This shoe wasn't cute in any way, but I wanted ease of putting on and off, and arch support in one. However, there isn't enough cushioning to make it comfortable for walking. The arch support is amazing, but the top of the shoe is so tight, and has no give. It cut into my foot. So while the adjustable strap was great, the toe box was just too small and I think the leather was poor quality and won't stretch like better leather would.

I usually love Orthaheel shoes and sandals. I really wanted to love these but for some reason, they don't support like other Orthaheels I have. My plantar fasciitis flares up and my lower back hurts when I wear these all day. :-(

Okay, first things first. I am 125 lbs., 5' 5" and have high arches and plantar fasciitis for past two years. I bought these hoping they would help. They are "okay", but nothing special. And if you're like me (more on the slight side), they will come flinging off your feet. I have the buckle on the very last notch and still no dice. I believe the real issue is that they make these shoes for most Americans / heavier folks. Even the shoe bed is way too wide for normal people. If I shove a really heavy wool sock on, they're just okay. Other than that, get yourself some Tevas which have adjustable straps all around.

Shoe comfortable, but toebox much wider than it looks. Also made from manmade materials and doesn't seem like a long-lasting shoe. Having said that I was satisfied enough to keep them.

This shoe is very wide. If not for the adjustable strap and thick socks, I would not be able to wear it. But an Orthaheel that's not a sandal is the difference between pain and comfort in cold weather.

I loved this cute shoe, but it is too short and my toes bump up against the front! I ordered two other styles and they are not too short. There must be some problem with sizing from this company, because another style was really wide. When I decided I would try them a half size larger in this shoe, to my surprise, they are not available in half sizes! Too bad.

I'm new to the Orthaheel brand, but found them comfortable after a very short break-in. And they're cute in a funky kind of way. My problem with them is that even with the strap tightened, they've fallen off and it's very easy for my foot to slip out. For that reason, I'm reluctant to wear them much. I don't want the embarrassment of having my shoes fall off in public, and even more, I don't want to risk injury, especially on stairs. I'd give the brand another try but my next pair of Orthaheels will not be mules, even though I like and wear mules from other brands without problem.

I got these today and immediately put them on. The comfort was awesome on the bottom of my feet and arches. But within 10 minutes I had rubbed a red painful spot on the joint at the base of my big toe on both feet. I put socks on with them but at that point the joint hurt too much to keep them on. I guess my feet and this style don't go together. Back they go but I will try a different style. I have the open toed slippers and several sandals that I love.

I truly liked this shoe. However, first I thought that I purchased the wrong size. Exchanged it for the next size and it still didn't work the toe box is cut very tight. I wish it had a little more room. So back they go.

So far, there are only two shoes I have found that allow me to walk without pain. Chaco sandals and Orthaheel Tide flip flops. The Woman's Chacos have a weird arch and I ended up buying men's instead. They are pretty amazing. Recently, a friend of mine turned me onto Orthaheel Tide flip flops and I have been amazed because they have given me my life back. I have something called Tarsal Tunnel on the right side of my right heel, its very similar to Carpel Tunnel. This condition is very painful. The Tide flip flops are great for summer but I live in snow country and will really need shoes I can wear with socks. I bought the Melissa Mule for indoor wear. These shoes run at least one full size small. The front of the shoe bends up, which causes your foot to slide back over the heel. I had to tighten the straps all the way and the end of the strap is almost dragging on the ground. They are not as supportive as the Tides, the arch is not as high. I decided to exchange them for a larger size but the only one available is the color I don't want! Orthaheel has a wonderful product but should probably focus more on the design instead of fashion variety. I really hope they make some good boots someday because there are a lot of us out there that really need them.

I purchased these shoes in black 2 years ago. I had previously purchased the Tide sandal in gold and love them! Unfortunately, these shoes feel very wide regardless of how you adjust the strap. I still wear them ocassionally, but cannot wear them if I plan on walking any distance as the fit is just too loose.

They are comfortable, but run large. I wish they came in half sizes then I think mine would be more comfortable.

I love this shoe except the sole is coming loose from the shoe and I have to return it. Tripping hazard.

These are quite comfortable but do take time to get used to. They seem to run wide and I have trouble keeping them on. A strap on the heel would make them better.

