The slippers will be super tight when you first wear them, but give them time. They stretch to true-to-size after a few days' wear. At that point, they are fantastically comfortable, and they retain just the right amount of heat to keep my feet warm but not sweaty.

My husband has always loved these slippers. They mold to his feet for extra comfort. The hardsole allows him to get the newspaper outside even if it is raining.

I was skeptical at first, but took the plunge. Returned first pair because needed larger size - they do run a full size smaller than marked. Once I put them on I was hooked. These are without a doubt the best and most comfortable slippers I have ever owned. Worth every penny. I tell everyone I know how great these slippers are. They felt a little snug at first but after a couple of days they conformed to my foot shape. I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful these slippers are. Best on the planet.

These are fantastic! They have good arch support, are not ugly (!), and appear to be well-made. A steep price, but worth it (at least for me).

I've worn Haflinger slippers for many years and have given them as gifts to family members, but had never bought any for my husband. He likes to buy his own things, but kept putting off buying slippers. I knew he would like the hardsole. I took a chance and got them for him and now it is difficult to get them off his feet when he is home. My husband has flat feet and very bad arthritis in one of them. So I was a little concerned about how he would adjust to them. Obviously they are working out just fine. As another reviewer mentioned, the hardsoles do initially leave an occasional black mark on hard wood floors, but this is easy to erase and I rarely see a mark anymore. In my view you can't go wrong with a Haflinger slipper -- they adjust to your feet, provide support, and never make your feet sweat.

These are the most awesome inside out slippers. I purchased for my husband 7 years ago and finally had to order him a new pair. I ordered a pair for my son too and the womens style for me. Love them.

I was recommended these by http://thewirecutter.com. After reading their in depth review and watching my girlfriend walk around our cold apartment floor, I had to give em a shot. They are super comfortable with socks, and little less so without. They keep feet very warm without sweating. Seem durable so far. Would recommend. I actually ended up picking up the brown paid for myself. I look forward to putting them on :) The seem to run a size small, so I ordered a size up. However that was mostly because I wanted to wear them with any pair of socks, regardless of thickness. In hindsight, it's likely they would have stretched to be only a half size small.

This is my 3rd pair of Haflinger AT Classic Hardsole slippers and I love them because they have good support, warm, no slip bottom!

I wanted slippers with hard soles (so I can step outside occasionally) that my feet don't sweat in (like all my other cheap slippers). The boiled wool does the trick and doesn't itch. Plus they stay on even when I go up/down the stairs. I normally wear women's 7.5 - 8, and the 39s fit bare feet loosely (they stretched a bit) and are fine with light socks. They are sturdy too. The dog started chewing on one, unraveling some of the edge stitching. But they are not getting any worse. I wear them daily and expect to do so for several years.

I absolutely love these slippers. They are soft but not to bouncy. They are substantial without being too stiff. I was disappointed when FitFlop no longer offered the slippers that I had been wearing but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

I have been wearing these shoes/slippers for over two years now and have just worn through the top at the end of my big toe. The first thing I do when I get home from work is kick off whatever shoes I'm wearing and slip into these unless the shoes I'm wearing are my Birkenstocks. These shoes are like walking on clouds and they're warm in the winter but not overwarm in the warmer weather. (I must admit I don't wear them most of the July/August) The sole is great for being able to go out and walk the dog so long as it's not raining or wet with snow. It's the top I don't want getting wet, not the sole. And the more you wear them the more comfy they become. Now that the summer months are almost here I will be saving up for a new pair of these for the fall. For now the little hole in the top of the shoe is not problem, but by September I think I'll be ready for another pair. Bottom line: I love these shoes! Well worth the money.

This was a gift for my 80 year old Dad. He wanted an open back, slip in slipper. My Dad loves them.

Awesome slipper, nice and warm but still breathable. Definitely order a size or two above what you normally wear. Runs VERY small.

Bought these for my 93-year old mother-in-law. She loves them. Very stable, stay on firmly, comfortable.

The slippers are too short and too narrow. They appear to be for women. I had owned a pair of Haflinger slippers before, and they were very comfortable. These are not. I would be happy to simply exchange this pair if I can expect a pair that would be a men's unit as opposed to a women's.

These are far and away the best slippers I've ever owned. Comfortable, cozy, and they adapt to the contours of your feet. The boiled wool is a much better material than fleece warm when it's cold, and cool when it's warm. Your feet will not get sweaty in these. The material is very soft, not itchy at all. Fit seems to be a bit on the small side I had to send back the first pair I ordered and get a half size larger. But overall, you will not find a better pair of slippers out there.

Coming in from the cold, and slipping from my big,heavy boots into these cozy lovelies makes my night, every night! Love 'em.

These slippers are very comfortable. I had the version with the felt soles previously. I was afraid these might feel too stiff, but they are very comfortable. I like the added support. It is nice to have a rubber sole to walk out to get the paper, etc.

Warm, toasty feet at last! Read about these on sweet home.com and wow they are great. My feet are finally warm in the cold weather. Highly recommended.

My favorite slippers! When they get stretched out, I wash them in cold delicate and when they dry, they've been reshaped.

This is my third pair of Halflingers--they are the best damn slippers I've ever had. I wear them constantly, year around. The hardsoles are nice for a quick walk to get the mail or take out the trash. You can wash them too! I love how they feel like gloves (or really mittens I guess). These are worth the investment.

Great slippers! Warm, good fit, hard sole is sturdier than soft bottom, some arch support, non-slip, no disparaging style remarks from husband, order up if a half size.
