I bought these at the end of last season. I keep hoping they will break-in. They are NOT comfortable and are much more difficult to walk in than they should be…like feet being strapped to rigid, rocking planks. So cute and so disappointing.

I do not understand why there is velcro on the wrap strap that goes over the top of the foot as there is no way to tighten the fit using it? I really liked the look of these but they were too loose with no way to tighten the fit over the foot.

Fit way too big.

Great looking sandal, returned it because the seams on the footbed rubbed on my feet. Was looking for a good-looking walking sandal for a trip to Europe. Ending up loving and keeping the SAS Marina sandal which is awesome.

Wanted to like these. Very cute sandals. But the buckle rubbed my arch (inner side of foot) badly on my right foot. And even though I wear flip flops often, the toe post on these hurt my toes. I have wide toes and a narrow heel, and my little toe almost hung off the side of these.

I love these shoes -- very comfortable and adorable -- but sadly they were just too wide for my narrow size 6 feet and slip off when I walk, so they have to go back.

It broke my heart to return these shoes, they are so adorable but, there is a huge design flaw and it's a deal breaker. There is a heavy line of stitching that runs all around the inside of the foot bed making it extremely uncomfortable to wear unless you happen to have a narrow foot. I sincerely hope these reviews make it back to the powers that be and design team at Alegria, as it is a real shame that they are missing out on so many potential loyal customers because of a problem that could be so easily corrected.

Shoes are very pretty, but definitely NOT WIDE enough for me. My foot rested on the stitching around the shoe. I cannot really comment on the comfort because I didn't wear them, although the footbed did feel like it could have been comfortable (soft). SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THAT ONE REVIEW THAT WARNED ME ABOUT THIS ISSUE!

I am so disappointed with these sandals! As always, Zappos delivered them in lighting speed (less than 24 hours from the time I ordered them). But unfortunately, they are just too narrow. I don't normally wear a wide with shoe. I recently bought a pair of Nike Lunareclipse +4 in a size 8.5 and have some Birkenstocks in size 38. But the outside of the widest part of my foot sits on the edge of the shoe and my heel doesn't sit right either. There is like a half inch wide ledge around the whole insole area that is hard and immediately aftet putting them on I could tell they weren't going to work. If they had these in a wide, I would exchange them for a wide. Everything else seemed to be great

I love Alegria shoes, but this sandal just didn't cut it. I couldn't keep it on my foot. But even if I could, I would have sent it back. They looked very clunky (moreso than other Alegria shoes). And, the beading looked cheap. I had high hopes for them, but knew as soon as I took them out of the box that they would go back.

The shoe was cute, the part that went between the toes was rough and uncomfortable. I had to return.

These feel fantastic out of the box. And then the thong strap pulls out (ALL the way out, for my first pair). I thought the first pair was defective, so got another (thanks Zappos for the exchange). And then it happened again with the second pair. The thong didn't come all the way out, but for both feet it did dislodge, and way more on one shoe than the other. So now I have to squinch my toes to keep them on. That totally defeats the purpose of having them as comfort shoes. I think the pressure on the top of the shoe, from walking with rocker-bottom shoes, is too much for just one strap. I love Alegria shoes, but they have to have a sturdier way to stay on the foot.

I am very disappointed. The sandals felt comfortable, but after the second wearing, the decorative metal "buckle" randomly fell off. This is not something that is used to attach a strap to the shoe, it's just a metal thing that looks like a buckle tha matches the chain maille style of the pewter colored leather. It must have been poorly attached to begin with. So my somewhat expensive new sandals now look like junk.

This is the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn! No give at all in the sole. I really wanted to like these but it was like trying to walk with bricks tied to your feet! Awful! Unfortunately I waited too long to send them back. Now I'll end up donating them.

I have only had the Alegria Carina in the Sand Magic for about 6 weeks and have worn them a dozen times (approximately) yet the decorative stud at the top of one of the sandals has broken off; luckily I found the stud and have tried to glue it back on but that didn't work so will have to pay to have it repaired. I'm sorry but I don't think a sandal costing this much should come apart after such a short time. What a shame I will never buy this brand again - I don't care how comfortable they are.

Both shoes made a horrible squeaking noise when walking. I emphasize both shoes because I exchanged this same shoe for the same reason. Only, in the first pair, the right shoe made a horrible squeaking noise when I walked. The shoe is cute but the strap that goes over the foot is too large for me. I was planning on taking them to our local shoe repair to have them shortened. I also purchased "turquoise aloha." I returned them. I thought the silver, jeweled accent on the strap was cheap looking and detracted from the shoe.
