Comfy Shoes! I have a wide forefoot and bunions so I'm always looking for a square toebox and extra room. I also walk a lot on city streets so I want a cushy feel. This shoe fit both requirements and has a "mod" look to it. Definitely not dainty, but has a Euro style to it. After a full day at work, my feet were still comfy at the end of the day. No breaking in required! Love it.

These shoes are so comfortable. The have more cushioning than my Danskos, which I really like. They are really cute and versatile. I can wear them with my nice work pants or with a pair of jeans.

Love this shoe. Wear like a pair of sneakers yet very stylish and fashionable. Received lots and lots of compliments. Skull buckle gives it that special designer look.

Love these shoes. Absolutely love them. I have bunions and they've worn a sore spot on my left toe and I was in pain. I couldn't wear any of my shoes and I was in a panic as to what I was going to do. I did extensive research on bunions and wide toe box shoes and comfort and Alegria was listed several times. While browsing Zappos site, I was sidetracked, however, by a pair of Naot's and ordered those, of course being from Zappos they arrived lightning fast and I tried them on, and they just didn't work, I couldn't get the left shoe on my foot. So, again, I panicked as I had to find shoes to wear, right? In desperation, I called Zappos 1 800 number, and the service rep (his name was Carson) was superb as was his understanding. I cringed to tell him about my bunions (I mean, after all, bunions sounds so ' old lady'ish....which I am...so I guess if the shoe fits, right?). Anywho, Carson was wonderful. I told him my concerns and he helped and I finally decided on the Alegria in the Kenya style. Carson, gave me full credit for my Naot's (as the Naot's were more expensive...so I got a credit) and he put the order in for the Alegria Kenya's pronto. That was Tuesday, I got my Kenya's today (Thursday) and I love them. I was so impressed that I just ordered the Alegria Classic as well, because, while the Kenya fits wonderfully (and I'm going to keep them) but my left toe is still sore and the style/design of the Kenya just won't work until that sore spot heals. I think the Alegria Classic design will work much better to wear right away. Zappos is going to be the only source where I'll buy my shoes for the foreseeable future. Their service and selection is superb. I don't do 'malls' anymore, so Zappos is like a dream come true.

I have a wide instep with a narrow heel. Because of this I cannot wear Danskos as the heel is supposed to slip. I have never owned shoes with European sizing and live in a small town where these are not available for trying on. With the free shipping both ways I looked at the European sizing in my tennis shoes which are a 7½ and said size 39. I love the Mary Jane style because the strap keeps this shoe on my foot, without the strap I would probably return the shoe because my heel still slips a bit. I went with the 38 and chose wide width because my feet can swell. They fit perfectly right out of the box. The comfort level has increased as the orthotic conforms to my foot. Heaven in a shoe box!

I love these shoes and the Paloma is my favorite style. Two things though....the sizing chart on Zappos is not the Alegria sizing chart. Please look up the Alegria chart before ordering. That is why people are getting too big of a size. I wear a 37 which is a 6.5 -7. The 38 is a 7.5 - 8. If you go by Zappos chart it would tell me to order the 38. And that would be too big for me. Also, when putting the Paloma's on. Slid your foot all the way back then adjust the strap for a perfect fit. Oh and one and only one complaint. The shoes do tend to squeak after many months of wearing. But that would never deter me. I am addicted.

I was hesitant to purchase shoes online because I have picky feet but very happy with these shoes! Comfortable, true to size and I have had so many compliments. The color leans more to pink than red.

Great shoes--no break in time--and I am on my feet a lot in my profession. They have style with the colors and I have received several compliments!

Like many of your reviewers here, I have had foot surgery, and have never found a shoe I could wear comfortably since. I wear a 9 - 9.5, so ordered the size 39. They were a bit too short, so I contacted Zappos to send them back, and reorder the size 40. I had my replacement shoes the very next day! Great customer service! These shoes were comfortable right out of the box, and I have been wearing them almost every day since. The shoes are usually the first thing to come off when I get home from work, but now I wear these even at home! They have just the right amount of arch support and take the pressure off the ball of the foot and the heel. Gotta get more! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Cutest shoes ever! Alegria shoes are so comfortable! I have 4 pairs now, I love the Mary jane style, just slide your foot in flip the strap over and go, Sox or not! I need the support for my arches and back, they are great! Shoes came very fast, I couldn't wait, Love, love!

