There is a seam down the middle of the upper, and it is true that I am way too sensitive to seams/tags/irritations, but it makes them really uncomfortable to wear barefoot. I can wear them fine with socks, but first thing in the morning, which is when I want to put them on, they are uncomfortable, and I didn't realize this until I'd worn them all day WITH socks, so now I can't return them which is a bit of a bummer. If you are a sock wearer, they are great. Or if the top of your foot is impervious to irritation.

I have purchased this slipper a few times and each time I get holes in the fabric in the toe area.

Did nrtot wear well at all. Stated to fall apart within a couple of weeks.

Can't figure out why people think these are comfortable. The trim on the upper is stiff and hard; the heel counter is a dumb little piece that does not hold your heel in -- and it's stiff too. Oh well.

This pair lasted less than a month without getting a hole in the toe. Some kind of record!

Comfortable, but quality lacking. It only took a week or so to break these in and they are super comfortable, but the insole is now sliding around a bit and doesn't like to stay in one place...and this is only after 3 months. I do wear them daily and the wearing socks helps control the insole, but I'm still a bit disappointed in this, considering the price.

I bought these for my gf who has high arches, which this was recommended for, and I got a size bigger than she normally wears, but the shoe opening was not big enough interfering with allowing her to fully slide her foot in. Instead I went to a shoe store that sells Haflingers and they suggested the cork bottomed shoes which fit her just fine having to go one size smaller. If you have high arches, get the cork bottomed version instead.

I have narrow feet, yet I had to stretch these slippers for a week before I could wear them. And they leave scuff marks everywhere. One reviewer says that goes away after a few months. Nope. Had these for about 5 months and still cleaning up black marks off my wood floors. Expected better for the price.

Well I wrote a review shortly after receiving my Haflingers and gave them five stars. Unfortunately less than three months later I am forced to post again and drop to two stars due to the fact that they are starting to fall apart. The hem around the upper has split at the heel and is progressing around the entire hem leaving them tattered and unable to offer any support. I have bought slippers from Walmart at a tenth the cost of these that have lasted longer. That is very disappointing, I will be returning my business to Ugg whos slippers are more comfortable and can at least manage a year of use.

I tried ordering sizes 40 and 41, to see which would fit better. The 41 was about the right length, but slightly too wide. The 40 was slightly too short -- but strangely, it was even wider than the 41. I don't know whether Haflinger's sizing is always this inconsistent, but I'm reluctant to take a chance on them again.

Do not buy unless you wear your slippers sparingly. These wear out in under a year. I bought these last May (2015). I wear slippers every day after I come home and on the weekend. I don't normally wear slippers outside either (just a jaunt to the mailbox maybe once a month). After 4 months the insole top surface was pulling away from the main soul; annoying but I could deal. I now have about 9 months on them and I've worn a hole in the toe and through the bottom of the slipper. I've never had slippers wear this bad (Acorn and LLBean being my prior pairs). Slippers should last 2-3 years the way I wear them, not less than one. I'll now hit the positives. 1. Buy them to the your equivalent euro size for best fit. 2. They have a decent arch support (the main reason I bought them). 3. They are very comfortable once they break in for a week.

I bought these on the recommendation of my podiatrist, who said I should wear them all the time in the house to help with my chronic plantar fasciitis. They do have good arch support and are very comfortable (though not really my style), and I have been dutiful about wearing them, even toting them along to friends' houses. Now, 11 weeks later, both slippers have holes in the top at the ends of my big toes.

I bought these to wear as my house shoes since we have wood floors. The support is terrible, and they are not sturdy shoes. The sole is mushy. Not at all what I expected from a Haflinger.

Had these slippers for 8 months. Both slippers have holes above the big toe. Very disappointed in them and no warranty. Not to mention I spent a lot on a pair of house slippers.

My husband loves the comfort and style of these slippers. However, I doubt we will purchase them again. This pair is less than a year old. The heel area wore and I have had to sew holes that opened up in the toe area twice. We will have to find another quality slipper that has a longer life than these.

Runs 1 full size small. Very nicely done however a warning: shoe has abnormally high arch, I tried two pairs. I have high arches and never, ever had a shoe with too high an arch before. I do not believe these would recommended by any podiatrist/ortho as high arch support can cause foot problems.

Holes formed at the toe after only 2 months of wear around the house. Disappointing for such an expensive slipper. Will never buy this brand again.

I ordered a 39-40 size 9. I got a 38 in a 40 box! Needless to say, I need the right size.

Love wearing these things but have had them for only 7 months and they developed the dreaded (and seemingly common) hole above the toe area. Clearly a design defect.

I've worn Haflingers for years. Their fit, comfort, and arch support satisfies and even surpasses my expectations for keeping my body supported while wearing a slipper. The hard sole pushes it over the top, providing indoor-outdoor ease. Unfortunately, the quality just isn't what it was. Do not expect your Haflinger slippers to last longer than 8 months before holes appear at the big toe area on the top of the slipper. To be clear, my feet are normal if not, narrow, women's size 7. My big toe is not unusually long. In fact, my feet are in perfect proportion and, frankly they are beautiful. I have not found a comparable slipper option that has the arch support of Haflingers. I wear the slippers with the hole. They can last for a while, just not so pretty. When I first purchased this brand over 20 years ago, my slippers lasted for 10 years! Maybe not 10 but a very long time and without holes. It really is a shame. The hole in the slipper is like a gaping wound in the integrity for making a decent pair of $100 slippers that will last at least a year.

These are well-made slippers with a nice arch support but expensive. Sadly, a "big toe hole" has appeared (see photo). Since I live in the desert in the US, I only wear slippers for maybe 3 months out of the year. At the price I paid, these slippers should have lasted years, not one winter season.

These are not worth the price. Normal wear a few hours a day and they wore out in a year. The sole didn't wear out but the top material did and they looked horrible, full of fuzz and fabric thinning.

HORRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL! Received worn slippers! No tag attached, tissue paper thrown in box. Slippers had clearly been worn and returned. I contacted the company via email and got a ridiculous response of "Sometimes things don't work they way they're expected..." What a joke of a response. How about admitting fault and apologizing for delivering nasty, worn slippers? Then they refunded me all except for the $5 in taxes. Of course I disputed this with Amazon, who is currently handling it on my behalf. I will NEVER order anything from this company nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. (I wonder if they'll even let this review go thru)
