These boots are a fantastic reinterpretation of the classic 1940s Gene Autry bluebird boots, in a much more wearable color than the original wild yellow and bright blue. The delicate hearts and scallops give the design an almost Alpine look. Note that the boots have an overall layer of antiquing applied, so the inlays are much more muted than as shown in the photo, and look more like shades of brown. My biggest issue with these boots is the finish--I must first point out that I didn't buy these from Zappos and instead found them at a deep discount from another retailer, so my pair could very well be factory seconds. But, the very first time I wore them, lots of the finish rubbed off the boots (even just where the cuff of my jeans was touching them), exposing the bare leather underneath. This may have been an attempt to give the leather a more authentic distressed look. But, after just a couple of hours on my feet, they had more wear on them than any of my 60 and 70-year-old vintage boots. The weathering looks nice; the boots now look like they've seen their share of rodeos. But I prefer to wear out my boots the old-fashioned way. I put a couple of heavy coats of Bee Natural distressed leather conditioner on them, and it's slowed down (but not stopped altogether) the accelerated aging. If you don't buy from a retailer with easy returns like Zappos, be cautious about these if you like your boots in pristine condition. Finally, my foot is on the long and narrow side, and I would have been better off with a half-size smaller.

Magnificent! Comfy right out of the box. Accommodates moderately wide calves (11 inch shaft helps, since it's shorter than the 13 inches that other "dressy" boots have). I wear an 8.5 wide, and a 9m was perfect. Note: I wear hand knit socks with them, so your mileage may vary. Plenty of room in the toe box. Elegant looking, too.

The boots are pretty but they are darker brown than they appear online and the blue, green and red in the flowers and bluebird inlays is so subtle that it's almost not noticeable. The inlays don't stand out at all and just sort of blend in with the brown. That said, they are still pretty boots and the fit is good. If you're looking for a fancy boot, I'd look somewhere else. But if you want a basic, pretty boot that will go with just about anything, these will work. They also have more of a distressed look to them than is apparent in the photos.

These are the most gorgeous boots I have ever seen in my life. I never even wanted a pair of cowgirl boots until I saw these. Really subtle colors, beautiful styling and craftsmanship. I did have to go from a 9 to a 9 1/2 because my ridiculously high-instepped feet wouldn't go down through the boot throat, but once I was down in the shoe part they were fine, and probably better to have a bit of extra toe room. The fit is totally comfortable, and once I got used to the heel I was walking around like I owned Texas. Now I'm hooked on cowgirl boots: I've already bought two more pairs, and am eyeing a few more. Preposterously addictive.

First off, Zappos.com are the nicest people to work with! Got my boots here pronto! Now, the boots...I love them! Perfect fit (with a pair of socks on); comfortable right out of the box - nice soft leather; and they are gorgeous! They look just like the picture...& like I've been riding a while in them, which is just fine with me ('cause I'm a city girl). Think I might sleep in 'em tonight!

I absolutely love these boots, bought them elsewhere for less, but they appear to be authentic since I tried them on in a western store. I have worn 7 in most regular shoes for years, I got 6½ in these based on reviews that I saw on Zappos and other places. They stretched out a little and are perfect now. My daughter has the similar kid style and loves them, wears them to school and to ride horses.

I love these boots so much! I was on a road trip and stopped at a western store, and fell in love with them. They didn't have my size, so I ordered them from Zappos. They were waiting on my porch when I got home! Love it!

I ordered these 1/2 size smaller than my actual size and they fit perfect — I’m glad I paid heed to the other reviewers who said to buy 1/2 size down. They are comfortable right out of the box with no issues whatsoever. With regard to arch support, I have flat feet and I feel like I get good support for my arches but it’s not excessive the way “orthaheel” products feel like a pile of molded sand under the foot. I like the heel height and more specifically the location of the heel. Some boots have a heel that’s both behind and under the heel (which is always a deal breaker for me) but these boots have it under the heel in a perfect location. I’m 5’ tall and the boot shaft is a normal height for me. If you are taller they would probably be slightly short but still very stylish. They look great with skinny jeans tucked in. The light colored toe is A LOT lighter in person which is disappointing but not a deal breaker. My only real concern is after wearing them a few tiles the leather cut outs aren’t as crisp - sort of the way fabric gets a frayed edge. I’m hoping this doesn’t become a problem.

