These are contenders for the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. This is my second pair - they do start to break down after four years or so. I wear them inside only, as house slippers. I over-pronate something awful, and have high arches that collapse whenever I go barefoot. These shoes provide excellent arch support. Putting them on after a day at work in less comfortable shoes is like heaven. They are comfortable all year round. Only on the very hottest days do they feel too warm. They are expensive but totally worth it, and if you can get them on sale you should buy two pairs. Only four stars for style because there's just no getting around the frumpiness. But I adore them and I anticipate wearing Haflinger felt clogs for the rest of my life. If you over-pronate and need good firm arch support, I highly recommend them. And of course Zappos service is outstanding. Ordered these on Saturday night, realized immediately I'd sent them to the wrong address, called and the customer service rep fixed the problem immediately, and I got the shoes Monday evening, a day earlier than promised. I don't know how they do it.

I use to wear these and decided I wanted to start wearing them again and I knew that Zappos would have them. Comfortable on my sore feet, need wide toe box and have bunions. Very, very comfortable and warm, too.

Super support! I bought these as replacements for my Haflinger rubber-soled slippers. These have much better support than the actual "slippers" -- as good as Dansko's or Chaco's, but the wool and the cork make them very comfortable as house slippers.

This is a vastly superior wool clog to the pair I had previously by Stegman. Thicker wool felt. Walkable sole, thick cork, excellent last. I wear with medium weight and hiking weight wool socks. Comfortable as a slipper but much more functional. Not wet condition footwear.

I have had two pair of Haflinger Classic Grizzlys for several years and was so happy to find them on Zappos. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 shoe, but my other Haflingers are a 7, so that's what I ordered. They are a perfect fit and so comfortable and easy to slip on. Love them.

These are not the most stylish shoes, but they make up for it in comfort. I bought these for my new all about the town with a dog leash in one hand and coffee in the other. They are user friendly, weather friendly and most definitely feet friendly. They provide fantastic arch support which has given my poor pinched toes a much-needed breather. Although they are a bit frumpy, they are not so bad on the eyes with a great pair of skinny jeans. If you are in between sizes, go up. I am 7½-8 and got the 7-7½. They are a little cramped, but I assume they will give, over time.

I love the Classic Grizzly. They are comfortable and give great foot support, but within two months, a hole forms in the felt over the big toe. I've ended up putting duct tape on the inside and outside to prevent a large hole from forming. I wish they could come up with a solution to this problem. It's happened with all three pairs that I've owned.

This is husband's second pair of Haflingers purchased on podiatrist's recommendation to help with arthritic foot pain. They are house slippers that he wears year round because they're comfortable and do the job. We didn't choose them for their looks. I guess his relatives left Scandinavia too long ago for that clog wearing gene to surface, even in a 70+ year old.. Trolls are cute.

I first saw a lady at the nail salon wearing these shoes and asked her about them. She had been wearing them for seven years. I ordered this very shoe about a month ago and I have had it on almost every minute of every day. I thought I had comfortable shoes before but they don't compare to these. I even wore them for a walk and they were better than my walking shoes. I have since ordered another pair and a pair of their slippers. Could not be happier and will continue to buy and wear these. They are a 10+.

love these shoes. This is my fourth pair warm in winter cool in summer.

I bought these last December. Eight months later, the front of the sole on the right shoe has detached from the cork layer. I had a previous pair of these that I wore for six years (indoors only) and I finally wore out the sole and needed a new pair. Haflinger's quality has badly slipped since then. Caveat emptor!

My third pair... wonderful support!! However the color is MUCH lighter than it appear on screen. More like a sand color. Hopefully my picture helps.

Love this shoe! Keeps my feet nice and warm and footbed not as harsh as my old Birkenstocks. They are breaking in nicely and I've ordered another pair.

Eight months pregnant and loving the shoes. I ordered these when I was 6 months pregnant because I found it hard putting on other shoes. They are easy to put on and can be worn barefoot or with thick socks. Arch support is great. They are super comfy, cozy, and I am very happy with this purchase. Great for swollen feet and moms-to-be.

