I am a huge fan of Eagle Creek products and own two ES2 luggage (Tarmac 22 and 25) plus accessories.I'm excited to see the improvements made for the new ES3 series: for example the introduction of Tarmac 20 wide body and previous version is a bit small; the redesigned Tarmac 22 external compartment is large enough to fit a 15 inch laptop (ES2 Tarmac can't) and this saves time when passing through the security line. It's clear that the Eagle Creek team has put in much effort in continued improvement of their products. However, I have one complaint about theseries: the wheels make a loud sound when moving on hard surface.I suppose the design was to extend wheel life by using a hard material. I encourage you adopt a quieter wheel design.

I bought this product to travel to Asia with. It has been used nearly every day for 5 months and in fairness, I expect some wear and tear. When I first received it, it seemed a little flimsy but due to its slim design, thought no more about it. Within 2 weeks of use, the stitching came away from the back of the pouch and as you can see, has continued to do so. A slight annoyance due to its cost and how new it was, but I persevered. Yesterday the clip snapped and now has rendered the pouch unusable. I am very disappointed due to the faith I had in the eagle creek brand at how poorly made this appears to be. If you purchase one, hopefully yours will last a bit longer.

I first wrote to Eagle Creek with regards to the size of their bags back on Oct 24 and received a response on Oct 25 with a generic response. I then called Eagle Creek on the same day and spoke to Jennifer who said she would ask the warehouse to pull up the bags I was questioning and take their measurements and they would let me know. I then wrote again on the 26th asking for exact sizing on 5 Eagle Creek bags and received a generic response with no info. I again wrote on Nov 9th asking for a response to my previous e-mails and call. I received a call saying this request would be sent again. To date no response! I have tried to find someone else at Eagle Creek to write to but have not been successful in finding an e-mail address. I have composed a letter to the president... Steve Barker but again no e-mail addresses to send it to. In a nut shell here is my inquiry. Airlines are forcing people to either pay a fee or check their luggage or you must carry your luggage on. However the size restrictions are being adhered to and many people are being caught with the wrong size of carry-on luggage... me included. Many of Eagle Creek's carry-on bags state they are 22 x 14 x 9 which is legal carry on size for many airlines. 22 x 14 x 9 when multiplied out equals 2772 cu inches. However, when I look at the ORV Trunk 22 it states it is 2800 cu in or for the Tarmac 22 it shows 2990 in cu. I also read by a poster that their 22 in duffel was actually over 23 inches. Anything over 2772 cu inches has to be larger than the 22 x 14 x 9 so I no realized that while Eagle Creek shows the sizes of their carryon bags as 22 x 14 x 9 this may or may not be true. I live in Canada whereby I cannot go into a store and measure the bag before I try. From what I have read, Eagle Creek seems to be a superior product but one does start to wonder when the sizing of their bags seems to be incorrect and when questioned about it, I cannot seem to get an answer.
