I got these for my dad. My husband has worn Scotts his whole life. We live in Hawaii, so my husband wears them almost daily. He has this one and another nicer pair that have leather straps that he wears when he's dressing up a little more (yes, in Hawaii, you can still get away with looking dressed up in slippers-I mean, flip flops). Anyway, my dad, living in Hawaii since early 70s....he's always bought rubber slippers from the drug store (if you live in Hawaii I'd say everyone has a pair)...and was complaining about foot pain the other day. Well, I decided to buy him these and he loves them! I told him it's time to throw away the cheap kind that eventually flatten to pancakes. I picked these cause they have a nice little heel cup and some arch support. I can't attest to them myself but I have a pair of women's Scotts that I wear all the time and they have a little arch support too. Scott's are great they last forever and they're very affordable and good quality.

I've had these for a few weeks and have worn them about every day. In a nut shell these are the best flops I've had. Some things I really like about them: The rubber on the bottom is a dense sole kind of like the rubber on the bottom of a sneaker without the deep tread so I think they will last a long time. I've had smushy flops in the past that were a little lighter weight and comfortable, but those get little chunks taken out of them and wear out in a couple seasons. To me these feel like a rubber version of leather Rainbows. The tongs/straps on these look to be really integrated into the flop/sole so I don't think there is much risk of it ripping out. It's made out of a seat belt like material that's silky on the toes but feels really strong. The top of the flop is non-porous so can be sprayed off and dries quick. The cup and arch support are GREAT, I didn't know what I was missing until I got these. Finally, the design is classy yet sporty. I got the black ones which go with everything, they look high quality. Very happy.

My son loves these flip flops. The conversion chart for " big kids" to adult male sizes was spot on.

We wear a lot of slippers in Hawaii and these are really nice. Comfortable strap with a firm footbed. I veered away from Scott for a while, but am back now. Price for performance is hard to beat.

It's the best zori you can get. They last long and have a warranty for when they don't. After living on a Pacific Island, I've come to love Scotts and use them in almost any situation. I've portaged with them, hiked, worn them at home, and worn them to work. If you're interested in durable and quality products, this is what you get.

I love these flip flops. The nonslip soles are perfect for rain or for boats. I first bought them 27 years ago in Hawaii. The soles eventually wear out and I replace them. They are very comfortable.

Love these. Always prefer a cloth strap and all black sandals. These are sturdy and well made. Very happy!

These are the best! My last pair was purchased in Hawaii about 8 years ago. I was so happy to finally find these online! They arrived and we're just as I'd hoped. It's hard to find a good basic flip-flop. (I'm a girl, I don't think the basic black looks masculine. They just fit better than the women's version and are more classic.)

At last my Mephisto slippers broke and apparently they are not sold in the USA. I ordered these and was impressed from the beginning when opening the box. The quality is apparent. After wearing them it became obvious that a relatively simple design is engineered perfectly and assembled very conscientiously. Every now and then you purchase something where the product exceeds your expectation. Thsi product is like that.

Overall what I was expecting. These aren't necessarily the most stylish being made of nylon, but great for going to the beach or pool.

Size 12 fits my narrow 11.5 feet perfectly. They're really comfortable and seem like they'll be pretty durable. Good price too. Very happy.

Best flip-flops ever. The women's version isn't nearly as good so I buy the men's instead. They are comfy and they have good arch support. My summer staple every year.

These are very comfortable and have a bit of 'heft' to them. Not flimsy at all - very well made. Also a surprisingly short break in period.

Best sandals you can buy. Very similar in quality and longevity, to the original "Deckers" Sandals which Decker no longer sells. My last pair of Scotts Makaha lasted 5 years +, and I could keep going with the old ones, they're just getting a bit "flat."

Excellent flip flops. I normally wear a size 14 shoe but I order flip flops 2 sizes larger so my toes do not hang over the edges.

Been looking for Scott! They are the best water or deck shoe around. The sandals mold to your feet.

I got these for my boyfriend, he has worn them since forever! He says they are the best of the best, and these are the only flip flops he wears, and he has been wearing them for decades! But they have been difficult to find as of late. The last 2 pairs he ordered from a surf shop in Hawaii. So then I found them on Zappos! Got him the brown and the black. Boy, talk about thrilled! Since he is the one who wears them, I can't give a whole lot of detail. He likes them because they are heavier than most flip flops, and offer more protection for you foot if you step on something sharp. They also last a really long time. And he says they are super comfortable. He wears his almost constantly during warm weather when not at work. If you are a half size, order up as they only come in whole sizes.

These are the longest lasting flip-flops or slippers I've ever purchased, and their warranty on replacements is awesome if defective at anytime. Best value for your money don't be fooled by imitations. Since Las Vegas is the ninth island, had to purchase from local company Zappos!

This is my 3rd pair of these in a row. I lost my first pair in Laos in 2011 and my 2nd pair in Nicaragua last August (2014). I cannot say enough good things about these slippers (I'm from Hawaii, that's what we call them). They are extremely durable, but most important, they are comfortable. The arch support is perfect and the strap has never irritated my foot in the many years I've worn these. So yeah, if you're looking for a high quality slipper/flip flop, this is your best bet!

I've worn nothing but Scotts for the past 15 years. By far the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. They're built enough to last all day on vacation, but simple enough to go with anything. Had a problem with the last pair I ordered. Zappos sent me a replacement pair the same day, no questions asked.
