That said, they feel interestingly snug on the top of the left foot - the instep - and I have low insteps. So if you have a really high instep perhaps they will feel snug on you. I can tell that it will not be a problem after a few wearings. I picked these after visiting the doctor, who was wearing them. She had been wearing hers for five years, and while they showed some obvious wear, she swore by them. Overall, I love these. It is totally worth the investment.

I have really difficult feet -- I have permanent nerve damage on my right foot that has resulted in deformed toes and serious pain when I walk. I have a large bunion on my left foot that needs surgery, but that has to wait until after two family weddings this summer. These shoes are amazing. Both of my feet are happy!

I wear a 42 in the womens Dansko professional black cabrio and ordered the same size in Sanita professional because they had the brown color I was searching for. I wear a womens size 11 in all my tennis and running shoes and am a B width. The Sanita does run more snug but fit my feet perfectly. I love the comfort and look under bootcut jeans and dress pants for work. I have had many positive comments from women wearing the same clogs, saying they thought they looked great on me and that more men should try these shoes. Wish I could get away with wearing more of the great patent patterns like the leopard print and tooled styles of the professional. Between these 2 pairs of clogs and a brown and black pair of Franco Sarto Boccas this guy is ready to take on the day in comfort and style.

This is the 3rd pair of Sanita clogs I've bought. They have the same support as the Dansko but are slightly narrower, so I think they are truer to size. The last Danskos I bought I had to give away because they slid around on my feet and gave me blisters unless I wore very thick socks with them.

I love the color of this shoe! Unfortunately, this has to be sent back because it's way too small. I wear a size 9 and ordered a 39 as recommended by customer service and the sizing chart. Too bad, 'cause it's a beauty (less red than the picture)!

I ordered the Cabrio Leather and the Oil Leather in size 39. I've always worn a 38 in Sanita Clogs but several reviews recommended ordering up a size. I loved the fit of Oil leather but the leather itself was rather dull. I would have purchased the Cabrio, but the left shoe was about 1/2 size larger. Will try an exchange.

I first ordered a pair of Dansko clogs and found the narrow width to be too wide for my feet. I wish I had read the Sanita reviews first as others had said this brand fit their small or narrow feet better. I found the Sanita brand to be narrower. Using the sizing guide I found my feet to be right between size 38 and 39 so I purchased size 39 and find the shoes to be a good fit. I am enjoying the comfort and the excellent arch support. With size 39 I find the arch to be in the right spot for my feet.