These shoes are a little funny looking but actually kind of cute with jeans that are a tad long. What I can attest to is that they are fantastic on comfort and support for people with foot trouble or overpronators. They are toasty warm with socks in the winter and not at all hot in the summer without (they are wool so they actually breathe). They don't require much break in because the soles are also lined with felt and they mold perfectly to you foot over time. I have 5 pair in varying states of wear, my oldest have holes in the felt and have worn down to cork on the bottom - they are my schlepping shoes. Also, if you spill on them they are easy to clean up and very resilient. I love these shoes and you will too.

I love my Zappos. I have a hard foot to fit. Zappos gave me the option of returning several pair before I found the best fit for me.

This is my second pair of Haflingers. After having plantar fascitis, I do not walk around the house barefoot and use these as a daily slipper/house shoe. My pair is 2 years old and has a tear in the wool at the inside base where my foot is the widest. Wish they would last longer but they are wool not leather. I wear an 8.5W and the size 40 fits fine.

I love these "slippers." I have owned 4-5 pair, and wear them every single day. They have helped my feet, and my back -- don't know what I would do without them! They cost a little more than similar brands, but it is well worth the cost!

I love my new Haflingers and my twin sister, Judi Cloutier, loves hers also. We always know we can go to Zappos to find what we need in shoes and get excellent online and personal customer service.

I was looking for a shoe to wear around the house that had more support than slippers. This shoe is perfect for that. The style is fine, but very casual and to me, more appropriate as slippers than as shoes. They were a tiny bit uncomfortable at first, but now that they're broken in, they are very comfortable.

I received this as a Christmas gift 2 years ago, one of the best gifts ever! I live in these in the fall and winter months but I pretty much only wear around the house, rarely outside, though. I think they can be worn outdoors. I will definitely purchase another pair when these wear out; they are worth the price to me. I have been ordered by my doctor to wear some sort of shoes at all times due to my high arches and overpronation. If you are looking for comfy shoes to wear inside or out these would be a great choice!

I love these shoes! They have terrific arch support & last a long time. I use them as indoor slippers due to plantar fasciitis. The felt does shed, though not enough to affect the integrity of the shoe, but just enough to have to pick up off the carpet every so often. They also run a bit small, but then stretch out slightly after continued use. If you any kind of foot issues, or want to avoid developing any, I would recommend these shoes.

In 1995 I bought the first pair and have enjoyed the comfort, great support and warmth every winter, without socks. Finally replaced them, and size 39 fits my 8.5-9 foot a tad snug for the first couple times I wear them, but now stretching out to that great familiar comfort. Love these in navy with the same trademark braid.

I was looking to replace my very old Haflinger clogs that I used as slippers and accidentally bought the clogs in the slipper section. They had very little support, so I had to return them. I thought to search under the brand name, and voila! I ordered 2 sizes and ended up keeping both: the 39 for my right foot and the 38 for the left! I think that's my feet, not the clogs. Like all clogs, these are not tight fitting, so while they might be wider than I'd expect in a traditional shoe, they are what I would expect in a clog.

These are great shoes...but in recent years they have changed something and the foot box has become way too wide and tall, especially for a woman's foot. In an attempt to provide unisex shoes, and I am guessing as manufacturing has moved from Germany to other locations...size seems to vary greatly even within a style/shoe. A size 39 will be perfect first time, but year later 39 is too large...very inconsistent as other reviewers have noted. My wife used to wear a 39 comfortably in this shoe and now a 39 is WAY too large in foot box and in length. She also used to wear a 38 in another style (AT Hardsole) over the last 6+ years, but now a 38 is too small, and the 39 is too big. When you try to size down for a smaller foot /toe box, the shoe becomes too short for ladies. My only suggestion is to order multiple sizes and try them on...and then return the no-fits. Suggestion to Haflinger....please make more of your shoes gender specific (Mens and Women's) and sized accordingly. These are truly 5 star shoes....but currently with some sizing challenges that did not used to exist.
