The size was right but my toes were hitting the top of the toe box, which seemed shallow. If that hadn’t been the case, I probably would have kept the shoes even though I thought they looked really clumsy.

These shoes just don't fit my feet. I have wide feet and own other Allegria shoes. These seemed even wider than normal. Despite the extra width, they cut into my high instep just above my big toe joint. Addtionally, the bumper around the outside adds another 1/4 inch of width visually though not in the actual space for your feet. I felt like they made my feet look even wider than normal. These are going back.

Oh my goodness, they weight a ton. I don't need a brick to carry around each day. In addition, they are extremely wide and my foot just about slides out of the shoe when walking. I cannot say anything good about this Alegria shoe. Even in socks it is not a good fit.

I'd heard great things about Alegrias for wide feet, but alas, these run way small and even the Wides are not very wide. I tried multiple sizes, all to no avail. If you have wide feet, given the choice between these and Birkenstock, stick with Birkenstock (even better, men's Birkenstock).

Too bad this shoe must be marked wrong. I always order the same in the name brand and style but this shoe must be at least one size too small.

I wanted to like these. They were recommended for hallux limitus. But I could barely get my feet into them; there wasn't room in the toe box. And when I did get them on, the edges of the shoe rubbed my food. All in all, very uncomfortable. Too bad.

This is such a fun and clunky shoe! The blue and other color and design choices are fabulous. But I felt like Cinderella trying the shoe on. I usually wear a size 7, so the size 7 - 7.5 should have been a perfect fit. Alas, my toes touched the edge of the toe box and since the shoe is so solid, there would be no room in the toes to give. Sadly, I had to return the shoe because the toe box was just too short and I needed this type of shoe for miles of city walking. And since the arch and heel were perfect, I was reluctant to try the 8 - 8.5. So I ended up purchasing Naot, which was a bit more conservative but stylish......and comfy in size 7.

I wanted to like these shoes, but I have picky feet. I am definitely going to try other styles by Alegria though, as the footbeds and support that come with their shoes are amazing. I need a wider toe box and while the W size in these does accommodate that need, this style of shoes just fits oddly. When I walk my toe is hitting the top of the shoe, and the toe box seems to be shaped oddly, as if it points inward or something. They are cute, and while clunky, they are super comfy - just have to get a better fit. I'm going to keep trying, as for comfort shoes these are reasonably priced.

Wish they would have worked for me. The top cut/rubbed into the tops of my feet. Foot bed feels great but the rubbing on top of my feet is a deal breaker. I wish Clarks would bring back their Unstructured MaryJanes. They were the best.

I really wanted to like these shoes. Style, toe room, color choices, rocker bottom, and non-slip soles were all pluses. However, the heel well was so deep that the sides of the Paloma cut like knife blades into my ankle bones. I tried adding lifts to the heel unsuccessfully. When they are back in stock, I shall try the Alegria that does not have the heel.

I did not find the shoes comfortable. I had to returned them. My toes hurt and the shoes style looks too big.

I want to like them so much but...my ankles hate them. The strap across the top of my foot rubs against my feet all day. I am trying to "break them in" but I'm paying a serious price for it. Originally I bought the 8-8.5 which was WAY too big. So I went down to the 7-7.5. They fit length wise, but they are still very bulky and wide looking. I feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. I get mixed opinion from co-workers, mainly that the shoes are super cute but they look huge on me. I have very narrow feet. I am overall disappointed but I'm hoping they get better with time?

This is my 2nd pair of Alegria shoes. My first pair was Belle. I bought the Black Dazzler Paloma and they destroyed my feet with one wearing and now they can not be returned. The back of my heel, the side of my inner arch and the side of my toe have all been rubbed raw by a 1 mile walk. The material of these shoes is not very soft like I thought it would be. I'll need to be more careful when I buy my next pair.

Based on the rave reviews, I expected this shoe to be much more comfortable than it was. I purchased the hippie chick Dottie in a size 43 for an upcoming trip to Europe because I need a good walking shoe. I wear a 12. Immediately the shoe was a lot stiffer than I understood. My big toes were also hitting the front of the shoe wall at times. I figured I just needed to break them in for the day. By mid-morning I noticed my feet were extremely hot inside the shoe, which feels like a hard Birkenstock material. Although the arch support and the cushion are fine, the feeling inside the shoe is extremely warm to the point that my feet had actually swollen. Sending these back.

Love these shoes. But after barely 2 months, the leather is splitting along the top of the shoe. For a 120 dollar pair of shoes, it seems awfully quick to be falling apart.

I wanted this shoe to work, I really did. Adorable design and great arch support for my flat feet. Unfortunately I also have wide feet and even the wide size was too snug. However a size up would have been too long. Had to return.

I needed a nice transitional shoe- not as casual as running shoes, but dressier than flip flops. I have Plantar Fasciitis and these Alegria's were recommended to me by a friend with PF, so I gave them a shot. I'm a size 10.5 wide, and that size is so hard to find, so I was thrilled these were available in 10.5 wide, but unfortunately they just don't work for me- the arch support and width are good, but the sole of the shoe made me feel like I was teetering on them and I'd fall off them and break an ankle. Plus, they're definitely not as cute in person as they are on the website- they're downright ugly. They look like orthopedic shoes- not stylish at all. Also, my heel was swimming in them- they had no support in the heel at all.

If you are going to replace the insoles, this review is for you. I ordered my usual size and they fit fine. But the removable cork insole is huge. It's really thick. When I took it out and put my own in, the shoe was a whole size too big. It was even too long. I ordered the Belle at the same time (same problem) and the Paloma was really stiff. Liked the Belle much better.

I wanted to love these as an alternative to Danskos. They were fine for the office, but as soon as I did any "real" walking (from the office to the car and back - less than a couple blocks), discovered that these were not going to be practical for day-to-day use. I have shoes that are much cuter and far less practical-looking that are much more comfortable for even short walks.

I have always been very pleased with Zappo's shoes. This shoe was cute, but was very stiff, cut strangely and short. I had planned to use it as a walking shoe for a trip to Italy. It is being returned.

I absolutely love these shoes. Not only are they very cute, but they are easily the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn in my life. One HUGE complain. They squeak!!! The squeaking started about the third time I wore them and only has gotten worse since. I finally had to stop wearing them as it was distracting and embarrassing. It's so loud people always look. I'm so sad I can't wear my favorite shoes. What a huge waste of money.

I bought a pair of Alegria and loved them at first, then the longer I wore them the more they squeaked. Being a nurse, trying to walk into a patients room without waking them up was impossible. I decided to try a different style but stuck with Alegria. Again at first they were fine, but after about 2 months they started to squeak again. I will never buy another pair of this brand.

I returned my first order because it squeaks (really loud. Zappos exchanged another Alegria (same shoes) and it still squeaks. The squeaking usually starts after a month or two of wearing it. It is sad because the shoe is very comfortable, I just can't deal with the squeaking sound. I am working on returning the pair.
