I thought that since they were vegan they might not be as comfy and soft as leather. I was wrong! These are as soft and comfy as the leather ones! :) Highly recommend them.

These are the same Docs I loved in my teens, but without the leather. They look and feel great! They just took a little getting used to again, after wearing other vegan shoes for so long. But I love 'em.

I am in love with these and have worn them pretty much daily since I got them. They are lightweight, soft and pliable and were comfortable right out of the box. I love wearing them with tights and dresses just like I did back in the '90's! So great that they are vegan. I get compliments on them all the time- people can't believe they aren't leather. I wear an 8.5 but ordered an 8 and they are perfect.

These boots are unbelievably comfy. Thought my Frye boots were the most comfy shoes I owned...until I got these. I wear these almost every day now. They break in fast and look great. Love that these are vegan, too. Zappos shipping and customer service is fantastic - these arrived at my place the next day. I wouldn't order shoes from any where other than Zappos!

I love these boots. I grew up wearing docs and have been meaning to get another pair as an adult. I live in combat boots these days and finally was able to put aside my fears of breaking in a pair of leather doc's by getting a pair of the vegan ones! BEST DECISION EVER! They are super soft, and did not need weeks of breaking in. They were perfect right out of the box. They felt a half size larger than marked , I wear an 8.5 and the 8s fit perfectly.

This is a well made boot. It fits well with skirts and jeans. The color is nice and it is Vegan!

I wear a US woman's 8 1/2. The UK6 was too small, the UK7 was too big. So sad they don't have half sizes. They look like they are made very well and the vegan "leather" looked great. Just really disappointed there is not US woman's 8.5 equivalent.

I removed the small insole and put in a gel insole when I got them so I didn't send them back. They rubbed he skin off the heel in two hours so I have started using band aids on the heel hoping to break them in. Poor fitting boot compared to any other shoes I have purchased. I wear them for short periods at a time. For something with such a reputation, I don't see the quality in this boot. Apparently,others find them suitable.

I love that I can now wear Docs again, without them being leather. I have had these for almost two years now, and they are still well worth the price. The material is still intact, no cracking or color rubbing off (as I have experienced with some of my Docs in the past). The toe is a little more narrow that I would like (less rounded than, say, Grinders). I usually wear a 9½ (US women's), and the 7 fits perfectly, with a little room even.They took a few weeks to really wear in, but now are some of the most comfortable boots that I own

Nice boots. The outside material is pretty durable, but the insoles are terrible. They'll break down in a few weeks with everyday wear. Be prepared to shell out another $20+ for good insoles.

SO happy with these boots! After going vegan a couple of years ago and getting rid of all leather, my work boots were the last thing to go. I tried cheap man made boots from payless which were a disaster, killed my feet and didn't let my feet breathe at all. When I found these Dr. Martens I was so excited because I knew they would be high quality, and it's also exciting when an iconic brand recognizes the vegan community, as there is definitely a growing demand. As with all boots, they took a few wears to comfortable break in, but now they are very comfortable (I did add some Dr. Scholl's gel inserts though) and sturdy. Not only that, they look good, I've actually gotten compliments from my co-workers AND the general public. Highly recommend this product, a godsend for us working class vegans!

Zappos is the best for customer service. I don't buy a lot of shoes and in truth started buying on Zappos mainly for gifts for my wife. But then I realized I needed a pair of work boots to take with me into the desert for 7 long months. These vegan Dr. Martens were soft and comfortable but I misjudged the size I needed (I told you I don't buy a lot of shoes for myself). That's where Zappos came in. They allowed me to return them free of charge for the correct size. Great. Done. But not quite. I then left for Africa and the shoes fell apart in the sand in 3 weeks. I couldn't return them because of where I was. I return home and Zappos takes them back easy as can be and replaces them. Hopefully it was only the sand that caused the others to fall apart and these ones will last. I'll see!

