OMG! These boots are beautiful. The colors are subdued and that's perfect because they will go with everything. I have a VERY high arch and consistently have problems getting my foot into any type of boot with a shaft, but not with these I'm thrilled to say. I ordered my usual size 6.5 but these boots feel much larger and so I'd recommend sizing at least a half size down. I will wear thick socks with mine as a smaller size is not available now and I need them for vacation. Maybe I'll wear them around the house for a day before deciding what to do.

I oredered these gorgeous boots on the strength of some reviews suggesting they accommodate a wide calf. Those ladies are either taller than I (I'm 5'0", boots are 6M) or their calves are thinner than mine. I had no problem getting them on with moderately thick socks & the foot fit is perfect and very comfortable. The leather is soft, the inset detailing is subtle and lovely. There is no bunching in the shaft; however, my calf bulges most unattractively above the top rear of the boot. I suspect this defect is on me & not the boots. I plan to wear them around the house a few hours/day to see if that helps the tops to relax a bit; otherwise, to my great disappointment (but with gratitude for Zappo's generous return policy) they will have to go back. A word about the post-delivery Zappos emails inquiring about fit: It's relatively easy to provide this abbreviated feedback if you are talking about shoes, but for boots, there is no way to respond accurately given only 3 choices (too big, too small, perfect), as there are too many "fit" variables.

Really love these. Wonderful. Ordered my size 6.5, but am exchanging for a 6 (never have this problem). Hope this does the trick!

These boots are gorgeous and I am so sad I cannot keep them. I normally wear a 6.5 in most shoes. Because of the reviews, I ordered a size 6, and it is still way too big. Unfortunately, they do not have a size 5.5. When you order, I would order a while size down.

The size runs big. I usually wear a 9 1/2-10 in boots; however, they only had a size 9 so I ordered it and it is too big. Could probably go with a 8 1/2.
