I bought the Orthaheel Melissa because my heel was killing me and I am on my feet a lot during the day. I see why the instructions tell you to gradually wear them for a few hours at a time. My legs were so tired after wearing them for nine hours. But I have to say, my heels do not hurt at all! I cannot believe a shoe would make such a huge difference for someone with plantar fasciitis but my heels feel a whole lot better after only one day. Bless you, Orthaheel. They are semi-cute; I felt a little clunky in them but I guess I would rather be pain-free. And, as always, Zappos rocks in customer service. I ordered them Sunday and had them Tuesday.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, so need support to help my feet & my posture. Orthaheel is fantastic. I wish they did wide sizes, but this shoe works well. Not gorgeous, but comfortable for my whole body.

I like the color, they are well made. I get compliments on them. I wear a thin sock with them, though sometimes feel like my foot slides around. Also, I do not find it to be a lot of arch support. My sister with a shoe size two sizes smaller put them on and said "These have a lot of support." There is less sole/cushion in the front, a bit more in the heel.

When you first put the shoe on it feels odd because of the high arch but after about 3 to 4 days it feel really good. The only problem is the strap has cut into the top of my foot. I put mole skin on the inside of the strap and all is good.

I'm new to this brand, but overall, a thumbs up. I have narrow feet, so shoes are a challenge. At a medium width, they are a little wide in the box, but the strap adjusts to help my keep them on my feet. The comfort and support is great. The style is good. I can wear to work with slacks or to a casual event with jeans, etc. They seem nicely made and the faux leather is a nice quality. I had assumed they were actual leather when I ordered, but they are all man-made materials. I am wearing them with socks and so far no rubbing or blisters. (For me, this is rare with faux leather, so I give them a thumbs-up for a very leather-like material.) Rubber sole is nice -- lightweight shoe with good grip-ability and support.

Love the shoe but unfortunately this style seems to run smaller than the other Orthaheel. Also the color is not quite as nice as in the photo. Will be replacing with the chocolate in a larger size.

Expensive for vinyl. It needs more cushion for comfort, but overall, good supportive shoe. I wore them all summer, but can't walk that much, as then I need a closed shoe.

These shoes are very cute, and they have a very comfortable footbed, but I still ended up returning them. I'm afraid the not-real-leather will scuff very easily, and the shoes will not look nice for very long. The top edge rubbed on the knuckle of my big toe, even though they were comfortable everywhere else. I wore Orthaheel sandals all summer and loved them, and was really hoping these would be my fall shoe. I wish wish wish they came in real leather, I plan on trying some of the Dr. Weil for Orthaheel shoes to see how they work. Orthaheel shoes have been a lifesaver since I developed plantar fasciitis.

Cute and comfortable. I love the Orthaheel sandals and own several pairs. These mules run slightly smaller than the sandals, but not enough for me to go up a size. More comfortable than tennis shoes, excellent arch support.

These shoes are oddly cute, the area above the arch is the odd looking part, it helps to not let the arch 'bow' out. Between the odd design & odd fit, I might be returning them soon. The toe area is wide and for me the arch of a size 8 is short, making them uncomfortable where my arch sits. Was hoping they'd be great...maybe for you they will.

Color was a little too purple for me. Shoe was also a little wide but may have worked with socks.

I wore these around the house off and on to see if I liked them - only reason I would return them was the quality of the uppers (leather would be nice, even if a bit more expensive). Then on Sunday I had occasion to be on my feet, walking on cement floors for over 8 hours so decided to keep them and oh my gosh am I glad I did. Instead of throbbing ankles and aching body when I got home, I felt better than ever after a long day. Now I'm deciding what other pair(s) to buy!

Not as red as they appeared in the picture. More of a plumish/burgundy. Fits well. However, it's not leather.

These shoes have excellent arch support. I have flat feet and it took me a month to get used to shoes like these but now I won't go back to shoes without arch support. I want to encourage anyone with flat feet not to give up on shoes with arch supports. You won't be sorry. Just start out wearing them for brief periods of time. She shoes don't need breaking in, your feet do and your joints will thank you for it. :-) The reason I didn't give the shoes 5 stars for comfort is because there is no cushion in the toe area but still a great shoe. I just ordered the Orthaheel Gemma Slippers this morning.

I was very happy with the amount of arch support because I have high arches. When walking quickly, the shoe does not feel snug. It feels as though the shoe will come off, even though it won't. My toes inadvertently grip to keep the shoe in place. Walking slowly is ok. So, if you like to walk quickly and feel comfortable doing it, I do not recommend the shoe. The quality of the top part of the shoe is questionable. After only a week of wearing it, there was noticeable wear.

These are very comfortable and stylish, They take a little while to get used to if you haven't worn shoes with good arches. If you wear them barefoot, they also make your feet sweat a little due to the material.

For some reason these are a tad too wide for me. If I'd gone down one size, might have been better on the width, but would have been too short(?). Could be just a quirk of this particular shoe on my foot. Not a bad shoe or anything. Just a little loose/wide.

The toe box and arch support were great. Fit my bunion well and really felt good on my Plantar Fascitiis when I tried them on at home. The problem is with the part that goes across the top of the foot. Not the strap, that was fine too, but north of the strap, south of the flowers. I guess my foot is too tall or something, but it felt really tight. Maybe it would have broken in over time, although since these are not leather I'm not sure how. Also I need to wear socks in the winter and socks plus already tightness was just too much. With a heavy heart I am sending these back.

I wear orthotics and have tried Orthaheel sandals. They have allowed me to wear sandals again. Wanted to try these mules since they were so cute. However, could not keep them on my feet. Even adjusted the strap, but shoe was still too wide and would not stay on my foot when I walked. And I have wide feet! Had to send these back, even though they are so cute.

Comfortable, good arch support. Somewhat fragile: I hit a small curb and the front of the shoe had to be glued back on.

Only women's Orthaheel suitable for wearing to the office. Still can't get used to the newer footbed. I wish all Orthaheels felt like my Orthaheel leopard slippers - and had fabric on the sole too.

These shoes run large. I bought one for me and one for my daughter who is a size smaller. I ended up keeper her pair.

Very cute shoe. I really wanted this shoe to fit but the shape of the insole does not match my foot at all. Horribly uncomfortable.

Really cute shoe but the shape of the insole and position of the arch made them instantly uncomfortable. Rats! Tried another size hoping that would work but no luck.
