Orthaheel is the only shoe I can wear due to both the excellent arch and heel cup combined with the sole cushioning. However, with the Melissa and some others (the Porto, Cambia, Barlett) they have changed the sole cushioning which destroys the ergonomics of the shoe regarding support and alignment. Orthaheel does not describe these changes to the basic model. This causes customers to buy and then return. It aggravates customers and vendors and could be prevented by truth in the blurbs. It makes Orthaheel shoe styles undependable. When Orthaheel has inserts as they do in most winter new shoes like the Barlett, Mary Jane and Cambria plus the orthotics and ugly Walker, the inserts are not the same strong support as the built-in footbeds of the Tide, Kiwi and Holly. Additionally, when cushioning is subtracted subtly from the sole, the entire premise of the shoe is destroyed for those of us dependent on the original design - both sole and footbed combined. I also had to return the Barlett and Cambria for those reasons plus inadequate sole cushioning. I have not been able to buy and keep any of the new fall/winter shoes for these reasons. The last best shoe for me was the Holly (I have 3 pairs) and before that the Tarragon Mule (2 pairs and wish I had more). The Porto was a changed (but again not described) sole cushion and caused me pain (recovery took a week) after wearing it for about 2 hours. It looked the same as the others like the Holly but was not (only half the sole cushioning). The best Mule they had was called Tarragon last winter with great cushioning and hold on the original footbed. I hope they bring it back. This Mule was nothing like it in fit or proper Orthaheel alignment support. If they continue in these changed directions, I may no longer be able to buy any shoes. Please, Orthaheel, don't mess with success. It's fine to have a few described different models but please keep the original for those of us who need just that.

First, Orthaheel altered my life. I had constant foot pain from PF and nothing worked. I tried their flip flops and almost returned them because I felt like I was overcorrecting. Glad I didn't return them, because once I got used to them (quickly), they felt amazing. Foot pain? Gone. So I began ordering real shoes for work etc. Choices are so limited. Why? Got the mules; not a fan of the mule, but they work. Not as well as the waves, but better than other shoes. So I got the mary janes and I like them a lot. I live in the NE, so a back to winter shoes is important. I'm beginning to wonder if the arch support on enclosed shoes has something to do with design. Because there's a huge difference between arch in waves and arch in enclosed shoes. I also ordered the Bartlett - 2 sizes - and returned both. I don't have a particularly fat foot, but I could not get the "adjustable" strap to move. Off my foot, it glided. On my foot, just didn't move. Shame, because other than that, I really liked them. Wondered w/that if the arch was so high, that they should have made the strap longer to accommodate. So I have issues with Orthaheel, which I hope the company will address. They've tapped into a much needed product that clearly many of us have been hunting and praying for for years. Just a few improvements - and a few more style choices - and my whole closet will be Orthaheel'd! Love Zappos. Keep up the good work - and attitude. A pleasure to do business with.

Description says 'soft padded' jersey liner but there's nothing padded about them. The footbed is hard so I placed insoles in these shoes for my comfort and now I thoroughly enjoy them.

This is my first pair of Orthaheels. I was looking for something supportive with a closed toe to wear through the fall and winter (indoors and out). I'm very pleased with the support for my flat feet. It took a day for me to get used to the higher arch support, but now they're very comfortable. Though they are a medium width, they fit a bit loosely, but the strap adjustment helped that. However, if you need to tighten the straps up to the shortest length, the end of the strap will be dragging on the floor due to the low placement of the buckle. The style is cute and I like the embossed floral details. I hope they are durable, because I will be wearing them a lot.

This is a tremendously comfortable shoe with great arch support. Good for flat feet or plantar fasciitis as well as normal folks. Unlike the sandals, this is true to size.

This summer I was able to wear nice sandals and flip flops for the first time in two years since I developed plantar fasciitis. I was able to wear the size 7 but I would have liked a 7 1/2. I really wish there were more choices of fall/winter shoes, mules are not my first choice of a winter shoe. I really need these Melissa mules in a half size larger. I wish the company would make all their shoes in half sizes.

Oh my goodness, I am so glad that Zappos exists! I have had the most positive experiences time after time. Since shoes vary in their sizing, I ordered the wrong size. I called immediately and voila...the correct size was there in no time. Unbelievable. Zappos employees must be very happy at their job because they are the nicest people to deal with. I am 65 years old and I remember 'good old fashioned customer service'. Zappos has adhered to this policy from the onset. Bravo. By the way, I love the shoes I ordered. I have hammer toes and other foot problems and these shoes have saved the day.

