My entire family loves Halflingers but I'm 99% positive that the pairs sold on Zappos are knock-offs, or the company moved its manufacturing to a new place and quality has severely declined. The quality of the slippers is just awful. I've had 3 pairs of them from Zappos in the past 2.5 years and returned them all - the stitching comes undone, the felt comes unglued from the cork soles, among other problems. Buyer beware!!!! The photos here are of a pair that are less than 1 year old.

I ordered size 42 (9 U.S.) so that I could wear heavy winter socks. For 15 years I have done this and bought 41 to wear with thin socks. 41 is my size for Birkies, also. My new pair arrived and is so small that I can't get even get my bare feet in them. I noticed that a buyer in WI had had these before me, and perhaps he returned them for the same reason. The size is completely wrong, despite the embossed size on the sole. They are 3-4 sizes smaller than marked.

I have had at least 5 pair of these in my adult life and they are PERFECT as house shoes in my old, wooden floored home all year around. They are cozy with socks in winter and easy to slip on.

With working from home indefiniately, I needed house shoes that I could just slip on and off. But require support due to planter facetious. I put these on from the box and have worn them daily since. They are warm, but not too hot where my feet sweat, are comfortable in socks or barefoot and are wide enough in the toe box. I know they are expensive, but they will be worn daily for years. I am a Dansko wearer and I like these even more! I bought the same size as Dansko and they fit similarly in size.

I got these as a gift for my husband and he instantly loved them. The sizing is the same as his Birkenstocks and the width about the same, too. They are made of quality materials and sound construction. The accents add a smidge more style. The grey is a handsome color.

These shoes were exactly what I was looking for, for my husband's Christmas gift. The size, color and style were what I ordered and they arrived in a very timely fashion.

Great slippers. I bought a pair as a gift to replace the exact same pair that had been worn in the house for a few years. Warm, but not sweaty, easy to put on and off, and generally neutral styling.

Terrific clog -- comfortable, not a sweaty shoe but warm nonetheless. Good grip for wet winters.

These felt a little too small for my husband. They don't come in half-sizes, and he needed an 11 on one foot and a 10 on the other so we had to get two pairs and mix and match. But they are extremely comfortable, durable, the width feels right to him, and they provide excellent support. So 5 stars overall but they do seem to run small.

I am looking to buy a replacement pair of these shoes because I loved them so much. After at least 8 years, I wore holes in my old ones.

These were recommended to me before I got pregnant but I wasn't sure I wanted them. I bought these last month (while 8 months pregnant) and literally have been living in them ever since. My feet were hurting quite a bit before I bought these, but now my feet feel so better. I wear them morning until night, even out of the house. I don't know what I would have done without them!

Shoes fit perfectly. Replaced a pair that I have totally worn out. Great to wear indoors or outside.

This is my second pair of these great indoor/outdoor shoes. I just love, love, love them! Super comfy indoor slippers in all but the warmest months, they are also fine for short, casual trips around town. Also superb for travel and easy slip off and on at security, warm cozy comfort on the plane, then you also have a pair of slippers along at your destination. What could be better? Very well made, mold to your foot over time. A little pricey, but worth it IMHO.

These shoes are warm, roomy and comfortable. With my high arch I need good support, and I can walk long distances without getting achy feet.

I have had these exact clogs for 14 years, and they are still the most supportive shoes I own. I have two pairs and just ordered the same clog with a different design on it to try out! I recommend these to anyone who wants comfortable long lasting shoes! I will say I wear an 8.5 and in these I wear a 38 - they run a bit big!

These wool clogs are the best! I live in them from October to April. Comfortable and warm, they're homey enough to wear as a house slipper but also presentable enough to wear in public as a casual street shoe. As soon as I come home from work, the dress pumps come off and these come on!

Love this shoe! Wore it to school all day and it was great. However, I ordered a size 37 instead of the 38 that was listed for my shoe size (7) upon advice from other reviewers.

Having foot "issues" for 30 years I was so pleased to find these. The cork sole truly molds to your foot giving comfort even after a nine hour day on your feet. I just wish the sole was a little thicker...I tend to walk off the outside heel of any shoe quickly so if you added an 1/2 inch to the sole I wouldn't have to replace so often.

Very, very comfortable. No more achy feet! This is my second pair. My only complaint is that my first pair only lasted one year. The sole came apart from the wool but the comfort can't be beat! This pair seems better constructed.

I am a frequent clog and mule wearer. I wear a 7.5-8 and need a wide width in most shoes, but not all. My foot slipped out of the 38's with each step, while wearing lightweight socks. It confounds me that no other reviewers had this problem. The length was perfect though. Very good looking and not clunky. Cute in grey, amazing support, but can't wear.

I typically wear a 39 in Birk shoes and 40 in Danskos because I have one foot that has a higher instep and I tend to "choke" that foot if I order the size that is closer to the length of my foot. I was disappointed in the shallow or low instep clearance in this shoe. Even thin socks are too much... Barefoot works, but really?

I have had these shoes for 14 months. They are very comfortable but they wear poorly. I only wear them indoors as slippers and the sole is coming unglued at the toe and holes are wearing at the big toe area. This is my second pair and I had these problems with the first ones as well. I plan to look for another brand that hopefully will not wear out so quickly. So disappointing because they offer great support.

I bought these slippers around Christmas last year. My previous Haflinger's had lasted maybe six years. Last month I noticed a huge hole around my big toe! These slippers are only worn inside the house - and only for an hour or two each day! I am very upset about this. This is a lot of money to pay for slippers if they are going to fall apart this easily. The reason I buy Haflinger is that I need support in my bedroom slippers, and that is hard to find in a house slipper. The quality is usually very good and I find these slippers to be very comfortable. My nails are clipped by the podiatrist regularly. I can think of no good reason this happened - I don't have dogs or cats and I live alone. I think this is totally unacceptable and I won't be buying this brand again. I'm sorry to leave such a negative review, but it is the truth.
