My foot is too wide for this sandal. Too bad because they are very cute!

I have wide feet and unfortunately these Alegria's didn't work for me. I have other pairs that fit fine. The problem with this one is that my foot hangs over the side on the outside portion. Not at all comfortable. The strap is adjustable but that doesn't help when the sole is too narrow.

It ran large as opposed to others I have ordered of the same brand. I returned it mainly because of the color. I was anticipating a sand color, and this was mainly gold....almost blinding with gold binding around the sole. Nothing like I expected and just plain gaudy.

This looks much better in the photo. I was really excited to get this as I need a new pair of black slip on shoes that are not flat like normal flip flops (I like the platform shoes of early 2000's). However, this looks very cheap in person. You don't see the little flowers, it just looks like snake skin from afar, the type you see that is fake skin and very shiny. The foot bed is VERY wide, and I don't have narrow feet. I do wear a wide in running shoes and these look very big on me. They Made my foot look big and this isn't a good thing in my opinion for a woman. They were comfy the couple minutes I had them on to look at them, but the look of them on was too off for me.

I bought these sandals and the Alegria Kleos. The Kleos, for me, are much ore comfortable. The Kleos stay put on my feet and have a very comfortable footbed! These are ok, but one of the sandal slides around on my foot as I walk, and that is not so comfortable. The other stays put. I don't know why. The toe post is a bit uncomfortable on the sandal that slides around a bit. I kept both, but like the Kleos better. But I'm going to keep my eye on this brand for now on. I am a 7 or a 7 1/2 and the 37 fit perfectly.

The toe and the arch strap were uncomfortable. I didn't like the way my foot felt when I walked in this shoe.

These look great with flare jeans however, they aren't very comfortable which surprised me. They almost remind me of a Japanese wooden sandal with a suede liner. I'm keeping them because I like the style but don't like the NOT comfortable part about them. Also, there is stitching around the footbed edge that has a wrapped piece of leather that cuts & rubs my toes. The top leather and the part in between the toes are comfortable though...Just the footbed is NOT comfortable nor has any sort of cushioning/shock absorbency nor pliability. The arch support is good and firm and will probably never break down if that's what you're looking for. I wish Zappos carried more Josef Seibel sandals.

I love the look and comfort of these sandals. Unfortunately, if you have small feet you might not be able to get the perfect fit with the adjustable hook-and-loop instep strap. I need more strap. Sadly I will have to return.

This particular style isn't wide enough in the toe box area for me. My little toes were hanging off a bit and the rest of my foot felt the stitching that runs around the perimeter of the shoe. Also something about the footbed gave me lateral foot pain. It's not like I'm unaccustomed to arch support. I have Orthaheel/Vionics, Aetrex, Dansko and more in my line-up. But these just caused pain on the lateral side of my foot. The shoe itself, its not pretty, but you could call it cute in a funky kind of way.

This is my first pair of Alegria shoes. Comfort-wise, the insole is fantastic and the leather is nice and soft, though I always felt like my toes were gripping the shoe, which makes my toes ache and feet hurt after a while. The reason for the 3-star is that the leather straps have stretched so much that I can't tighten them anymore. When I first got them in March 2016 (it's now August), they were great but I still felt the toe-grip thing. So, I thought I just needed to get use to them. The sandal doesn't bend very much when walking, so I think the stretch may have come from trying to grip the shoe with my toes as I walked as well as the placement and angle of the rectangular metal ring. Anyhow, fast-forward 5 months and though the insole has gotten more comfy, the ring now aligns itself in an oblong fashion which makes it impossible to tighten. Believe me, I've tried. It flips itself back to oblong even after I fiddle with it and the strap. The metal needs to be circular and/or the angle of the anchor needs to be different and the leather fastener needs to be more stiff. This will make more sense when you see them in person. I may try to have the metal rectangular ring switched to a round one and see if that fixes the problem. But, for the price, I think the shoe should hold up more than 5 months. This problem makes them a drag to wear and I'm now looking for another brand. Which make me sad because they really are very comfortable.

The fit is not really very adjustable due to the design and I couldn't make the strap meet the top of my foot. There was also an uncomfortable seam on the side. The "Fancy Fish" color is multi-colored dark green and gold with a snakeskin type of appearance--the top stitching is also gold. Footbed is soft and the rocker sole should be comfortable for walking.

These are not as cute as they look in the picture but still not bad. The problem is that the strap is too big over the top so my foot flopped around. The footbed was super comfortable, though.

I bought these because others had commented on how comfortable they were, and I found that to be true. But the strap in between the toes chafed my skin raw (only on one foot, so maybe it's me). I'll still wear them for short outings or around the house/yard, but not for hours and hours, as I'd imagined. One positive -- they look even better than as pictured. This is a quality shoe, just not for me.

I'm not sure if my feet are becoming deformed as I age or if the general population that flip-flop style shoes are geared to have "evolved." I loved these shoes and Zappos truly tried to accommodate me. The first pair I ordered seemed to have a defect in that the "toe stud" piece that goes between your toes seemed oddly placed - on my left foot only. The right shoe seemed fine - or at least something that I could get used to. I contacted Zappos and they kindly sent me a different pair in the same size and color. I had that exact problem with that pair - but on both shoes. It feels as though the toe stud is placed about 5 mm to far laterally on the shoe. Interestingly, I had the same problem with a pair of Chacos flip flops last year. Back to the drawing board!

I love the style and the colors; stitching and material edging rough and rubs against foot when walking.

Super cute, but way too loosey-goosey for my size 11 low-volume feet. Could barely walk in them without my foot sliding right out. Also, I do not find the arch support in Alegrias to be as great as other reviewers seem to - compared to Orthoheel, Finn Comfort, Birkenstock, or Chaco, there's hardly any at all, in my opinion.

I was so excited when this shoe came back in stock, that I instantly bought it. It is a beautiful shoe and the footbed is amazing. Very comfortable. The only downside to the shoe is that is feels a little on the narrow side which causes the strap to rub on the inside of your arch. It was too uncomfortable for me to withstand. I loved the shoe, but it just did not fit correctly for me personally.

I'm a big fan of Alegria Shoes, but this particular sandal will have to go back. Unfortunately, the foot bed of the Carina sandal is more narrow than the other styles. Being on my feet for several hours at a time means that I need a shoe that won't rub at the seams, and the Carina did just that.

Love the style and support of the sandal but for the price I don't expect cheap plastic broken beads. Unfortunately this pair (white) is going back and I'll try another color because the fit and comfort is excellent.

Big and clunky, did not fit right on my foot, found when I walked the front edge of the shoe would catch on the ground. However, a beautiful shoe, best quality I have seen in a shoe in a very long time.

Lovely, well-made shoes; however, even tightening the strap to the max, they were too loose, and my feet wobbled from side to side.

The style is beautiful, great details. However, the toe string feels rough, uncomfortable to wear. Does not work for my feet. Returning.