These may very well be the most perfect boot in existence. Classic style and now vegan, too! Dr. Martens is known for their durability, but also for their leather. Finally, a vegan alternative! These fit like a dream and look perfect. Comfortable although some inserts might not be a bad idea if you'll be wearing them to stand for long hours at work (like me). Depending on the brand, I can wear anywhere from a 7-8 US. Got these in UK 5/US Women's 7 and they fit like a dream. These boots are beautiful! I love these boots. I bought them as protective gear for my commuter scooter. They are comfortable and stylish. They seem to run a little large. Even by the sizing chart, so keep that in mind.

I am in love with these. I just got the black color, and they are beautiful. As a vegetarian I am so happy I can get a pair of Doc Martens without any animal products in them. They are definitely a bit big, but I like them that way so I can wear big socks in the winter. The faux leather is extremely soft and beautiful. My fiance was shocked when I got them and he found out they weren't leather because they look so good. I am starting to break them in a bit, as the bottom is quite stiff. If you are going to be standing for long periods of time, I would suggest an arch support or something inside the boots because they are very flat on the inside. There's plenty of room for them. I absolutely love these boots!

These are great boots if your job requires you to have work boots but doesn't require them to be steel toe. They feel very sturdy all around your foot. I ordered mine a little too big, so I would say whatever your size is, pick the size smaller. For instance I am a 7 in mens, so I would need a 6 for these boots. I just have been adapting to the bigger size and have not had an issue. Great alternative to wearing a cow!

Could not be happier with these boots! They feel very comfortable, although they get creases near the toes after a few days of wear. They clean up very well, and the creases become a lot less visible after a good polishing. Well worth the money.

Fantastic. Beautiful boots. Solid, durable material. I've gotten several compliments from strangers while wearing them. The color is very appealing in its subtly. Overall, a classic boot. And it's vegan! Here's to hoping that Dr. Martens exponentially expands their vegan line of shoes. How awesome would it be get some of their other shoes in a vegan version?!

As a longtime lover and wearer of Docs who has gone vegan, I thought beating the crap out of my old 'pregan' 8 hole (since age 14, almost 16 years now) and 20 hole (age 19) pairs was all I could do - till they unleashed the new vegan styles! It's been ages since I had a new pair, but I do think the soles/footbed are a bit stiffer/harder than my old ones, but a bit of break-in should be no problem. The veg leather of the cherry is a lovely blood-brown color and they're soft, but no cracks; we'll see how they hold up to scuffs. Love them so much, they might end up as wedding shoes; who knows! Wore them out to the city over the weekend and was warm, comfy and got lots of compliments. I'm a 5.5 and got a UK 3. Perfect!

Pretty comfy working boot, but does require an extra insole or cushion for jobs that require lots of standing. I work as a bartender and am on my feet for long hours. They are a little heavy, but they are very durable. Give them a few days to soften up and break in. Extremely fine construction. Just what I'd expect from the maker. Form and function!

While I was proud to find that Dr. Martens makes a vegan boot, I wasn't so happy with the overall comfort. I gave them a month, knowing that docs typically need a long break in period, but found that the front of the soul was breaking in, contrary to the heel. I didn't realize initially, but this changed my entire posture and my lower back started to hurt. They would be great if the heel wasn't so hard.

These are awesome! They are the most comfortable boots that I have worn. The non leather is so much more supple and comfortable. Cruelty free! Who can beat that? I hope to order the brown pair too! And Zappos is the best! I would buy everything from them if I could.

I couldn't ask for a more perfect boot. I have never owned a pair of Dr. Martens but these are very comfortable. They also came true to size. I wear an 11 in most shoes like Toms and skate shoes and I wear a 10 in converse Chuck Taylor's. I bought a size 11 and I have a little room to breathe with an exquisite fit. Pick these up!

Material looks okay at first and was definitely cherry red, almost purple, but creased immediately. Foot box fit true to size but ankle/upper is super wide with lots of overlap, making these unwearable laced up (I think my ankles are "normal" sized).
