I have been looking for brown oxfords I could wear to work for months now. After trying at least 10 pairs (thanks to Zappos' generous return policy), I finally found these. They are stylish and fit me well in my regular size (8.5). The removable insole allows me to wear it with orthotics. Perfect!

This shoe is really cute and vintage-looking. I love it! However, the pair that I received has signs of being worn a little. I am sorry that I have to return it and order a new pair! BTW, they run a little bit small.

It's a fantastic shoe. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them. I bought them so I wouldn't look a scraggly grad student and they worked. I bought a pair of Born flats that were so comfy and saved my feet that I wanted something for winter that would not kill my feet too. The shoes are kind of grayish/faded black color. I'm really satisfied with the color despite initially wanting plain black. They look great with skirts, dresses, pants, and jeans. And of course, I got them quick from Zappos.

I love born shoes. I have a lot. I don t like to wear shoes that I have to tie, but these were so cute I had to buy them. They look great. The leather is nice and soft and smooth. The only thing I was disappointed in was there wasn't enough padding and/or cushioning as in other born shoes I have.

This is the third pair of Arlettas I have ordered and they are just as good as the others. If they came in more colors in my size I would order those, too. They are a great fit for my long, narrow, flat feet and while they are almost as comfortable as sneakers, they look much sleeker. The leather and construction are high quality; the details are refined. I love that the bottom does not look like a clunky unit sole though in reality it is. I keep them well-polished, slip in a soft insert for extra cushioning and I can wear them with anything short of a cocktail dress.

I love a menswear look and am always on the hunt for a good looking, fairly dressy oxford for office and travel. But I wear a US 11M -- a true Euro 42 -- and fit is often a problem. Born Arletta is an excellent fit (though no spare room for warm socks). I took them out of the box and wore them for the rest of the day in perfect comfort. The look is stylish and the velvet laces give a feminine touch. The rubberized sole is stable and quiet in the echoing marble halls of government where I work, while still looking trim and dressy. A very pleasing shoe. I'll be buying more Borns now that I know they'll fit.

So comfy, they feel good on my feet and don't squish the toes. The velvet laces add a nice feminine touch to the menswear style shoe. Glad I got them!

I float in between 8.5 and 9 but the 8.5 still feels very roomy. I can even wear thicker socks. I can walk alot and they stay very comfortable. I like the vintage somewhat feminine version of the menswear look.

I'm not big on writing reviews, but I had to make an exception for this shoe. I've been on the lookout for a men's inspired oxford for some time now, and spotted this one on Zappos. Got them yesterday, put them on, and I found them to be super comfortable and ready to wear. As an orthodic wearer, it's really hard to find a stylish yet comfy shoe, and these completely satisfy both of those needs. Tempted to buy another pair!

These shoes are awesome. Comfortable right out of the box. I normally wear a 5 and a half but the size 6 fits well. No pinching or rubbing anywhere. Only thing is that the shoelaces don't stay tied well. Beautiful gray color that goes with everything I own.

Love the velvet shoe strings! As always Born equals the perfect combination of comfort and style.

I bought the grey one (which I do nit see listed any more), and it is one of the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned, right out of the box. It is true to size, in every aspect. It is stylish enough for work and comfortable enough for city walks. I took it to Europe and it worked out great for day long walks, even on cobblestones. I have somewhat of a flat foot and he insole is super comfortable. I have only one complaint, but I do not know if this affects the other colors: the grey I got was already a worn style, but regardless, after one day of use the front of the shoe looked like I ha been wearing it for five years. I sent it back, got another one, same deal. I ended up finding some grey shoe polish and have to polish the shoes pretty often to make them look OK. It is worth it, just a word of caution for those who have the same color.

These are comfortable right out of the box. I got the burnished gold and while the color does not go with everything, they are truly versatile. I am very happy with them.

I purchased these about a month ago and I have worn them almost every day since them. I love these shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box - no break in required.

Born Arletta is a lovely and fashionable shoe w/a bit of a quirky nature. The 8.5 is a Euro 40. I have made the mistake of 1/2 sizing up on Borns in the past, all this does is prove to cause blisters on my heels from the heel casing riding up and down, so stick w/your true size. The patina is a rough sewn, sparkly at places and dull at others, which allows its newness to be forever, not showing scuff marks as it were. A keeper!

Wonderfully comfortable - no breaking in time needed. Looks great with pants, skirts and dresses. One of my new go-to shoes.

I got this shoe for a Spring Break trip to Paris. Walked all day with no problems. I wear a 5 1/2, but it only came as small as a 6, which I found very comfortable with socks. It looks good with slacks or skinny jeans and has my daughter's approval.

I ordered in the grey. These shoes are fab. Very comfy and stylish. My orthotics fit in them without removing the insole. I just ordered the metallic ones too. Fab shoes!

These shoes are the berries! I love them and the are very comfortable. I'd be Dorothy if they were red!

Absolutely love these shoes! Had been looking for some oxfords for awhile and these are perfect. Beautiful color (burnished brown), so comfortable (Born, so that is expected), and easily dressed up for work or down with jeans. Come with wax laces if you want to change out the velvet ones, which I did. Never can go wrong with Born! Worth the money. Zappos shipped super fast as well.

I absolutely love these, but I was so disappointed to discover that they are gold, not silver as I thought from the photo. Too bad the fancy name that Born called this style does not describe the color at all. I did get great service from Zappos.

I wear these shoes just about every single day. I am a college student on a large campus and they are as comfortable as sneakers but look professional. They also go with everything: pants, skirts, shorts, dresses. I am very impressed by the quality. They have held up quite well and don't show any signs of falling apart like cheap shoes do. I highly recommend these!

Wow, I have been looking for years for a decent (comfortable!) oxford. I have narrow feet and these are great, they don't cut up my ankles. Classy looking, etc. Cute laces too. I might have to buy a pair in another color.

These shoes are really cute and comfy! Finally, an oxford shoe that doesn't look mannish. The gray color is somewhat lighter than it appeared on my screen, but it's a refreshing change from all the black shoes in my closet. They look great with black slacks or straight leg jeans. Love the velvet laces (plus they also come with leather laces).

This is an excellent shoe! Looks great with skirts, jeans, and trousers. Very comfortable, the quality is wonderful. I can walk around in these soles without slipping in different types of weather.
