Very comfy. I stand and walk all day for work. I wore all day without any problems. I like the shoes but all of my coworkers said they were ugly.

Really like the style of these shoes. Overall, I would say they are comfortable but they have taken awhile to break in. The sides still run my feet at the end of the day, and it's been a month since I starting wearing them. I frequently get positive comments on their appearance.

Review: I'm highly critical of any purchase, and give credit where it's due. Occupation: Nurse Size: I'm an 8 in everything, and this is true to size. My feet aren't too narrow and aren't too wide. Comfort: Tennis shoes don't cut it on my 12 hour days. Even though I'm small and petite, my feet are super sensitive and do not tolerate many shoes well (hence a poor shoe wardrobe), so no shoe is perfect, but the Alegria Paloma does a very nice job. I never wear the same shoe 2 days in a row for my long 12 hour days. I rotate my Z-coil shoes (which are great as well) with the Alegria Paloma. My Z-coils can hurt my heels, but the Paloma can be irritating to my knees (which is why I rotate my shoes). However, I'm finding that the knee pain is less and less as I've broken them in. My heels and feet feel pretty good in these shoes, however. For others less sensitive, this shoe is great, but I will still need to rotate my shoes for comfort. Right now, I'm happy with my purchase! Look: I love the patent leather look and it looks great with my scrubs. I wear just about anything for comfort, and don't usually care about others' thoughts, but I have received lots of compliments. Despite other reviews on unattractiveness, I think the plain and shiny patent leather styles are nice looking and I plan on purchasing another black pair and a brown pair for my day-to-day shoes for fall and winter. -Happy Alegria Customer

With plantar fasciitis, it's impossible for me to find comfortable shoes. These cute shoes are comfortable as long as I don't have a flare-up. They look better with skirts than my other-only shoes I can wear, Sketchers. They did take a bit longer to break in than I wanted, but by wearing them around the house first, they worked well on concrete. I'm off to London with my granddaugher in July, so I'll give them a real test!

Wow! Love the feel of this shoe on my very painful feet. I have a wide foot and this is still comfortable. The area around the heel does come up high, right under my ankle and I'm not sure if that will be a problem with prolonged wear yet. Also, the pattern I ordered (Black Rose) does not look the same as the photo on the web page. In the photo it looks like green leaves...but what you see is shiny black patent and shiny gold leaves, vines and almost no roses. I'm still debating whether or not to keep them as my daughter says they are the ugliest shoes she's ever seen because of the gold pattern. But I kind of like it. Just be aware that it looks different in person.

The shoe appeared wide but when I tried it on it felt a little narrow. I also didn't understand what all the hype was about in regards to comfort. The fact that the insert is made of cork and memory foam really sold me. However, when I tried the shoes on and walked around a bit they didn't feel any more comfortable than my cheap ole tennis shoes. In my humble opinion, not worth the the price. I'm returning them to try the Alegria Seville's. Thank goodness for free shipping!

These shoes are wonderful for walking. They are too wide for me though I wear a B width. Have to wear very thick socks.

These shoes are so cute! I love the way they look and I get loads of compliments about them. Plus they are still comfy after 8 hours on my feet. I originally ordered a size 10 from the company and they were huge and then I ordered a 9 from Zappos which are slightly small. I wear a 9.5 usually so I can't wear socks with the size 9 but I still love them.

I wanted these to fit so bad. I had been admiring them for the longest time online and finally purchased. They are beautiful but the top digs into foot and super tight. No love for them.

I hope this review helps anyone who is considering using their own orthotics in these. When I tried they made the shoes rub me and cause much pain. I took out the footbed it comes with and yes, it is thick so it causes an issue trying to get my orthotics to work because then the shoe is too baggy. What I do it order a thick insole and put that in in place of the one the shoe comes with. Then I can put my orthotic on top of that and it won't be too tight. Also, I am not able to wear these without socks because the edges of the stiff leather rub against the foot up near the big toe and across the top where the strap goes across. Socks help greatly, even thin ones. Also, to make the strap more comfortable I bought strap cushioning stickers and it makes a great difference. Why go to all this trouble? Well, it's because rocker bottom shoes are very hard to find in a decent look that aren't a sport shoe. Once I finessed them to work for me I can walk miles in them. IF they start to squeek just rub paraffin wax around the inside edges where you insole rubs the leather. Baby powder also works and so does silicone spray inside. You can also cover the bottom of your orthotic with medical taple. Phew! Having bad feet is a real challenge. I don't wear Dansko anymore because even though their clogs have a sort of rocker bottom on them, they are ankle twisters if you step on something!

