These are wonderful sandals, especially the softness of the foot bed and the adjustable straps. I bought a replacement pair of insoles to have on hand...great to have the option of replacing when the other wears out. I have very fussy tootsies...they are now very happy! Thank you Zappos, you are the greatest!

I have a few pair of Alegria. These are the first lower profile (smaller heel height) that I have purchased. They are comfortable and great for walking in cities. They also look very stylish on my feet. I have a small foot, but they seem to run true to size. The leather is soft. The adjustable straps make it possible to custom fit them to the conditions. That is, when it is hotter and I have to sit for long periods, my feet tend to swell. I can loosen them and still wear them comfortably, tightening up again after walking for a while. I recommend them for anyone needing a comfortable sandal. I am 66 years old and have had surgery on my right foot. Finding comfortable shoes that are also stylish is often hard for me. These fit the bill.

I LOVE these sandals! My first pair of Alegrias and they wont be the last. I wore them on vacation in Morocco and it was like walking on a cloud. Zappos customer service is 2nd to none. They arrived the day after I ordered.

Alegria makes a really great shoe. Comfort, and wonderful support. My high heel days are over, but now I can wear Alegria.

Oh my, comfort all the way! Lately the bottom of my heels have really been hurting from standing so much -- done retail work for 25 years. These truly are a godsend. I love the backstrap and the adjustability of all the straps in the front -- you can adjust it to your foot. The first day I wore them in the house to get used to them -- didn't want to take them off before I went to bed. I ordered the black with the silver beads on the top strap -- so cute in my opinion. I will be getting more shoes in this brand for sure!

Gave these shoes the smell test after reading the negative review. Not a hint of unpleasantness. Actually very stylish with great support and comfort. Ordering a similar brown version today.

I had never heard of this brand but will now explore what else is available from them. I have been on short term disability for close to six months. Staph infection, foot surgery, lymphodema (ridiculous swelling), pain, and deep ankle surgery and wound treatment. Today was my first day back to work and I had to wear my slippers. Basically I have one foot that's okay and my normal size 7. The affected foot still has swelling and borders on a size 8-9 wide. I was trying to find a way to not buy two pairs of shoes to make up one pair. I saw these on the site, read the reviews, and lo and behold, someone had foot surgery and highly recommended them. I worked a whole day today (yippee!), came home and brought the box in from the front stoop, and tried these on. Absolutely love them! The velcro/leather straps allow me to fit to my mismatched feet. The suede-like insole and arch support my feet well with no slipping. Highly recommended!

These are the first pair of Alegria shoes I've owned, and I now know why people rave about them. They are super comfortable, and accommodate my bunions with no trouble. One word about the size, though. I ordered a 39, as I wear a 9/9.5. They just fit length-wise, and in retrospect, I should have re-ordered a 40. Other than that, I love them!

Chrome Patent is what I ordered and it is absolutely perfect. My first pair of Aegrias and I am so glad I purchased them. Perfect in every way comfort and beauty. Can't say enough good about them. I will be ordering more Alegrias.

I have problem feet so need a "just right" arch. This sandal fits the bill. My only complaint is that the sole is plastic, not rubber, so it is a bit slippery on most surfaces. As an old lady I may need more stability!

The fit and size of this sandal was perfect, definitely true to size. The sandals are a very nice shade of blue, and made of quality material. They are very comfortable and can be adjusted at the heel, over the top of the foot, and over the toes. I really wanted to keep these sandals, but the right shoe made a loud squeaking noise every time I took a step. So, I made the decision to send them back.

My feet are not narrow, they are medium width and these were a bit too wide, the straps adjusted, but I had about an inch of strap hanging off the side, just did not look good. I think Alegria seems to fit people with wider feet better.

The shoe bed felt “too firm”, as I’ve noted with another pair of Alegria I have.

The fit and size are very good. I have fairly wide feet and they fit perfectly. I haven’t worn them for any length of time so don’t know how they will be for extended walks. The style is alright.

The first pair I bought in a gift shop in Florida. The sandals fit to a T and offered the arch support I needed (no more need for orthotics). Since then, I have ordered online and worn numerous versions of this design of Alegria sandals. The only issue I had was the back strap which I wish had more velcro so that I could tighten the shoe to fit properly. I had to take the sandals to a shoemaker to have him shorten the ankle strap and re-sew it which added to my cost for the shoes.

Comfortable and stylish, but too wide for me. Alas, had to return.

These sandals also have an additional adjustable strap around the back of the ankle. They were pretty but a little clunkier than the Alegrias I finally chose.

I didn’t keep these sandals as I had ordered several Alegria and I liked another pair better that had more color. Alegrias fit me really well, and have a lovely cushy bottom.

I liked these sandals but they were not flattering on me. Plus my custom orthotics did not fit in them well. Sadly I am sending them back.

The print is great and goes with lots of clothing. The only problem I had was with the stitching at the toe front. It may just be that I have extra long toes but they rub on the thick stitching. I can wear them for a couple hours to go out in or short shopping, but not for a full day of walking. I actually do like them though.

I love this shoe but am returning it because the front modified rocker sole is not rocker enough. Otherwise it is perfect. I like the way the heel strap adjusts, and I like the style (I got the brown).

These are so lovely! They didn't quite work for me; the place where the footbed meets the toe of the outside just hit me in an odd place. But the really are beautiful and if they fit you properly, you'll be thrilled.

In my quest for comfortable summer shoes for my fussy feet, these were a strong contender. They feel great and it's nice to be able to adjust the straps to custom fit the shoe to your foot. They look a bit stodgy to me. They felt so good on my feet that I took another look at other styles this brand makes!