I have severe plantar fasciitis. A co-worker recommended Orthaheel shoes & slippers as they "cured" her! I ordered the Melissa Mule with reservations. I have bunions and the mule doesn't come in a wide width. I also vary between a size 8 and 8.5. I felt with free returns, I could take the chance. At the same time I ordered Gemma slippers. Wow! Am I glad I took my co-worker's advice. I wore the slippers around the house in the evenings for about 4 days before I ventured to the shoes. What a difference Orthaheels has made in my foot pain! With the size 8 Melissa Mule, the toe box is large enough that they are comfortable without needing a wide width. There's also some elastic give with the strap. My foot pain has improved so much. Now Orthaheel, please design a closed in shoe as cute as the Melissa Mule.

I have severe plantar fasciitis and this is the only shoe I can wear to work. The sandals in the summer were also great. If you wear 7 1/2, buy a 7. I have a wide foot and these are fine. I do wish they would have a few prettier style with the same great feel.

Cute as can be but the support and fit just didn't work for me the way the sandals do - too bad. Too narrow in the front to accommodate my bunion.

A bit disappointed in this one. I have 4 pairs of Orthaheels sandals and a pair of sneakers, all of which I love. This style just isn't as comfortable for me. It's a bit tight across at the ball of my foot and the sole seems very hard -- no cushion. I wear them because I think they're adorable, but I make sure I won't have to do a lot walking.

Although these are ortho shoes, they are really cute! They are truly comfortable. I wish that they had more stylish looks. I have the rolling foot just like in the Orthaheel video & they really did correct my instep. They can use my feet in their commercial! I have a painful time when I am on my feet for a few hours, but with these Orthaheels I can be on my feet all day and that is saying a lot for me! They do feel a bit wide but that is fine because I plan on wearing them in cooler weather with socks. I was told to get a size smaller because they run big. I wear a 7½ in all my shoes so I got these in a size 7. They were right. I had no problems! I am not one to go around bare footed so I cannot wait to get the house slippers.

This shoe is a bit wide for my foot, but the strap can be tightened to hold my foot securely. The arch support is improving my plantar faciitis. I have no heel pain after wearing these consistently. Orthoheel is a great brand for those with foot and arch support problems.

I am a huge fan of Orthaheel Tide and was excited to see this mule. I love the Color and comfort. I wear size 8 and with Orthaheel I have to wear 7 and can only use those with open toe and/or heel, but that is why these work for me. Along with a great Chiropractor Orthaheel has helped me completely correct my knee problems.

This is the second pair of Orthaheel shoes I have ordered from Zappos. These are so comfortable and fit really well. I would love to be able to get them in half sizes. Zappos were very helpful over the phone and I was amazed at how quickly I received my shoes. I will definitely be ordering more Orthaheel shoes from Zappos.

I loved this shoe. I always have problems with the toes of a shoe being too tight, but these are great. I have had many women come up and ask where I got such cute shoes. Of course I said, Zappos!

I have had plantar fasciitis for over 10 years and I have to be ultra careful with the shoes I wear. Up until I found this shoe, I had to wear only FitFlops which is not great in the winter! I was skeptical about Orthaheel, but liked the 30 day guarantee. It felt like a safe try. I love them! It took me several days to get used to the arch support being so firm (which usually doesn't phase me). It's a different feel. However, fter nearly a month of wearing them I loved them.

I ordered one size larger than I usually wear and it was just right. These are really comfortable and the strap allows me to wear socks during cold weather. These shoes have support that is as good as my expensive orthotics. I wish there were more styles and colors!

I am a firm believer of the Othoheel shoe and have almost every type. They are not the best styling shoe but have prevented my Plantar Fascitis coming back. I highly recommend them as the best shoe on he market.

I ordered these a couple of months ago and wind up wearing them all of the time because of the extra support. They go to work, out walking on warm clear days and are slippers at night. If you need extra arch support these are great shoes.

One of the few shoes I've been able to wear that helps my plantar fasciitis and doesn't put undue pressure on the ball of my foot. Downsides: they scuff very easily and are not exactly high fashion. But they get the job done if your foot is in pain.

I love these shoes! I already own the Orthaheel flip flops, and needed something for winter. These are the most comfortable shoes! Exactly what I expected and I have received many compliments. These shoes have saved my feet!
