I'm writing this review 6 months after having owned and used this shoe. I run about 12-15 miles a week and until this pair, I only used Asics Gel Kayanos. These Mizunos have completely transformed how I run! The clever thing about these shoes is that they are very carefully designed to force you to land on your forefoot rather than pound your heels -- the interesting thing is that this is a natural result of the shape of the sole. After years of being a heel-pounder, I now land gently on my forefoot rather naturally. These shoes seem to run half a size small. I'm a solid size 10 and needed 10.5 on these. In case the sticker price is a factor, I would say that if you are a runner, these shoes will change your "running life". They're worth every penny.

These are the best running shoes I have ever owned. I had foot surgery last year, and I wasn't sure I would ever find running shoes that didn't hurt my feet. Well, these should be called Wave Miracles instead. I now run almost daily, with no foot pain. They are kind to those of us with wide feet. They are amazing!

The women's coloring is really bad. I hate pink in my shoes. Especially shimmery, pearlescent pink or hot pink with mesh overlay that looks like fishnets. I made mine black with Sharpie markers. They are also kind of loud literally. The hard plastic bottom makes clacking noise when I run. Although they are not that loud, it is still weird. They are very comfortable and shock absorbing on surfaces like the sidewalk. They are fun to run in, make you bouncier. They kind of remind me of the bicycle with a motor that kicks in when you are going up hill. They are nice to have because they provide ride variation so I get to mix it up a bit, meaning less boredom. Getting cool gear is a big motivator to make me run. So I think that the continuation of my running habit is worth the money.

I am 5'6" 200 pounds, and I have been loosing weight by running/walking, I lost 45 pounds in one year. I got these shoes because I read in "Runners Magazine" that they are the best for large/heavier runners. Well I just got them last week, I ran 30 miles this week, an extra 10, and felt great! My feet are not as sore as with my other shoes, I have plantar fascitis, so far I have not used the inserts and the shoes feel great. My knees and back are not hurting as much as with my other shoes, these are definitely worth every penny of the Big price tag. However if they gets me off my butt and moving I will be getting another pair in six months or so. Oh I also wear them for work! I love them! The size 11 is perhaps a tiny bigger than my other size 11 shoes, but once I put the inserts in the fit is perfect.

I'm a registered nurse always looking for a shoe that allows me to work a 12 hour shift in a busy med/surg unit. These shoes are amazing! I put them on the first time, wore them to work all day and never had one regret.

These are the first pair of running shoes I've purchased in years. When I decided to bump it up a notch and start running, I did some research and found the Mizuno Wave Prophecy. These shoes are awesome. My knees feel protected, no shin splints, and I can actually feel my heel in suspension while running. It's a very cool sensation. They are springy as described. No foot pain. High-tech look. The only drawback for me is I followed the advice of many reviewers and ordered a half size up...big mistake for me. A 9.5 would have been perfect. I have a narrow foot. Anyway, I inserted gel insoles, so now they fit really well. I love running and I love these shoes! They're pricey, but I'm definitely going to get another pair when the time comes.

I have been wearing The Asics Gel Kayano for years and I was very hesitant to try anything new. I love these! Ran 4 miles in them right out of the box, they are awesome! I swear they make me go faster and improve my stride! This is the first time I felt I had to write a review, these shoes are definitely worth a try! Order a 1/2 size up.

These are the most amazing running shoes I have ever owned. I recently visited NYC and made the mistake of not bringing my running shoes. After a day of walking around in my Puma "athleisure" shoes I had the sorest feet I've ever had in my entire life from all the walking around the city. So, I purchased a pair of Puma running shoes and within 2 blocks of walking my feet hurt so bad I immediately returned them and bought these. All I can say is these are amazing! These are the best fitting, most comfortable athletic shoes I've ever owned. The soles are curved like a rocking horse so they kind of propel your feet in a forward motion. Yes, they are expensive, but finding a shoe that doesn't kill my feet is absolutely priceless. Now, when I run I don't have knee or ankle pain like I used to. These are also a really nice looking shoe. They are kind of a cross between hot pink and red. I will never purchase any other brand of athletic shoe!

Move over runners - it's for the working man also. When you're on your feet 12 hours a day it's the shoe for you! Got mine.

First off I would like to say that I am new to running, but not new to being active and working out. I got fitted professionally fitted for running shoes. Imagine my surprise when I ended up wearing a 10! All my other shoes are 8.5. Apparently it is all about where the widest part of your foot is for a running shoe v. length. It has really paid off. These shoes feel amazing. I have really achy feet and a some knee issues. I am still working through those, but these shoes are a big help. They have less rubber/cushion, but still feel very cushioned due to the wave plate. Since they have less cushion they are supposed to last 2 times as long. Since, I love the look and feel - they are worth it. I felt compared to other size 10's they were a little smaller and narrower, which I liked, because I have pretty narrow flat feet.

