These were a disappointment. The embossed black leather was hard as was the bootie in general, the Velcro tab didn't tighten enough, and my heels slipped way too much inside, even though I had the correct size. They also had an "orthopedic" look to them. I should have known, given the view of the bottom, but there was no top view. That probably would've been the clincher. I have Berk sandals and appreciate its foot conformity, but I wanted something a little more stylish.

Insole felt very hard with no cushion

I wanted to much to own these adorable and beautifully made shoes, but they just don't fit and they won't fit even in another size. I'm normally a 9M in closed shoes. The ones I got are 9/39. I can't be accurate with the check boxes on this review because my big toe slightly hit the front of the shoe in an annoying way, but my heel kept slipping out. So I can't even order them in a different size. Rats! I love the foot-shaped front of the shoe (I also like Birkenstocks and Dansko and those original earth shoes from the olden days.) The embossed leather is really unique and striking. The inside of the shoe is lined with a kind of short-napped furry stuff that feels luxurious. But, oh well. Back they go.

I have been a big fan of Alegria sandals and clogs for years. I decided to try these shoes as I liked the style and the quality of Alegria shoes. But this shoe was too big in the heal so my foot was not snug and as a result my foot would move forward and my toes would hit the end of the shoe. They were very uncomfortable so I had to return them. Too bad because I really liked the look of the shoe, the color, texture and quality. Thanks to Zappos for their great customer service and free shipping both ways!

tongue was very stiff leather and pushed against front of leg when you walked. would not recommend purchase.

So stiff, sole didn't bend, uncomfortable

I have been searching for boots that will not aggravate my plantar fasciitis or knee problems and when I first put these on thought they were the answer, but after walking around they began to rub against the top of my foot. The fit is strange: too loose on the heel and too tight across the top of the foot. I wore them outside so I can't return them. My search continues.

These ran *really* small. I don't know if perhaps Alegria changed their fit standards or what (I have other Alegria boots that fit just fine), but I could barely get my foot into these!

Though true to size and ok arch support, this low boot was very stiff. Even worse, the sole tips up at the top, has no give whatsoever, and is slippery even indoors on the carpet. I was looking for a similar but much comfier shoe made by Spring Step that is, alas, no longer available.

Way too narrow

Because it is an 11-1/2 - 12 it turned out to much bigger and overall looser than I expected. And it looked more like a bedroom slipper than a clog type bootie. I didn't realize this brand's more working stand up a lot style. The inner sole was very comfy but I would have needed at least one pair of really thick socks to make them somewhat wearable and they were so large looking on my already large feet I wouldn't have worn them and felt good. But they were cool looking in the crazy quilt pattern. Just not For me.

I ordered size EU 41 (10.5-11) in the black ink impressions pattern. They didn't look as cute in person, the top edge is rough-looking, the upper is stiff, and they're a little boat-like (especially in a larger size). I am normally a 10.5 in sneakers. These were too large for my foot, and my heel slid up and down while walking. The velcro didn't close tight enough to make up for all the extra space around my ankle and heel. Despite it being overall too large/wide, somehow it was rubbing one of my toe knuckles and felt strangely tight in a couple spots. The footbed felt like it would have been comfortable, but the upper didn't fit right at all, and I had to return them.

I had high hopes for this shoe as my DIL bought a pair of the lower style and loves the comfort. Instead, the padding in the arch hit right at the spot where I developed a plantar neuroma. And, the back ankle was way too high and dug into my leg. The size 9 seemed accurate.

These boots are nice looking; but bulkier than expected. The 7-7.5 was too big (I wear a 7 M in us sizing) and the arch was forward of my natural arch. Furthermore, they were too wide in the heel and slipped at every step.

Super cute shoes, but I ordered a size 13 that was most definitely not a 13. More like a 12. So unfortunately, back they go.

I am returning the shows because they aren't comfortable. Part of that is my fault...ordered wrong size (too big). Also, I don't think they look good on my feet...my feet are large and the way the shoe is cut makes my feet look like duck feet and 1/2 size smaller wouldn't really help that much. That isn't the fault of the shoe, just how I am made. The shoe was soft and nice looking. The sole isn't very flexible...felt like I was walking flat footed.

No way that these are size 11.5-12. A full size smaller.

I'm on the fence about these. I want to love them but they are not as structured as my Heidi's and they have less than moderate arch support. Will walk around the house a little more to decide.

I bought the Alegria Caiti boot in Drifted, size 39 (US 9-9.5). As I have plantar fascitis, I wanted a shoe with good support, and part of my summer wardrobe has been my podiatrist-approved Alegria sandal. Unfortunately, this boot is very loose in the entire ankle and heel area, providing no security whatsoever. My heel freely moved from side to side. One thing I learned with this plantar fascitis from my doctor is that I not only need a good footbed, but it is important for the heel to be secure (contained). Had to send these back. Style was just OK and not what I had hoped for. The color Drifted is versatile.

Everything was a fit disaster. Not what I would expect from Zappos!
