I bought these and another pair of Mephistos with high hopes of finding a very stylish walking boot. These are really beautiful shoes and the quality is evident, but they didn't fit my wide toes. People had mentioned the brand fitting bunions, which I don't have, but I was hoping that meant a roomier toe box. Sometimes I can wear M widths if the shoe is cut wide. Both pairs of Mephistos were almost high-heel like tight on my toes, so I'd say they're best suited to N or M width feet. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned foot cushioning - this pair did feel a little thin on the bottom, but to be fair I couldn't give them a good tryout. I'm leaving this review and one for the other style I tried just to save another W width person the effort. They are so beautiful - if they fit your foot you will be please with how they look. I wanted to love these shoes and I did, until I put them on. And then they were oh so tight. I brought them because I wanted a truly comfortable boot and I'm sorry to say that this was just not it. True, I do have an "average" foot that is on the wide side but I felt like this boot was made for people with narrow feet, which mine is not. The heel area was roomy and I had enough toe room -- just not enough width. But they are so cute. Just adorable. And so light-weight -- if only they fit. These are going back.
