These boots are amazingly comfortable, I've worn them for hours on end while walking around and they've yet to cause any discomfort. The toe box is the perfect size for someone who has a wider forefoot; the length of the boot hits me around mid-calf, overall a perfect fit and worth every penny! I've literally gone hiking in these things, climbing over rocks and walking through forests. Use common sense, they'll get scratched if you're not careful but they're still comfy!

I have a difficult time getting shoes to fit because of the difference in size of my feet. These are not only the most comfortable boots I have had but more comfortable than my regular shoes. I bought them in both colors and they are my go to's.

This is a beautiful boot, the color is more gray than charcoal. The shaft of the boot is wider, so if you have a larger calf, this boot works well. Size-wise I am a 10 1/2, so I went with the 11, it's a little roomy, but then I can wear either a heavy tight or sock with these boots.

Love these! Decent tread (not afraid of slipping), great fit, and they look so good on. Also fit well on my skinny calves!

Very comfortable and nice looking boot. Required no breaking in. Could be a bit "sleeker," but works well with a variety of skirts/pants.

These are the best boots. What a great mixture of comfort and style! Now I just need to find another pair of equally great boots so that I'm not wearing the same shoes all the time.

I'm sad that this boot doesn't fit my narrow heel. The comfort and quality are typical of Born (wonderful!). They seem slightly slouchier through the ankle than the pictures depict, but the smooth leather and button detail dress them up somewhat. The charcoal color is definitely closer to black than gray!

I am so glad I made the investment in these boots. I love the style and get compliments all the time! They are very comfortable but I would warn not to wear thick socks (made that mistake). They are a tad narrow. Overall a great buy and beautiful boot!

This boot runs true to size and is instantly comfortable. I have small calves and that part is a bit big but not a deal breaker. Charcoal color is pretty close to black and very nice. Leather is very soft. I like these boots a lot. My rather high arches require an insert but there is plenty of room for it.

Great boot! I've been looking for a more casual, comfortable boot that does not have a big heel on it, and this is exactly what I needed. This boot is stylish, but not over decorated. So many other boots I found have big buckles and straps on them, or else they look like work boots. I also like that these have enough space for my athletic calves + skinny jeans, but they are not too loose to wear with tights if I want to wear a dress or skirt. The height is great for someone who is less than 5'5". The built in soft liner is nice too, don't have to wear super tall socks.

Classy, stylish. Too bad it has apparently been discontinued. Got it in two colors and would have gotten black if available. I wear a size 9. Room for an orthotic.

I just LOVE these boots! I have been looking for boots for over a year, and every pair I have tried are either uncomfortable or don't look great. I'm only 5'0, so sometimes boots look too tall for me. But these are PERFECT! They're super comfy, the leg is roomy enough, but not too big, the toe is the perfect shape, and the color (charcoal/sage) is gorgeous! I can't wait to wear them! Yeah!

I love these boots!! I was looking for something a little different/ dressier than a riding boot and these hit the mark... I'd tried on many pairs and these were my favorite. The best part is they are incredibly comfortable! They are a little roomy at the top of the boot for my 13-inch calf but nothing terrible. Definitely recommended, especially in the charcoal.

The boots are cute, definitely something you can dress up or down. They were too small in the calves for me to wear jeans under them.

Great boot. I was able to wear it right out of the box for several hours and it felt like I was wearing tennis shoes. I'm very impressed! Felt about half a size large- which was good for me since I was able to add orthotics and medium weight socks. The shaft is wide enough to tuck skinnies (I have fairly muscular calves) Height was perfect for me - at 5"1 they were the perfect height.

I wrote a review of these boots last year when I purchased a pair. They were so comfortable and I received so many compliments that when I saw two new colors out for this season I decided I needed a second pair. Although the styling and fit is identical to the previous season's, the colors and texture of the leather are different. The charcoal is a true dark grey and the texture is a smooth leather as opposed to the more rough appearance of my other pair. I look forward to getting a great deal of use out of these this year.

Love them! So comfy. Sometimes I'm a 6 1/2, bought these in a 6 though and they fit perfect.

I have found in the past that all my Borns tend to run large so I ordered down. Probably should have ordered a 1/2 size bigger than I did but 6 was the only size left in the gray. They were a little small but still very comfortable although I wouldn't have been able to wear thick socks. Unfortunately they are quite a bit shorter than the stated 15 inches. Actually came to mid calf and were meant for someone with much larger calves than mine so they flared out at the top. They are very cute and comfortable if they are the style you are looking for but I found Clarks Orinocco Skip to be exactly what I wanted so the Borns went back. Thank you Zappos for making returns so easy.

Great boots! The leather is thin and very soft. The dark "antique" stain painted on over the leather rubs off, so I don't know how long they will look amazing, but I love them for now. The fit is roomy in the ankle, heel and calf, which is perfect for wearing over skinny jeans. I wound up ordering these three times. The size 8 fit like a 9, the 7 fit like a 7, and the 7.5 fit like a snug 8. It was worth the trouble. I get lots of compliments on these boots.

I got these boots in September before they ever even went on sale.I have worn them all the time, dressed up and dressed down. I have received so many compliments on them, pretty much every time I wear them. I even kept wearing them afyter I had lost one, then two now five buttons. Anyone know how I can get replacement buttons? They are so comfortable I still wear them at home.

Ended up returning these. They had a rather Western feel that I wasn't going for. And the calves were large on me, but I have small calves.

After spending hours looking for boots, I decided on these in brown and love them. I was so glad when they finally arrived and I wore them around the house for a few hours to break them in. I just sat down and noticed that the top little decorative button fell off and now a shiny piece of metal shows. It looks horrible and I can't wear them that way. I'm usually skeptical of people complaining in reviews, but it is making me wonder if this is a fluke or if I'm asking for trouble by keeping them. It has rave reviews everywhere, but several people did mention this problem. I'm not sure if I'll replace the pain I have or look for something else similar, but with nothing that can break off so easily?!

This would be a great boot for someone petite. It's fairly tailored and works with jeggings or knee length skirts. I have long legs (I'm 5'8"), and the height of the boot was too short for me.
