These boots are very comfortable and fit my smaller calves and ankles. I did find that they were about a half size too big. I am usually an 8 and the 7.5 fits perfectly. I bought the charcoal colour, I wish they came in black too. I am on my feet all day and I find that there is some arch support, the sole is rubber and has good grip outside. The lining inside the boots is soft and comfortable. I live in a snowy wet winter climate, unfortunately these boots are not water proof and my feet do get cold wearing them outside in cold weather.

Cute, but runs big and isn't snug around the calf if you have slim legs. I was looking for a boot that I could wear with dresses and skirts but this isn't it.

So close to perfect! But it has the dreaded shank-sag. Too narrow in the calf, leather too soft, breaks down and buckles in the shank. Probably cut too wide above the ankle.

These are beautiful boots. However, why they show up in the "knee-high" category is beyond me. They are mid-calf at best! I am 5'9", but most of my height is in my tall torso. I wear regular length jeans (so it cannot just be me that feels these come only to mid-calf... right?) I would love to keep these, but I am look for true knee-height boots. These are going back!

I LOVE these boots! FYI, I'm 5'3" and petite but have somewhat wide calves from too much weight training when I was younger. As a result, I sometimes have a hard time zipping up boots. But at the same time, I've tried on some wide boots and those were too big. I love my Born Sage boots. I wear them with skinny jeans and cotton ankle socks. They fit my wider calves, but at the same time, they don't emphasize the wideness of my calves. And the height of the boots come up to a few inches below my knees, which I think is perfect (I tried on some taller boots, but felt they made my legs look shorter). I can wear them all day at work, or all day chasing around my 1 and 3 year old girls, and my feet feel great.

I was so excited to find these boots. They're beautiful and comfortable. However, unfortunately, my 16" athletic calves don't have any room in the 16" shaft for the 9.5 sized boot. I'm so sad because I love everything else about this boot. I wish that my calves had enough space. I'm so sad to say that I'll be sending them back.

These boots are stylish and super comfy. I can actually wear these boots all day without foot pain in the evening. Only complaint is the color is not as rich as I expected - it's a bit streaky.

Love them BUT one of the buttons fell of the second time I wore them!! Anyone else had this problem? Luckily I found it (on the ground by my car later), but I see now that the buttons are just snapped on. I'm going to take them back and ask for another pair - hoping it is just a fluke on this one pair.

I was very excited about these boots. And when I opened the box, the quality looked great. The sole was extremely comfortable with lots of cushion. Unfortunately they were too big in the calf for me. I have another pair that fit snugly at 14 inches but these had tons of extra room. I'm guessing that they actually are more than 14.25 inch circumference. Too bad, I would have kept them otherwise.

Love the style and comfort of these, especially the buttons. I am a bit concerned about the quality of the leather dye, since the first pair I received had a very prominent light/dark line, with the entire toe section being noticeably lighter on one boot. The second pair I received and kept is mildly blotchy if you look really closely.

I wanted to love these. The footbed was very comfortable and, if the circumference were smaller, they would have had potential. As it was, I wanted shorter boots and a smaller circumference (my calves are 14-14.5 inches at their max). Also, I'm 8-8.5 and the 8 felt slightly roomy.

These boots are beautiful- great style & awesome color. However, if you are small boned, have a thin calf, etc., you will have a huge gap between you and the boot. So disappointed they don't work for me.

I liked these boots, and they fit well in the feet. They are about 1.5" too wide in the calves, though, and I don't think they look good because of that. I am returning them. Would not recommend if you have narrow calves.

I love born products, this is my 3rd pair of their boots. I agree with some other reviewers that the leather quality is not up to par with my first too pairs, its not as supple. They do have very good support, I can walk forever in them, wear them all day, etc. I got these about 2 weeks back and have been wearing them a few times a week. Today one of the buttons came off! It seems fixable, but for this price and this early into owning them I;m not terribly happy about this.

Returning because the calf is too wide for me. My calf at its widest is 13.5 to 13.75 inches, the boot at its widest is a little over 15 inches. This is enough to make the gap noticeable at the top.

I loved these boots for the first few months that I owned them. I am a kindergarten teacher and a mom of two boys and these just haven't held up. I have already lost a button, which is just not acceptable! Wish I had chosen another boot.

Loved the look of the boots and the leather was high quality. However, the shaft was way too big. I wear size 11 and the shaft circumference was 16.75". I guess the item specs refer to a smaller size. My 14.5" calves were swimming in them.

The foot bed on this is way too wide and clunky. It ends up looking like a rain boot. I loved the detailing of the buttons. Too bad.

These boots are too wide in the calf. I can stick my entire hand in the space between my calf and the boot while wearing it. Not a good look. And they hit at the widest part of your calf, so they make your legs look bigger and shorter than they are. On the positive side, they are ridiculously comfortable in the foot box, so I really debated whether to keep them. But sadly they have to go back. I love the idea of a shorter version of the tall boot because I am petite, but such boots need to have a narrower calf.

These are so cute...but if you have skinny calves they just don't work. I wish they would have fit better because they are gorgeous.

I really wanted to LOVE these boots. I was looking for a great flat boot that would be good with leggings in the winter. In the video, the leather looks so much softer than it was in person. Also, I have thin ankles and the boot was a little tough and rubbed against my ankles when I walked (not to mention looked unflattering).

I think these are very cute boots, but with my 13" calves, they were super wide at the top of the shaft. I had a good 3" extra floating around and it looked really silly- a bit Puss In Boots'ish. So if you have scrawny calves like mine, you may want to skip these!

I read all the reviews and everyone said to order down and of course I didn't. Ordered up 1/2 size and they were way to long and wide. They are very pretty boots and I re-ordered my size, now hoping they will fit. Hope this helps anyone.

These boots are great, but fall apart quickly! I've had them a little over two months and already two of the covered buttons have fallen off of one of the boots. I've never had a problem with things coming off of my shoes (I usually keep shoes for many years). Now I'm left with boots that have two sharp, ugly metal nubs where the buttons should be. I'm very disappointed, because for the price they should have lasted much longer. I have e-mailed the company about the problem but received no response. Otherwise they are nice boots!