A lot of people remarked how this boot is big. I will say that in measurements, it may be a centimeter longer than some boots. This one has a 1 3/4 heel which is so very comfortable but the foot widens a bit at that angle. So the roominess is warranted. I wear a size 9 and I always get a 1/2 size up for pointed toes. I did the same for this one and I wouldn’t want it any smaller. It is a beautiful boot, well made and should last for years. The color shows “copper” which translates as yellow in full light. The goat leather is finer than cow leather and it is very soft.

Love these boots. The finish is distressed. I wanted the colors to be richer so I've polished them with neutral polish. They're perfect now. Likely last for years. A

The boots are really cute and are very soft and comfortable. The first time I wore them it was like walking in a pair of walking shoes. I just wish there was more information on how to clean and protect them. I was hesitant to spray them with leather protectant.

I have very large calves and these had no problem fitting with my skinny jeans tucked inside. The height being only 11 inches helps so much. I get compliments on them all of the time. Comfy right out of the box, not really any break in time.

These are chicly styled western boots that go with all kinds of jeans or skirts/dresses. The colors go with many items. I wore them out of the box all day and had a small adjustment period. The fit is great too. Order your normal size. I made a mistake and ordered up the first time and thanks to Zappos, returned them quickly for my normal size of 7. If you are looking for western boots that will go with many things and get you compliments, these are them!

This was my first time using Zappos. I stumbled across it while searching for a pair of Dan Post boots that I was in love with, and that were sold out everywhere I called. I was calling all western stores in Texas, OK, etc. there was a 2 month back order. Just for fun, I checked with Zappos. They had the boots, and in my size. I couldn't believe it. They arrived very fast, I think a day before they were projected to arrive, and I live down in Key West. They are gorgeous boots, and the price was very competitive and in some cases, cheaper, than some of the western stores I called. Also, when I called Zappos, the woman was very helpful and efficient. I don't normally take the time to write reviews, I am doing so because I was very impressed. Thank you Zappos! I will be using you again. Also, I thought the boots were slightly big, but not when tried on with socks. They are beautiful boots. This is my first pair of cow girl boots.

First, kudos to Zappos! I ordered these boots on a Saturday afternoon and they arrived on my doorstep on Monday morning. L O V E Zappos! Now for the boots, out of the box, these are beautiful. A very, very dark brown with muted color in the inlays (as described in other reviews). The leather isn't as soft as I'd hoped for, but I think with wear (and some beeswax), they'll soften up. Typically, I'm a size 7.5 and I have a wide foot, but I ordered these in a 7 and they fit perfectly. The inside of the boot feels like a comfy cushion around my foot and these are definitely more comfortable than a lot of other boots I have, including my Fryes. I have a high arch and some boots are tight over the top of my foot, but these feel great on my feet. I highly recommend these beautiful boots!

Recently purchased these boots. Love the detailing and pics look pretty true to color. I ordered a half size larger than I typically wear because I usually wear a thicker sock with boots. Fit was great; wore several hours on first time and no problems. Style works well too as I have wider than average calves. Zappos very efficient, as usual.

These are the most beautiful boots ever; a work of art, but just too big for me. Grab them if you can!

Love these boots, extremely comfortable right out of the box. The design is beautiful. The multiple muted colors in this boot complement much of my wardrobe. Note, the video clip on Zappos website is not this same boot, it is same design, but different colors. The still pictures on the site are of this boot. I almost didn't order thoses boots until I saw an answered question specifically questioning the boots in the video. These are Great Kicks!

Wore them 9 hours straight out of the box and they were extremely comfortable and really cute!

Beautifully made and fun to wear! True to size

This beautiful “cow-boho” boots are so pretty and funky I posed them on a shelf just to look at them. Then I made about ten outfits they’ll look great with, because they’re so ornamental and stylish. I was worries they’d pinch my toes or the ball of my foot, as they looked so tiny and delicate in the bottom, but from the moment I slipped my feet into them they were utterly comfortable! The hard leather foot shape supports my feet completely. First time I wore them was to an all-afternoon/evening event, with thin cotton running socks, and they remained comfortable the entire time. I didn’t even take them off when I got home. I can hardly wait to wear them again.

These boots are stunning. They already have a worn in look and they smell amazing...lol....I will have them treated as people suggest on other feedback remarks and I do think the bottoms are slick before really wearing them out but that shouldn't be a problem at all....I am in love with these boots!

Oh my Wedding Boots - how I love Thee! Looked Lovely with my corset styled wedding dress for our country themed wedding, and despite torrential rain, these boots kept me dry and dancing all day (and not a single blister). No break-in time needed - we were best friends out of the box. Now we pair up with jeans, leggings, and dresses. Sizing (7.5 M) is True.