While the bottoms of these shoes provide great support and fit very well, the tops of these shoes are made of a very hard, inflexible material that rubs against the tops of my bunions whenever I wear them without socks. Because of the Mary Jane heel-less style, wearing socks looks kind of weird. I'll keep them to wear with socks and pants in the winter.

These Melissa mules fit well and have a wonderfully comfortable sole which was supportive of my high arches. Unfortunately the curve on the top of the shoes rubbed blisters on the top of my foot. So, I can not wear this style but have ordered another pair of Orthaheels in a different style because the sole is so comfortable.

These are extremely comfortable and surprising stylish! However, less than 60 days after owning/wearing them (I would say regular/moderate use over that time) the sole is pulling away along the toe, on both shoes! In my opinion, this is unacceptable quality. I have contacted both Zappos and Orthaheel to see if they offer a quality guarantee. If not, I will not purchase again, due to the low quality. But, oh man, these are way comfortable!

I am very disappoint with this one! I really love the appear of sandals itself not for SIZE! I ordered size 5 and ended up half larger than regular size 5. I return it back today. Too bad.. I think I will going order Keen instead of this one. I am very fussy with size 5.

I'm reversing my positive review of Orthaheel. Having custom orthotics made this week. I will say that they did help me enormously while I had a terrible flare up of PF, but lately I have had to return a few pairs and I can't find enough variety in the styles to warrant continuing to buy them. I stand by the Tide style. Arch support is excellent. But they aren't much help in the winter. I have been reluctant to buy anything new because, except for color, there isn't anything new. The Mule is a disaster. If you didn't have trouble with your feet, would you be buying Orthaheels?? People with foot issues don't need backless shoes. Another thing I've noticed is that these shoes are not holding up well. I have worn Orthaheel's almost exclusively over the last two years. And I have a lot of them, so when a shoe shows signs of falling apart a year later. They aren't cheap. They should hold up longer than a year with proper care. Anyway, hoping that the custom orthotics allow me to move into other shoes. Orthaheel has not maintained the standards I began wearing them for.

I wouldn't recommend this shoe. I found it mostly comfortable, although the sole is rather hard, and I like the appearance of it however the straps are poorly made. The material that holds the strap to the shoe has a major fault and unravels until the shoe is unwearable. I thought it might just be the pair I got but I got them replaced for another pair and had the same issue. If you do get them, I would recommend going down 1/2 size if you are normally a half size.

Kind of having buyers remorse with this purchase. Wanted something to do lots of walking in that would keep my flat feet from killing me. Wore them around and to work before my trip and decided to NOT take them on my trip. Struggled to keep them on and the arch is actually a little to high and causes the top of my foot to hurt. Will keep trying to wear them but really a little sad they are not more comfy. :(

I am 23 years old, work full time on a hospital floor where I'm walking all day. I have high arches that now collapse when I walk and I overpronate severely. I figured these shoes were my only hope for moderately okay-looking shoes that would provide the arch support I need. Again, I'm 23 - I can't help but want something slightly cute to go with my nice work clothes. My friend's best compliment for these shoes was "Those are actually pretty cute for ugly shoes." Unlike many people who seem surprised that there's an arch in this, I am underwhelmed by this arch. It's cool, it's better than my cute flats, but nowhere near what I need. I am in less pain but by no means am I without foot pain. If you have plantar fasciitis without severe overpronating, maybe these will work for you. Unfortunately, after test driving them around the house, I tested these out at work, so I'm stuck with these old lady shoes (genuine compliments have come only from women over 60).

I ordered these hoping they would be of good quality and have good arch support (have plantar fasciitis) - they are so cute. The upper material feels cheap (should be leather for that price, but I knew it wasn't when I ordered). The shoes just felt flimsy - the sole wasn't stiff enough - it tended to roll. They seemed comfortable when I wore them around the house. I hope Orthaheel will make a better quality shoe - the footbed felt really comfortable and supportive other than being too flexible.

Was surprised on how these shoes fit, hardly any arch support, very wide and felt flimsy on. Was really hoping for a good supportive shoe as I stand for long periods of time. Unfortunately this was not the one.

Cute style but my feet sweat in these. That is very unpleasant. My feet do not sweat in any other of brand of shoe (Danskos, Uggs, Asics) plus I live in Alaska so it is not even hot! They are just made to be unbreathable. They are cute and comfortable but not worth the stinky! I will not be buying these again.