The Mizuno x10 is absolutely the best running shoes I have ever owned. I was uncertain about paying the price but after Just one day of wearing them it was worth it. I have planter fascitis in my left heel that is extremely painful and kept me from doing any walking or running for the past year but after just one day of wearing these the difference was remarkable. The support and bounce you get is amazing. Today was my first day at the gym with these shoes and I finished an hour of cardio with abslolutely no pain. I definitely recommend them. My feet are narrow and it has been the only shoes that also fits perfectly and the feel doesn't flop. I love the colors but option of colors would be nice.

Mizuno does it again with a wonderful running shoe! I bought these in the pink, grey, black color and they are so cute and comfy! I always wear a 9 in mizunos, but they do feel a tiny bit long. However, I was so anxious to take them on vacation with me I went ahead and kept them.

These shoes are wonderful! Your legs feel invigorated while you run! They shipped right away and I received them by the second day, excellent service! If you wear a size 7 in a Nike Airmax, I recommend a size 6.5 in this brand. I was so impressed I bought another pair. I highly recommend shopping Zappos.com!

They fit me perfectly. I'm a 9 in normal shoes, and a 9 in all 3 prior pairs of Mizuno. Plenty of toe room. Worn 3-4 times and in love. Non-scientifically, I'd say you can get the same run in for 5% less work. Which means do the same work and get 5% better results. As I build up my mileage this fall I can imagine these will make life easier and take the edge off nicely. They are a little noisy as someone mentioned, but not distracting or terrible, and I might not have noticed had I not read the review.

Oh yeah. I wanted to give comfort 4 stars because feels like my feet are slanted downhill. The heel is so high. That is good when running uphill but makes downhill steeper.

"This shoe rocks!" Purchased 4 different shoes for running. I'm 39 and am rehabbing a broken metatarsal with arthritis in forefoot. These shoes are perfect for me. They feel as though they were made for me. They're light, comfortable, ergonomic, a lot of cushion and spring. The 4 shoes are: brooks Glycerin 8, Pearl Izumi SyncroFuel, Biom Natural Motion and Mizuno Wave Prophecy. (I kept the Mizuno's. They're more than worth the money.)

These shoes are amazing. I had knee surgery four years ago and had pain running every time after the surgery. Until these shoes, that is. They are at once incredibly light and incredibly supportive. Worth every penny.

Holy Hell! I LOVE these shoes! I am 4 months pregnant, and already plus-sized. I wear these shoes ALL day long, they support my arches , heels, and toes like nothing else. They ARE worth the investment! If I wear sandals instead of these shoes, my feet are always swollen by the end of the day. The Mizuno Wave prophecy's have saved my life. I have been exceptionally pleased with them! Get them- you wont regret it! I bought them just a 1/2 size larger than my "regular" size and they fit perfectly, a FULL size larger would have been TOO big- as some others have suggested.

Love these shoes, they do run a little small so you may need to go up a half size. Really helps take shock off of your knees when you jog. I will buy these again.

I am 55, have been a runner most of my life, at least up until an injury occurred while running/slipping on scree. After that it was one problem after another: Irritable Bowel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, tendinitis on top of my foot (I have extremely high arches) arthritis and finally morton's neuroma on my right foot - which my podiatrist recommended I have surgery for. I declined, afraid that could cause further problems. I decided that I would just have to give up running, and stick with walking. However every so often, when I just could not fight the impulse, I would have a go at running a few miles, always ending up with some pain. Then about six or more months ago I found these shoes and decided to give them a try. Yes, they were expensive, but to me it was worth the expense to try. Hallelujah! I am running again - well slogging - as my time is now only a 9:30 mile, but I am moving, and without pain, 3-6 miles a day presently! These shoes are ideal for my feet, wide/roomy in toe box, narrower in heel (though not quite narrow enough, but better than any other style out there that I have tried, aside from maybe Saucony) and they provide Superb cushioning. I run on road and trail and I love these shoes. If I had had these shoes all along, I do not believe that I would have encountered so many problems in the past. At any rate, after running pain free in these shoes for a few months, I went ahead and ordered a second pair - afraid that Mizuno might change something in Prophecy design - which I rotate everyday. (Please Mizuno, do not ever change design, unless it is to narrow the heel some and update with some brighter colors :) I totally recommend these shoes!

I love this shoe! I have a knee injury and a herniated disk and I didn't want to have to give up running. It alleviates so much pressure. I never had to break it in, never had any blisters, and a week after I bought them ran a marathon. I think this is the best shoe for runners with any previous injuries.

I have a few sports injuries and have recently started working out - and some what getting into running. These shoes are amazing and a sincere investment. I appreciate the fact that I can walk in something and not feel the bones in my feet touch the concrete. Or jump up and down and not feel the pressure on my lower back. I suggest these to anyone, even my grannie. These are the bomb!
