These are very comfortable and attractive boots. I've been looking for a long time for boots that are lightweight and flexible, with enough room in the toe box for my poor toes. I have bunions that are painful in most shoes, and I can wear these boots all day!

Fits like a glove, which I haven't decided if I like or not. The leather feels like a good quality, but doesn't have much lining so it feels a bit thin. This isn't necessarily a negative, this boot just has a more sleek feel. Definitely not a clunker! I ordered 7 pair to try on and these Riekers are the pair that I am keeping, at least for a while to try around the house and make the final decision. The sole feels this also so I hope it has enough support for me. I usually like a bit more padding. We'll see! Very cute and stylish boot though!

Nice boot! But runs both narrow and small. I wear a US size 8 B, ordered a size 39. Did not fit even with nylons, no socks. At least a size smaller than marked. If you are any more than a B width I would take a pass. Still a good quality boot. Perfect for a gal with narrow feet and calves.

Okay these are great! Perfect height, nice dark grey color. I have athletic calves and usually have to buy wide calf which are too wide. These were snug but after a few wears perfect! Great over skinny jeans and with skirts. Super flexible foot bed and nice traction in snowy NJ. Nice heel height, higher than a flat riding boot but not too high. Love them!

I bought these boots almost a year ago, and I can't wait for the cold weather to return...so I can wear them again! They're comfortable, lightweight for a boot, pretty leather, and accommodate my high arch.

Okay, so I ordered a 8.5 M and the calf circumference is not 14" as marked but 16". These boots are so comfortable but my narrow calves swim in them. Sadly, they are going back.

These boots are incredibly comfortable and look great. I'm always getting compliments. The brown goes well with so many things. So happy I finally found the perfect brown boot after a long search!

After much debate, I am returning these boots. I really like the style, but they are too loose for me. They are very loose around my calf and too bulky at the ankles. Too bad because I really wanted to keep them.

I bought these to wear for work, I am a flight attendant and I don't wear shoes no matter how cute unless they are comfortable. Wore them straight out of the box for 3 days they are GREAT. I had some long days with no tiered feet. Also, I have very narrow calves (12 inches)and am wearing these with a dress, they look good. Just a bit of space around the top but it looks natural not like I am standing in a bucket. I wear an 8.5 to 9 and I ordered euro 40 it fits well with a light sock. Might order a size up if you want to wear heavy socks. The toe area is rounded and comfortable but snug and I have a pretty normal width foot but tending to narrow.

Over the years I have purchased three pairs of Rieker ankle boots. This was my first taller boot purchase of Riekers and they are as comfortable as my ankle boots. No breaking in period for me with Riekers, they feel like old favorites right out of the box. Classy style with nice heel height and non slip sole. I have slim calves and have room to spare at the top of the boot but they still look good. With the elastic inset at the top of the boot I think they would work for various calf sizes. I'm a Rieker fan!

This boot is incredibly comfortable and really nice looking. Me old buniony feet are very particular and they liked this boot from the moment I put it on. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The leather on these boots is nice and supple, and the heel/arch support is very comfortable. I normally wear a U.S. size 7.5-8 and have a 14.5 inch calf I ordered a 39 and with a regular cotton sock they fit perfectly. I could also zip them up wearing skinny jeans. Bulky winter socks or wider jeans might be a problem. For me, these are a definite keeper!

These boots are so comfortable. They are a nice quality and look great with skirts. I would definately recommend them. I tried them on in the store comparing them with others and these were the best fit and comfort.

These are good boots for my feet. I have Hallux Rigidus is one foot and cannot wear narrow toed shoes. Round toe works best. I wear a 9-9-1/2 shoe and ordered a size 41. They fit perfect. I was able to slide my orthotic insert into the boots (the insole is not removable). I am a flight attendant and work 8-10 days and these work just fine for me. The leather is soft. The heel is not too high or too low. Be aware that the leg is not snug on slender legs. But it's not overly wide either. The only issues I have is that the zipper pull sticks out occasionally and I have to work with it to get it to lay flat. I would buy again.

Beautiful and comfortable, but no arch support and fairly thin sole. Would have liked to have it available in a taller shaft, to wear over pants or with dresses. Get a half size larger if you plan to add your own arch support.

I think this is a pretty great boot. I have really wide feet with painful bunions (having removal surgery in January) and these are comfortable boots. The leather looks nice (doesn't look cheap) and the style is very versatile. My only complaint is that I was hoping the "smoke" color would be more of a gray shade...it is more brown. Still lovely, but not exactly what I was going for. However, due to the comfort of these boots, I kept them and wear them regularly.

So so comfortable and attractive. At 57 I want and demand comfort and quality, and Rieker always delivers. If you have a very wide calf you probably want to look elsewhere. I am 5'6" 145#, and these fit my calves wonderfully.

Finally I found a pair of boots that work! I ordered 8 pairs of boots and was ready to give up before I tried these on. I have very sensitive feet and legs and can't have any pressure on them. I was looking for a comfy pair that I can wear over narrow leg pants. The minute I put them on they were just right. It did not take any break-in time and they have a really nice look. Thank you Zappos for allowing me to try so many shoes in the comfort of my home.

This was not only my first pair of Rieker boots, it was also my first pair of riding boots, and let me tell you, these made me wish I had been wearing boots for my entire life. I wear a 7w, or a 7 1/2m when a wide width is unavailable. I ordered a 38 in this boot and it is a perfect fit. These really do fit like a glove. I love the lining in these boots. It's nice and thin so I don't get overly warm with them on indoors. These have great support and they have great soles for traction when walking outdoors, which is important up here in the winter time. If you're on the fence about these boots, just give them a try!

Shaft height is 14" not 15" in a size 40. Too short for my needs so am returning. Also, the leather is crunchy thin, very pliable, but feels more suited for gloves than boots.

Extremely comfortable the minute I put them on. Well made, but lightweight so it's easy to walk in them all day. I have average size calfs and they fit perfectly with just enough room for comfort.

Love them! 3rd pair of Rieker shoes. These boots are soft in the foot bed right out of box. The heel is just the right height for me. They feel great, they are warn, but my feet are always child, so that works for me. Needs a bit more arch support, but this seems to be try of all 3 pairs of Riekers I own. It's not a problem for me, but if you need arch support, could be an issue.

I was looking for a boot to look great with leggings and started under the category comfortable. Well not only are these boots stylish, they are the most comfortable I have ever owned. I am between a size 9 and 9 1/2 and chose the 9 1/2 to leave more room for thicker socks. There is an elastic gusset at the top and though they are a little tight around my calf it didn't effect their overall wearability. I love see boots and will be wearing them into next spring here in NC and on my trips back to NY.

I have two pair of the Rieker short boot in a size 38 so was very hopeful that this tall boot would work. The great thing is that it wasn't too wide in the calf like almost all other boots I have tried. Unfortunately, the size 38 was too tight in the foot. I even tried ordering the same exact size hoping another pair would be less snug (it worked for one of the short boots I ordered twice)... No such luck...the second pair was even tighter around the foot. The black isn't available in size 39 right now but I may try the brown even though I really wanted a black pair. The short boots are perfect even though I have bunions. I was so hoping I could add the tall boot...great style, soft leather, short heel. Maybe someone will return a black size 39.
