I wear a size 11 and bought a pair of these a couple of years ago for traveling. I was basically sold on trying this brand in the first place by the overwhelming number of positive reviews especially by health care professionals, who are on their feet countless hours a day. Now, while I agree that these are a step up both style and comfort wise from your regular fare (in other words, brands and styles you can easily find at department stores etc), my personal experience hasn't been quite as stellar as I had hoped. My first comment would be that if, like me, you have large feet, you better get used to feeling or looking like you're wearing clown shoes. It probably would've helped if I had stuck with plain black or brown, but I bought my pair in a bold pattern that, well, stands out. But the main reasons I don't think these really live up to the hype - at least not for me - i that I did not find them nearly as comfortable as others apparently do. I've worn these on multiple intercontinental trips - meaning extensive walking at a quick pace through airports and on non-even streets, pavements etc. The first hour or so is fine, but after that they definitely have started hurting - even to the point of giving me blisters a few times. They also seem to make your feet sweat in my experience, although I will add that I've mostly worn them with trouser socks and not athletic or moisture-wicking ones. I also found that the exterior material scuffs VERY easily - which, if you wear a patterned shoe, shows up a lot. In fact, I scuffed mine the first time I wore them :( Bottom line: I don't entirely regret the purchase because they serve their purpose with sufficient adequacy, but I'm not rushing out to buy another pair...

Ordered 39 wide as that size Birkenstock fits me. The Alegria was extremely short. This style does not have the suede finish I expected. Exchanged it for a Yeehaw 41 wide and it fits as well as any shoe will fit my EE feet. Arch support feels so comfortable that I might not have to wear my orthotics with them. Pleased to have a pair of attractive shoes that are not men's athletic shoes.

I wasn't sure about these but once I put them on and walked around in them, I do like them. They are a little on the clunky side but they have good support. I like the fact that they have a removable insole so I can put my heel lift in one shoe under the insole. I normally wear a size 6-6.5 and bought the 36. At first I thought they were a bit big but after wearing them around the house, I got used to them and they were very comfortable. Really like the embossed leather design.

These are cute and I got several compliments on them. They were comfortable until I wore them for an event in which I had to stand for several hours. The bottoms of my feet were killing me afterwards, and I don't think I've worn the shoes since, though I'll probably give them another try at some point.

Very nice looking shoe. I purchased the black embossed rose pattern and the leather is a bit thick and stiff for this pattern style. Otherwise these are very good shoes and I think they will soften up with age.

Just be aware that the little button thing isn't just silver.. it is really "blingy", rhinestones and the like.. a little too much for me..

I really like these shoes! I ordered another pair based on my feelings about these. They are still new and breaking in, so I only rated a 4 for comfort so far. I think thy will break in more soon. I wear an 8.5/9 and ordered the 39. They fit well, but I think if you wear a 9 or 9.5 you would want to size up to 40.

Very, very comfortable. But they looked like clown shoes on my feet. The stitching around the outer shoe just makes them look so wide. I couldn't handle that look.

While the Palomas seemed comfortable and cute, they did not accommodate my custom orthotics well. They have a very thick removable insole that fits into the heel over a slight ridge and when the insoles were removed, that ridge prevented my orthotics from fitting in snugly. I had to return the shoes.

Based on the reviews I expected the shoe to be much more comfortable. It felt too small, the edge put pressure on my bunion and it felt pretty heavy. The footbed is comfy enough, but not enough arch support for an "all day" shoe.

Run small! As some other reviewers have noted, these shoes do run small. So, I ordered 1/2 size larger than normal. But, I'm worried that they may not be long enough to wear with socks. Also, right shoe is tighter than left across the foot (near toes). Not sure if I'll keep these, though they are very cute.

These shoes are adorable. They also, unfortunately, run a little bit short. I am not a 9 1/2, yet, these were too short for me.

Cuter on line than in person. I loved this shoe on the Zappos video, but in person, they are a little clunkier and the sole is very much platform-y. They did feel good on, but for the price, I just wasn't wow-ed. Returning and will probably find something else similar.

