I love Alegria shoes. I have 3 pairs and I wear them constantly. My only complaint is that the hook and loop closures seem to lose their grip over time. I'm not sure this can be repaired but it pains me to spend so much money on? shoes that lose the ability to close around the foot.

Well, okay, these might be adorable in 5-6-7 sizes but in a 10, nope. They looked clunky and heavy, not even slightly feminine. I ordered my usual size and they were too short, by about half a size. I tried them on with thin socks, so, anything heavier would have been torture to my toes. These shoes are beautifully made, great materials, fantastic workmanship, sturdy. If they work for you, you will have them for a very long time. I tried the ones called "Workmanship" and they are black, covered with foil-shiny flowers. Very cute and a very nice toe shape, not pointy. The over-strap fits well, secures with velcro. I was hoping they'd work, but no.

I spent hours trying to decided what size to order in these, and landed on my true size. I'm a 7.5 in all shoes except sneakers (then I'm an 8), and a 38 in Birkenstocks. But I went with the 37 in these after reading that all that most that ordered their true size were happy they had. I was so sad when they arrived and were too small for my liking. My toe is at the very end, and hits the front of the shoe when I walk. I then ordered the 38, and it's a bit too big. I really need a 37.5, but will likely keep the 38, because with the strap Velcroed tight they don't seem to rub and I'm guess my foot will swell when wearing them and being on my feet all day. in the end a 4 over all, because this whole sizing thing has been a pain. A 5 on comfort, because they are the most comfortable thing I've ever had on my feet. A 3 on style, because we all know they're so ugly their cute!

These shoes would have been awesome except that apparently the current Paloma style of shoe is just not made for my foot. I typically wear a 36 and both the width and length were perfect. The problem is that the top of the shoe dug into the top of my foot (below the big toe). There wasn't enough "height" in the toe box for me. I ordered several different pairs of the Paloma and had the same problem with each. This was disappointing as I just wore out a pair of Algeria Paloma, size 36 that fit me perfectly and did not dig in. So something apparently changed in their sizing. I did however, find that the Algeria "Kourtney" worked in the correct size.

I wear a 91/2 wide and these fit me perfectly. I love the comfort! They are a bit duck-like but the comfort makes up for that. If they were certified slip resistant I’d get them for work!

The color starlit looks dark blue in the photo but the shoe is bright dark aqua and very shiny. They are comfortable shoes but the square metal button on the strap is thick and heavy and sharp and catches on things.

Can’t get past the metallic shine. Would be ok with pants but I want something that works with capris for work.

I usually love the Paloma style in Algeria shoes. This shoe, however, is made from rather stiff leather and is not up to the comfort level I've grown to expect from this great brand. I also needed to go up a size because of the stiffness in the toe box. Overall, however, please try the Algeria brand is you walk a lot or need a great work shoe.

I originally ordered this shoe in a 9.5 and it was too tight. I reorder in a 10 and the length was perfect. The cushioning on these shoes are fantastic and I love the way they look, however the top of the shoe (connected to the toe), cuts right across bunions, and I just can't wear. I tried for 2 weeks.

I have plantar fasciitis in one foot, and bursitis in the other, plus a pinched nerve with sciatica issues. So when my job told me that I would doing elbow support for a computer install for 12 hours a night for several weeks, I looked for something that could get me through the night. I decided to try these shoes. I did a slow break in wearing them for a few hours for several days, first starting off wearing them for 90 minutes and then increasing slowly to three hours. However each night I woke up with severe lower leg, index toe arching foot cramps. Upon research, it appears that it might have been to the toe lift (term?) of these shoes. I reached out to Alegeria to ask them for suggestions but the go live was long over before they got back to me. Having no real choice in the matter, I wore these for the go live, but made sure I took them off and did my various P.F. exercises during my breaks. So no more severe lower leg foot cramps occurred. Stlll had some issues with my pinched nerve however it took much longer for the symptoms to show up. Therefore I recommend them with the understanding that you need to do a long, slow break in. Just because they feel like you can wear them for hours when you first get them, do not.

The Wide size accommodated my 70-yr. old's bunions and bunionettes and wide forefoot with a heel that worked for my narrow heels. I want to wear these with nylons or bare feet, so I had to size down from my 39 Classics I wear in the winter with thick wool socks. You have quite a bit of control over the fit with the velcro closures. These 'Frond of You' shoes were the prettiest pattern I could find that I thought would work for summer. They are cute and will work for me with navy or black or white pants or skirts. They are too busy to work with a patterned skirt or dress, so it's good I also have a pair of black Alegria sandals too. I love Alegria shoes. What would I do without them? And Zappos is the best!!

I bought these shoes in two different styles. I want to love these shoes because they are so cute and the arch supports are amazing. However, I'm stuck with $250 worth of shoes I cannot wear. The toe box is shaped really funny and it caused such a blood blister and sore on my toe that I cannot wear them. The dummy in me thought maybe it was a fluke, but both right shoes caused the same discomfort. I can't return something that has blood stains in them. Lesson learned. Sadly, they are awesome style and so darn cute.

These are very comfortable and sturdy. They look a bit quirky as far as shape, and the color is brighter than it seemed in the picture. Overall I’m happy with them.

Great arch support. Very durable. I usually can only wear with tights because the strap will sometimes create a sore spot on the top of my foot.

These may not be the most stylish shoe but they are comfortable. My friends call them my clown shoes. The black was a little too shinny for what I wanted them for. Returned them for a more flat black.

I really like the arch support and comfort of these shoes. But they look too much like Earth shoes so back they go.

While I do love how comfortable these are, I dislike the fact that they only last a year before needing replacement. I wear these for work where I'm often on my feet for 8 hours a day. Around exactly a year after purchasing these the last two years, the Velcro gives out, and a button popped off. I'm going to try danskos. When I'm spending over 100 for a pair of shoes I feel they should last longer. On another note, I love Zappos and will forever be a customer!!!!

I stand all day for work and my feet never hurt. My only gripe is that I've only had these for exactly one year, and they are already in need of replacement. The pair that wore down replaced an identical pair that didn't hold up either, so it's definitely a trend with these. The Velcro will no longer hold, and a medallion fell off today. I feel like for over $100.00, a pair of shoes should last for more than one year. But will probably purchase them again because it's difficult to find comfy shoes for work.

Very attractive/funky shoes. Great quality. But the opening cut right across the ball of my foot where I have a bunion and I don't see how stretching out would help so going back.

Pretty cute, but stiff and unlikely to break-in where I need it to. I ordered a 39W. They felt a hair too long to fit my arch correctly, but the width was good. The sides hit my ankle bone and the back is too high for my foot. These could work well for someone with longer legs (and therefore longer ankles). I'm 5'3" with short legs; these unfortunately don't work for me.

I have a couple pairs of Allegrias. I absolutely love the comfort and style. I have had a pair of Palomas that have held up for years and I still get positive comments about them every time I wear them. I recemtly ordered the Paloma in Gypsy Rose. They are much brighter, shinier than pictured. While I love Allegria patterns in general, this one didn't do it for me. I am returning.

A little dorky looking, and the pattern is too busy to wear with patterned socks. But they are very comfortable so I'm keeping them! I'll need to buy some longer pants to go with them, though.
