I suppose this may work for people with a really, really high arch, but the "arch" support was really uncomfortable - it felt like they cut a golf ball in 1/2 and put it under the cushioning. Going back.

I have neuropathy and wasn't able to walk down the stairs with these slippers. I will return them.

I have bought 3 pairs of these slippers over the years and no more. They start off fine, comfortable and supportive the arches great. Gradually, they stretch out and the velcro cannot accommodate much tightening. Eventually they are so big and floppy, I deem them dangerous. I tripped out of them too many times.
Because the foot bed is a hard material, the arch support is excellent. But, it doesn't help if the shoes fall off your feet. . .
If they could make a slipper with a back and make it less wide and floppy, I would buy again. This one, no way.

Love the fit and support! I actually got a pair for Christmas and bought another pair the following year. The reason I bought a new pair is because they stink SO bad and the care guildlines said not to wash. I never wear them because they stink, I hide them in my closet in a box now. I should throw them, but I keep wanting them to be bearable, but as soon as I take them off again the smell is awful!

I love my orthoheel flipflops/sandals and thought I'd invest in a pair of slippers to wear around the house. My orthoheels are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I tell everyone that I don't even think about my feet now --where before I was always complaining about my aching feet. I have plantar fasciitis and my flipflop style shoes have been great this summer. I am so disappointed in these slippers. The 8s are a tad bit tight so I went up to 9s. Size 9 would have worked except it wasn't only longer but "fatter". The slipper just felrl off my foot when I walked. It was huge around and didn't fit my foot snug like a house slipper does to stay on. The ortho heel is good, but this slipper just didn't work. I will keep looking for the perfect orthoheel slippers and shoes. So far, only the flipflop style has worked.

Big fan of Vionics, but unfortunately these aren't going to work. They are too wide, and even with the adj Velcro tabs they aren't secure enough. It would be too much work to keep them on. Otherwise, they would have been great. Sadly I will have to keep looking for the perfect slipper for PF.

The top of the slipper has a metal or plastic wire inside the padded fabric edge but it still dig into the skin on the top of my foot - as soon as I tried them on. Returning them. I was hoping to find a slipper with arch support and am disappointed that I have to return these. I love Vionic (Orthaheel) shoes otherwise.

This has turned out to be very hard to keep on my feet. The velcro adjustment is for very wide feet so I can't get it narrow enough to stay on without getting cramps in my legs.

My doctor wanted me in a supportive slipper and recommended these. I have a very average foot with an arch issue. These are so wide, they are difficult to walk in. I cannot tighten them on my foot enough, although they are adjustable. The length is good so I can't go smaller. Frustrating.

I thought these were the answer to my prayers when they first arrived, but they quickly lost the support they originally had. I have high arches and the description sounded like they would be great around the house.

This slipper has a strange fit and feel. it does run small (I sized up). Also, the vamp seems too short so it feels like you will walk out of the slipper. Finally, the arch support is placed oddly and it's lumpy! I own other Vionic shoes which are great but this is definitely not the same.

I need to add some of my $.02 so to give some balance about the fact of these slippers. I have foot problem and need a good pair of slippers for around the house on the hardwood floor. For me, there are 2 things wrong with these slippers. First, the arch support is way too high. Second, the footbed is way too hard. I really want to make it work, but after walking around the house for 1/2 hour, my legs and feet are in pain. These may work well for some but not for all.

I love Vionic/Orthaheel shoes and was looking for slippers to wear around the house. I had bought Spenco slippers last year and they are just not as supportive (the arch is not high enough). So when I saw these, I immediately ordered them. They were super comfortable out of the box and I thought that I had found my perfect slippers. But after half an hour, the top of my foot was badly hurting and sore. So I am returning them. I really wanted to keep them but I was very disappointed. It feels like the borderline of the top of the slipper fabric has some hard pipping inside that digs into the top of the foot after a while.

Umm comfortable, but a little clunky looking. I was looking for something both comfortable and a little sleeker looking, so I returned them. Don't know why they don't make such things for women? But thanks Zappos for the excellent customer service!

I really wanted to like these slippers. The reviews made them sound like a wonderful relief for feet, which suffer from plantar fascitis. However, the inside part opposite of the tabs rubbed against my arches, and I knew it was a matter of time before I had blisters there. They are very warm, comfortable for the bottom of my feet, and fit true to size, but I don't think the rubbing part is going to go away. Darn it. I'll go back to wearing my Crocs around the house.

I have the Relax open toe slipper and it can be adjusted so that the width is correct for me. But this Gemma closed toe slipper is much too wide, even when adjusted to the maximum extent possible. I cannot keep these on my feet and am returning them immediately. This is very frustrating as I need closed toe slippers for plantar fasciitis.

The slippers did not stay on my feet easily and I was tripping and did not feel safe. Maybe I am just not used to slippers without backs - I cannot say. The terry and cushioning felt nice, but I had to return them.

I had the same issue as another reviewer I bought them in black and tan leopard. The black fit fine and in fact I just bought another pair but the Leopard print never did fit correctly. I tried adjusting it many times but the arch support is so hard it made my feet feel like they were constantly turned inward, forced down on the inside of my foot. It was very uncomfortable. Zappos is aware of this issue.

I purchased this slippers along with 2 others (Acorn and Old Friend scuffs) to compare comfort and fit. Of the 3, these were my least favorite. To start, they ran way too big. I am 6 1/2, and the 7's were completely huge on me. The arch support didn't hit in any of the right places on my foot. The tops of the slipper were very stiff and tight, and did not feel soft and cozy on my feet like a slipper should. The other 2 slippers had sheepskin interior, and after comparing those to this pair, it was clear that I was really looking for the sheepskin softness. I didn't find the heels to be very cushioned, which wasn't very comfy either. I can see how these would work for those people who need strong arch support, but sizing is key. These were a quick decision to return given the horrible sizing and lack of cushion & sheepskin softness.

In my opinion, these slippers should be named OrthaArch. It's a very high arch! Seems as though it's made for folks with high arches. I am a flat footed person suffering from the heel pain of plantar fasciitis and they certainly didn't work for me.

I purchased the tan Gemma mule slipper two years ago after suffering pain from plantar fasciatis. It took a few days to get used to the arch support but when I did I wore them all the time at home as they were the only shoe/slipper to give me relief. After my pain eventually went away I kept wearing them and purchased other ortha-heel shoes for arch support. I noticed that when I am on my feet for extended periods of time my back even feels better when I switch to these slippers. One problem was that the footbed liner peeled away after one year, probably from extensive use on my part. Nonetheless, I am about to purchase another pair as the other ones look very worn and they are not washable.

Had I not waited too long, I would have returned these. They are very hard, and I kept hoping they would soften, but they did not, and made sore places on my instep. Had to quit wearing them.

I loved these when I first got them! I have a horrible heel spur and cannot go without shoes; these were perfect for wearing around the house. I have now had them for about eight months and can no longer wear them. The support has worn down so much that my bone spur throbs. They will not stay in place and slip around so much that now my knee has begun to hurt while wearing them. They are definitely not worth the money!

Very uncomfortable even after more than a week's wearing. Left foot was okay, but right shoe had support in the wrong places and hurt my foot to the point I couldn't wear them. Too bad because I really liked them.

Be warned: The fabric is very synthetic and makes your feet hot. My feet never sweat and after about 5 minutes my feet are hot in these slippers. I wanted to love them because the arch support is great. I may exchange for the plain terry cloth fabric. Hoping that is more more "breathable" than the prints. These slippers would be perfect if they were actually cotton fabric.
