I am a size 8, an 8 1/2 in sneakers. The first pair I bought was supposedly an 8, and they sent a 39, which was huge. I ordered a 7 and they sent a 38 which was a full size too large. It doesn't make sense that they offer a range of two European sizes for each American size without offering a choice. If I order a sze 6 will I get a 35 or a 36?

These shoes were recommended for my sore feet. I usually wear a size 6 1/2 in a medium width. I sized down to a 6 as recommended. These shoes are VERY WIDE! May foot would not stay in them when I tried to walk. I will need to return them.

I normally wear a size 6.5 or 7 depending on the style and brand. I wanted clogs that I could wear with heavy, thicker socks so I ordered a size 7. These were way too big for me even with heavy socks. My granddaughter wears a size 8 and they fit her with socks - too long without socks. So, rather than returning them I gifted them to her. The arch support was comfortable and the wide toe width was good for me as I have bunions.

I have worn halflinger grizzly for decades. Always wore a 38. Got a new pair of 38’s and the size is at least 1/2 smaller than my old 38’s. Width was ok. So, I got a 39. The length is ok now but the width is way too wide. Halflinger has really gone downhill. The grizzly used to be such a dependable shoe. I need a high arch support. Grizzly always did that. I would not recommend these shoes anymore.

I love this brand & have worn them for decades. Unfortunately these were way too short. All my toes were crammed at the end. Returning them. I wear size 11/42.

The shoes are great around the house after a few weeks they stretched out one and half size too big. I could not get these shoes to stay on and I walk out of them. I don’t feel safe on the stairs and I am afraid I will fall.

I wish more companies would stop saying EU 36 is a US 5. It really isn't. I typically wear a 5.5, but thought I'd try the EU 36 because it said it was a 5, already suspicious it might run big. I was right. I was sorely disappointed. They were huge on me, unwearable even with thick socks. And there's no smaller size nor does it appear there is a children's version, so my loss. I wish the sizing was accurate!

Too wide for my foot....falls off when I go up and down stairs.

The molded footbed is exactly what I want, but this slipper is too wide and floppy for me, so it's hard to walk around in it. The looseness also means that my foot shifts forward and my toes hit the toe box.

I have been wearing haflinger for 20 years and this is first time I had to return them due to poor quality and comfort. They feel more rock hard and narrow. Please bring back old design.

I’ve been wearing these as my “house shoes” for over 10 years in different versions, but as of the last few years the quality has changed for the worst. Typically a pair would last at least a couple of years with normal wear, now, not even six months before they completely break down. It’s super disappointing because they’re comfortable, but for the price I’ll be switching back to Birkenstock’s. Zappos was really great about replacing a pair that failed shortly after my purchase, however, it’s inevitably on Haflinger to make improvements to the quality of their product. What a shame.

So I have worn these clogs since my 33-year-old was a baby. I get a couple new pairs every couple years. Zappos always has these and at a great price! But the sole came off of these after about two weeks of wear, so i am concerned about how well they will wear. But Zappos sent a call tag with no issue and the new ones arrived before the defective ones were even sent back. Fingers crossed that these are better!

Unfortunately one shoe was much bigger than the other. I love Haflinger's and will order another pair. Hopefully this is a one-off .

Love these but are way too wide with no way to adjust them. I had to return, sadly.

Absolutely ridiculously sized. Way way way to big. ordered a half size down and is still way to big. I don't know if these are comfortable or not but if you can't even accurately predict what size you wear why even bother ordering. waste of time money and energy. Just skip, move along and look elsewhere.

Only had for about a month and the trim is already coming off. Also run small.

I wanted to like these, I have other wool shoes and they are so comfortable for our Idaho winters. I wear a 5.5 and ordered the smallest size 36 I found that they were too wide and sloppy on my feet.

I received the wrong size and wrong style completely. Not even close to what I ordered.

These are soooo NOT comfortable. I can't believe they cost $130.00. For that price I was expecting an extremely comfortable shoe but that's not the case at all. I don't know how these shoes got such high reviews; there something I don't know that everybody else know?

I will never buy another pair of Haflinger's again. I bought these in gray. After a year, the cork sole broke down and cracked. Now, 2 years in, the sole has broken down even more. I need to replace them with something else. I only ever wore them inside and the bottom outsole wore completely down in areas to where you could see the cork on the bottom. For the money, these should last a lot longer. Not worth it.

This is my 2nd pair of Haflinger slippers that I've purchased in 6 months. They are both made terrible and separated from the sole in the same place. I bought the 2nd pair, thinking after i have heard such wonderful things about workmanship and comfort, that this was a fluke with the 1st pair. Perhaps there has been a change in manufacturing / quality compared to the superior quality Haflinger was for years and years.

This is the second time Ive ordered this type of shoe and both times Ive had to return them. They run at least one size larger than you order.

I am reviewing the Haflinger Grizzly clogs. After wearing Haflinger for 15 years I bought my recent pairs which differ dramatically from previous Grizzlys in the material of the sole. The older version was black, durable, comfortable. The new version is tan, blending its color with the cork. The problem is the these are not the same material as the black sole. Older clogs lasted me over 8 months wearing indoors for about One and a half hours per day. I am 5 feet and weigh 100. Therefore, the change in the sole over merely 4 weeks is clearly not due to undue weight or stress on the sole. I tried 3 different clogs all with the same cork colored soles. Each of them wore down at the heel within 4 weeks. This is not the cork -- but rather the tan colored sole. Further, the black soles had engraving on the bottom that helped against sliding. The cork colored soles are shaped like multiple waves on an ocean. The result is significantly more pronating and supinating and more sliding. The worst part is that they wore down within such a short period. Also, notice the different in depth between the black and tan soles: If you visually look at the older black soles they are quite obviously close to twice as deep. Thus, the thin tan soles are quite obviously visually different in depth. I won't be wearing Haflinger clogs in the future. It's very disappointing since I've always loved the old tried and true ones with black, strong, durable soles.

I returned the 39 and ordered the 38, even though my normal size is 39. But I had to return these, too, because they were much wide. I wanted so much for them to be right?
