These are just so huge your feel slip around in them. Your foot does not even touch the top or sides they are so large. I would not recommended these

This shoe out of the box was too big all the way around for me. I may consider going from a 7 to a 6. I 'm not sure. Right now they are going back.

I'm going to give these one more try, if only because I so love my first, now-ancient pair of clogs. I wear a EU 40 in everything. Always. So I ordered a 40 in this clog - huge, absolutely huge. Sent them back and ordered a 39. Still huge, just much too big even to try to get away with with bulky socks. And for this money, you want a shoe that fits. I'll try the 38. If those are also too big, I'm giving up, with regret - I really love my old pair.

I have 2 pair of GZ Classic Grizzly's. 1st pair size 45 fit perfectly. A year later (after falling in love with this shoe's classic feel, warmth, and comfort) I purchased another pair in the same size, and there was no comparison in the cut height or size, and I'm only able keep them on my feet by wearing extremely thick heavy socks.
I took them back to my local high-end retail shoe store, where we methodically began testing and trying other pairs of 44, 45, 46 sizes, but none of them fit. In numerous cases the 44 was too tight, and other attempts we both arrived at zero confidence relating to a reliable size to correct fitting.
I requested a direct contact from the retailer with a Haflinger, Rep./ broker/importer, and shared with her our findings and was advised by her; "because the upper half of the shoe is wool and hand fitted and cut ... that we should expect size variations".
I have solid lifetime experience in manufacturing and quality control. I too recognize "lack of control" in manufacturing processing. There is absolutely no forgiveness nor acceptance in today's world-class manufacturing situations that these shoes too can't be produced to the world's standards in correct reliable shoe sizing.
As it turns out the Haflinger (this) rep. had not a clue to manufacturing quality control processes. That's unfortunate, because when these shoes fit correctly they are the most comfortable shoes. With the strength and the volume of online sales of Zappos and others, I too ... am hugely surprised that the world's shoe retailers are not holding Haflingers feet to the fire to fix this company's less than casual concerns relating to quality sizing issues. I too suspect that retailers around the world can confirm a higher rate of returns relating to incorrect sizing for this Haflinger product.
I'd also recommend:
I know of know other brand of this style of shoe that compare to the Haflinger when it is proper