The Alegria Paloma styles are wide enough, but the toes are too shallow with not enough depth. My toes would have rubbed against the top of the shoe. The heels are too deep for my ankles and I would need a riser pad in the heel if I had kept them. They are rather stiff feeling and would need 'breaking in' which I refuse to do. Returning them.

I was so disappointed that the toe box wasn’t deep enough. My big toe pressed against the top of the shoe. Other than that, the styling was cute and the support and stiff sole that I need were there. The quality seems excellent and I think they would hold up well. Lengthwise and width wise they seem true to size.

This shoe is super comfy and looks cute, albeit wider soles than anticipated. They have a bit of a Frankenstein look, but It's so hard to find cute, good orthopedic shoes I don't even mind that aspect. However, sadly I must return these. I have a bone spur on top of a big toe and the mary jane edge of the toe covering digs in to it, making it miserable. So, if your toe is jacked up like mine, beware. I'm so bummed to return these shoes...

These are incredibly comfortable and the top half are pretty cute, but the soles make these look wide and rectangular. If I were taller, this might work, but as a very short person, these shoes make me look like I'm all feet.

This is the most beautiful shoe I have ever owned! I wanted it to work so bad! But it didn’t. The length was too short for me. On my left foot, the toe next to the big toe got really bruised. Just not enough length in this shoe:(

The shoe is very cute, but the toe box doesn't work for someone with hammer toes, like me. It feels a half to a full size small to me even setting the toe box issue aside.

I wear an 8½. I ordered the 8-8½ and they were too small. The toe was crunched and no way could I wear them with socks. So I ordered the 9-9½, and they were huge. I walked out of them. I have 8-8½ sandals and they are great, but with closed toe shoes there is no Allegria that I can wear. Also the material was so so stiff. I am very disappointed.

Ordered shoe in a wide. It is very stiff leather in the toe box & very shallow (as opposed to tall). Hit right near my toe joint very tightly for being a wide. Wear a 7 -7.5 & ordered a 37. Length was fine but toe box smuched my toes. Shoe looked looked clunky, like clod hoppers or clown shoes. Had to go back.

The shoes are very comfortable and I think they are very cute, but they are incredibly noisy! They squeak like you would not believe. They are so loud that people at work make comments about it. I love how comfortable they are but the noise will make me think twice before buying Alegria shoes again.

These shoes feel great in the toe box and the arch, but I have extra room at the heel, so they slip when I walk. Will have to return them. I'm afraid that a smaller size will be too small in the toe box and my big toe will hit the end. I really wanted them to work but can't figure a way to make them snug at the heel.

Although these shoes are comfortable, I have only owned these shoes 4 months and the left shoe squeaks loud enough for others around me to comment. It is hard to be quiet around patients with these shoes. The velcro straps seem to loosen as I wear them and need re-tightened during the day. Not worth the price in my opinion.

If you are between sizes, size up. Haven't been able to wear it as it pinched my pinkie toe and slight bunion, hence, the mediocre review. I will return for a larger size which I hope will be it!

I tried these on inside my house and they felt fine. I wore them outside a couple more times and they began to hurt kind of like when you have to flex your foot to keep a flip-flop on. Also, the depth of the footbed was too shallow for me and this made me very uncomfortable. I had expensive, uncomfortable shoes. Zappos was so awesome when I contacted them regarding my situation. The rep was friendly and professional. She let me know that I should always try shoes on indoors and that items had to be in original condition to be returned. She also let me know that Zappos would accept the return of my used shoes even in not new condition! Of course, she also let me know that this was a one-time courtesy to show their appreciation of my patronage. I will be careful to stay indoors with my shoes until I have worn them many times now. I will also shop Zappos any time I can. That is what customer service should be! Satisfied customer!

I love these shoes in the midnight garden. Very comfortable. Lots of compliments when I wear them. However, the patent leather in this pattern seems very susceptible to cracking at the stress points. My first two replacement pairs were not manufactured well and there were gaps between the leather and the edge of the sole. The third replacement pair was fine but started cracking at the stress points again after wearing them twice. The shoes are great in terms of comfort but the manufacturer needs to do some more quality and wear testing. I have seen this complaint in other reviews but don't know if it's only the midnight garden pattern or not. As always, Zappos customer service was fabulous in helping me with the exchanges and I did not incur any shipping charges for any of the shoes.