I love the wide toe box but I had to return it because the sole is narrower than the shoe top, and I have loose ankles so I am not stable on them. Also, the sole is somewhat slippery, and I need a bit of traction to feel safe.

I usually wear a size 7, and in some shoes a 7.5. I ordered a 37 in the Paloma, and am only able to wear them with socks, otherwise they're too large. I probably should have sent them back, but will keep them for fall. I've tried to wear them with no-show Peds, but the strap hits at an awkward place on the top of my foot and caused a scrape, so socks it will have to be! I'm afraid that ordering down a size may have been too small - not sure.

I like these shoes. They are roomy and for the most part comfortable. The heel could use a little bit more cushioning. The belt is tricky in that it can easily get too tight and cause pain on the top of the foot.

Truly love this style and have several pairs. Be careful to examine stitching of the strap and button. Sending a pair back the first day. Hopefully next pair will be better. Not made as carefully as earlier pairs.

I have a really hard time finding shoes that fit comfortably over the top of my foot, but still give me good support. These shoes are nearly there. I had to order a half size larger than my normal shoe size and I also had to order the wide inserts because they are slightly thinner. I also had to have the shoe stretched a bit over the top of my foot (the velcro strap fits great and adjusts as my feet swell). Once that was done these were the most comfortable shoes I've owned in a really long time. I even ordered a second pair! I only have two complaints: 1) I had to buy the other insert separately. If you buy these in stores, you can request the other insert instead and not have to pay additional $ for it. 2) They only have a few colors available in wide in my size. It would be nice if I could get a sparkly pair.

I have never had this style of shoe before. Comfortable but a little stiff to get used to. I had to order a size larger than usual. The first ones were too short.

I ordered these after reading about them on a site that recommended the best shoes for plantar fasciitis. I wear a size 11 W and was a little leery when I saw that they consider euro 42 as a size 11, as other shoes I have ordered in euro size 42 are just a little short. But I ordered these anyway... Hoping! Alas, my hopes were dashed. While the wide width is perfect, my toes hit the front of the shoes. They are so cute that had they been a little less pricey I might have tried to wear them anyway (though I am pretty sure my toes would have been mad at me!) But sadly, they must go back. Since Zappos doesn't carry this brand in men's shoes, I may go directly to the Alegria website and try a size 43 in some not-too-manly style, just to see if this brand is really good for my plantar fasciitis. But for now it seems I am stuck with my Z-Coils and Crocs ( neither of which are very cute!) And every now and then my beloved Clarks, when the PF allows...

These shoes fit much better then the others I ordered, which were not wide width. I do have one problem with them: they keep digging into the back of my heel. They sit higher on the heel then my Danskos. I have not got a blister but I rotate them with other shoes. My feet do not hurt as much as my Danskos were beginning to. Since I am unable to find Danskos in my size I am having to find an alternative. I am an X-ray tech and on my feet all day so I need good support. So far these are great. I really did not want a Mary Jane look since I am medical and do not want a chance of things getting onto or into my foot/shoe. I wish Zappos had more offers of wide with in in 34 and a closed shoe.

Love these shoes. Just as others had said in ratings, this shoe was adorable and easy to wear right out of the box. I have a bunion and I must say these shoes were the only pair that I've been worn lately that I could spend the whole day wearing.

These are cute shoes. I ordered the Pewter Dazzler. In this brand I am in between a 40 and 41 (size 10). This brand and my foot are not a size match. So unfortunately I will be returning; the arch hits at the wrong spot with 41 too big, and cramped in toe box with 40.

I have tried the Paloma, the Dayna and the Belle style. For each of these styles the toe box was just a little too short. I really wanted to keep a pair, but when my toes touched the front of the shoe when just standing, I knew it would bother me when walking. The styles are pretty and I liked the choices of patterns. If I had just a tiny bit more room at the toe area, I would have kept a pair. I will continue my search as I do like the overall style of the Alegria brand.