These are awsome shoes. When you work 12 hr. shifts and go from building to building @ a prison, you need comfortable shoes that keep your feet happy all the time. I love these shoes. Other nurses and doctors have now purchased them after seeing mine and knowing how happy I am with mine.

Love them! It's my 2nd pair of Paloma's. I wish 2yrs ago that I knew you could buy Wide inserts for them. I purchased separately a set of wide inserts & I love my Paloma's even more now! Who knew. It's hard to find fun shoes that are comfortable to stand in all day.

I absolutely love these shoes. I am on my feet all day as a teacher walking on cement floors. These shoes have great support and fit my slightly wide feet very well. I am looking to purchase another pair.

Wow! First off Zappos got my shoes to me in 36 hours no joke! I got the Alegria Paloma in charcoal patent with skull detail! A little more than I like to pay but I had to have this shoe! They are so comfortable and hope they will help my back.I work in retail and on my feet all day!

Love this shoe. So cute, and so comfortable. My only caution is that I wear a size 9. When the chart converted to Euro size, it was a little shorter (about a half inch) than I would have liked.

I decided to try the Alegria Paloma after I developed bunions (a combination of bad shoes and being on my feet all day as a teacher). These shoes are great!! They were very comfortable right out of the box. The leather on the inside is super soft. I enjoy the rocking motion of the shoe as I walk and I have noticed a reduction in the stress in my back and feet at the end of the day. I also have wide feet for a 7.5 size shoe and these in a regular width were plenty roomy. I plan on buying another pair.

I work retail, and was experiencing foot pain at the end of my shift (diabetes). While my husband was in the hospital, I saw his nurse wearing these, and explained my situation to her - she highly recommended this brand. I have had these for about three weeks now, and pain is gone. A coworker has now ordered herself a pair, too. Best part - the cork footbed can be replaced when needed! And it is available in a wide range of sizes! They are expensive, but well worth the money.

Hands down the BEST shoes ever made! My feet are very happy in these. I wear a full 9.5 in usa size and the 40 fits me perfect!The Paloma style is the best for me as I have a long trim foot. I am a nurse and wear these at work no more tried feet! You eill not be disappointed.Every time I wear them I get compliments and people want to know how to get hold of them. The foot bed is perfect for high arches.Peace!

First time ordering shoes online and I've never tried this brand before. Due to some foot pain (plantar fasciitis) I needed shoes with a cork sole. After searching I found Alegria and decided to give them a shot - with free returns there wasps no penalty if they didn't work. Well, I love them! I can finally stop wearing my Birkenstocks in the snow.

It took me a while to figure out the sizing in this shoe when ordering from Zappos. If you look up standard conversion charts (including Zappos) from Euro to US size, a 39 is an 8.5 but when selecting the size of the Paloma, the size choice says a 39 is a 9 - 9.5. Because of that I assumed there was something different about Alegrias and initially ordered the 39 since I'm a size 9. Nope - I needed a 40 which fits perfectly. So I think Alegrias run true to size but Zappos' size conversion is wrong. I love the toe room in these shoes and they're really cute in a "chunky" sort of way. The insoles are very thick, seem comfortable and are removable. I wear orthotic insoles and add 1 or 2 thin plain insoles under my orthotic to fill the space normally filled by the thick Alegria insole. I bought the Black Magic - quality leather and the button is beautiful.

Loved the style and the design of the the shoe, but the material was so stiff that it would take a long time of uncomfortable walking and blisters to break them in. What a disappointment.

These are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I own. I can easily be on my feet all day long in these, and I cannot say that for many shoes as I have flat feet. I have received lots of compliments on them as well, which is bonus for comfort shoes.

This is a really pretty shoe. The leather is top quality and I like the silver button and the fact that the strap is only one layer of leather. So many straps now seem to go through a clasp and fold back on themselves looking very clunky but not this one. I love all the room for my toes. The insoles are removable but are so thick I had to add a thin insole under my orthotic to help it fit. Ignore the Zappos size translation to US sizes and order a size larger than the web site indicates. For instance, a 39 is not a US 9-9.5 but rather, more of a US 8.5.
