I love these shoes. So much that I'm taking the time to write my first Zappos review. They combine my favorite two shoes. They are super light and flexible (like my last two pairs of Nike Free Runs) and warm / water resistant (like my old Solomon XA PRO 3D ULTRA GoreTex). Great at work or for a quick run. As long as Nike keeps making these in fashionable colors, I'll keep buying these forever. The yellow/gray/black ones look better in person than online (I've gotten several compliments).

These are great shoes. I do a lot of plyo workouts, and these shoes are great! Jumping, running, whatever my feet feel great afterwards.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. They have pretty good arch support and ankle support. I would definitely recommend these shoes!

"Winter Version" of the Nike Free fit the bill for me on a winter trip to Belgium and Holland. Stiffer than the basic Nike Free, it was just as comfortable walking all over the towns and cities on the cobbles as my black Frees were in Rome in the fall. Temps in the low 40s didn't bother my feet as temps in the high 50's makes my feet cold in the regular Nike Frees. These do the job as promised!

I bought this shoe for crossfit. It has been a great shoe for me. It is very lightweight, lighter than most running shoes. It almost feels like a sock with a sole! It doesn't have very much arch support but it works great for what it was intended for.

I normally will buy New Balance due to their willingness to provide a variety of widths. I prefer a wide toe box. But, NB does not manufacture a true winter running shoe. So, I wanted to give the Nike a try. I've always found Nike's to run either true to width or on the narrow side. I found the TR2 to be extremely narrow along it's entire width. The toe box felt more like a pair of shoes than runners; They may have stretched a bit over time. What really killed it for me was that the middle of the shoe was so narrow that loosening the laces full on did not eliminate pressure on my mid-foot. Sent them back to Zappos, immediately! Style over substance seems to be alive and well at Nike. Disappointed, once again.

Three runners at our house, we all used the TR2 Winter this year and it worked out great for all of us. Finally able to run in the slush or freezing temps or cold rain or anything winter gave us without freezing our feet. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable sneakers. They keep my feet warm outside in freezing temperatures. Reports of small fitting sizes are true. I wear a size 10, I ordered a size 11 after reading the reviews, and they fit perfectly. However, you may not need to go a whole one size over. In addition, they look absolutely incredible after 4 months of running!

I have been running in Saucony Kinvara and needed a similar shoe for the winter. This shoe seems like the natural choice and it is great. I have been running in snow and through puddles and my feet stayed perfectly dry. They are also much warmer than the Kinvara. The other main difference is that the Kinvara has a 4mm heel-to-toe drop and this has 0mm. Both are considered minimal / neutral shoes.

I've never worn Nikes but was looking for a good winter running shoe. The problem I have is with breathable shoes my feet get cold, not necessarily snow/ice. This should would be great on trails or in snow but I run on roads and the "spikes" on the soles are very hard and make me feel like I'm over pronating(?). Anyway, the shoe is extremely comfortable and I'll be getting a pair of the Nike Free shoes. Unfortunately I have to send these back.

I absolutely love these shoes. I ordered them a few months ago, and have experienced nothing but the best. I'm an 18-year old with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, but I love staying active and keeping in shape. Thus, I needed a shoe that would fit well in order to keep my feet secure and aligned, would provide adequate arch support in order for the effects of my excessively flat feet to be minimized, and would look well while running down the track or walking down the street. These shoes fit the criteria. They're amazingly flexible, and feel fantastic to walk on. The sole shock absorption minimizes impact, making these perfect for long periods of walking (as I do between classes at my university). The product information doesn't lie when it states that these are very effective in preventing moisture from penetrating. I've walked in these through moderate rain and my socks/feet have remained perfectly dry. The relatively little to no height gradient from the toe of the sole to the heel of the sole allows for more natural running movements if you're going to use these for jogging. I also HIGHLY recommend these for various cross-training and weight-lifting exercises. They provide good support and are easy on the feet when transitioning from machine to machine, doing free weights, or performing calisthenics and such. On a more superficial note, these shoes honestly look as fantastic as they do in the picture above. They're quite stylish, and I've had many people raise their eyebrows whenever they see them. I've had complete strangers in the gym come up to me to compliment these kicks. All in all, I did a very extensive and detailed search when I was looking for the perfect shoe that would be ideal for both cross-training/weight-lifting and jogging/conditioning. And although people may have favorites other than this shoe, the Nike Free TR2 Winter absolutely did it for me.

I get compliments every time I wear these comfortable, stylish shoes. They are slightly water resistant. They are warm but not too hot. The first time I wore them was on an 80 degree day and my feet didn't explode with heat.

I wore the Free TR 1 last year but got my actual foot size (11). It was a somewhat painful experience because of how little padding there was in the shoe compared to sneakers I've worn in the past. Eventually I got used to it only to start feeling my toes were cramped. I was reluctant to buy the TR2s this year but bit the bullet, this time getting 0.5 a size larger. I felt a lot less pain and started realizing that my feet were very weak from inactivity. Breaking in the shoe as well as my feet into the shoe was not nearly as painful and was much quicker. If you get the right size this shoe is probably the best training shoe you can get. It becomes very comfortable and your feet become stronger, ready to take on greater challenges in the gym/field.

These are some of the best all-weather shoes I've ever had. Highlights include: soft fleece at ankle make them super comfortable; the "free" means that they're lightweight, lighter weight than any other waterproof "sneaker" shoes I've ever had; waterproof so they keep feet dry and warm. Although I'm not a runner, I wore them in the snow yesterday during our Noreaster and they kicked butt. I plan to wear them throughout this winter.

I was a little worried about the shoes when I first put them on. High, stiff arches and an almost "sock-like" fit I wasn't expecting. After a couple of days, they wore in very well and they offer all kinds of support on long walks. I'm very glad I stuck with them.

These are great shoes. Warm due to the fleece lining. Snug though, not to the point of discomfort but if you tend to wear a thicker sock, go 1/2 a size up. They're super light and obviously the flex is great in them. Not the best for standing on cement floors all day but what shoe is?

This shoe is the Bomb. I love pretty everything about it. the only downside to it is that it pretty much has no traction on wet surfaces. I have face planted alot due to these things. but when its on dry surfaces it gets great traction.

These are too comfy. I only buy Nike and these are my first pair of Nike Free's. I use these for working out or just for running around doing things sometimes. I mainly used Nike Air Max's for working out but started lifting heavy squats/deadlifts and the Air Max's were compressing too much. Got these and they work great for everything. The sock like tongue makes these snug even when completely unlaced. They're the winter edition which means they have a little more insulation but they don't make my feet any warmer than my Air Max's. Lastly they look killer and that makes them get 5 stars by me.

Wow...another incredible Nike Free. Based on other reviews, ordered 1/2 size larger, and this was a perfect fit. This one is designed to be warmer, and imagine it will be. Extremely comfortable, and good for anything - running, court, elliptical machines.
