Pretty good arch support, well-made and yes, you can walk out to get the mail or pull the garbage can down to the street! I ordered a nine and they are true to size and fit my slightly wider than "B" feet because the wool fabric has a bit of give.

Had this item 5 months. Very comfortable in the beginning. Within 3 stretched to much to be supportive. Just threw them away. I’m a conscientious groomer. Holes in both where the big toe rests. This was my second pair. Not worth the nearly $100.00 price tag.

I needed to replace my  “house shoes” after my slip-ons literally wore out after many years. After reading customer reviews about this slipper, I was a wee bit concerned about the fit and ordered them with my fingers crossed after looking up the recommended size on the chart provided. I wanted to wear these at home, during the day with socks in the Fall and Winter. I needn’t have worried . These slippers (house shoes) were a FABULOUS fit right out of the box! I put on a lightweight sock to try them on and like magic, it all came together Instantly in a MOST comfortable fit with a perfect length and width ! A critical feature is that I do NOT fall out of this slipper even though it is a slip-on. I could tell that would probably NOT be a problem when I saw the design with the slightly elevated heel . I really like the idea of being able to wash them and air dry when necessary. Also, the wool is flexible and warm. I also am very pleased with the rubber sole lending both Flexibility for brief outdoor wear as well as a longer life. I am totally sold on these and they do precisely the job I required of them...comfy, warm and kick off easily when I recline on the couch ! This design and make are now a lifetime staple for me. Thank you, thank you Haflinger Hardsole and Zappos !!

Let's be honest, Haflinger slippers are NOT the most stylish things around. But if you have high arches, or any foot issues for that matter, OR would just enjoy having comfortable feet while you pad around the house, these are for you! I've owned 5 pair now (4 pair of the soft bottomed slippers - which were too slippery on all my hardwood floors! But STILL comfortable!) and I love slipping these guys on after a hard day out in the world. They're well constructed, they don't bind or have weird seams anywhere, and these new hardsole slippers are PERFECT for hardwood or tile floors. I can't recommend them enough! (Out of desperation, I tried the 'normal' Haflinger outdoor shoe for my slippers - and the rugged bottom basically shaved my carpets, so.. no good.) These are great and I love them!

My size is a 38,the second pair team Zappos sent out to me is the correct size,38.maybe a trifle snug,but the slippers are felted wool and will give after a whil.i am very happy with slippers.

I bought these for my wife and she is really pleased with them. The fit is perfect with just enough support. The decision was between these with the hardsole and the style with the soft sole. She went with these with the thought that they would hold up longer and be useful for the occasional trip outside.

I bought these for my husband, who wears an 8.5 mens size. These fit perfectly, and he loves them.

My husband loves these slippers and according to him and me they beat Ugg hands down! He has a narrow foot and they fit well. Also nice arch support.

These slippers are the best I've every had. They have a good arch, and are very warm. The snow is great if you need to go outside.

I love these -- this is my second pair. Very comfortable, easy on and off, and great for keeping my feet warm in the house.

These are great shoes, I've had 3 pairs in total and each pair has lasted for years; they're really well made and comfortable. Although they do stretch over time I recommend ordering up a size--I'm a 7 1/2 and need a 39.

I love these slippers! I've been wearing them for years. They have great arch support, the boiled wool keeps foot temperature regulated, and the flexible soles mean I can go out to get the newspaper in the morning without having to think. They also wash well on the wool cycle. Let them air dry over a day or two and you're set! It was time to replace my old pair so I ordered two more.

My partner has had no slippers since I've known him (15 years!); he was always walking around the house in his socks. I kept urging him to get slippers, and every time we saw any in a store, he'd say he didn't like them. My son told me about Zappos (which he has), and I considered getting them, but thought they were too expensive. A few months later, after no action on my partner's part, I decided he deserved some expensive very good slippers and got them for his birthday. He loves them! (And no more filthy socks or cold feet!)

My husband loves these slippers! He's worn them every night and every morning since they arrived. Haflingers are great, comfortable, and we've both owned Haflinger slippers before, but it's been a while. Next time I need slippers, I'm going back to Haflingers, and of course, Zappos.

Love these slippers. I needed a pair that were not too bulky and that were more like an indoor shoe, and these fit the bill. I still have the puffy slippers for the coldest weather, but these will be perfect as it start to get warmer. Very comfy.

Love that these slippers have somewhat of an arch support. Mine also have a hole in the toe of both slippers, and if anything, they are slightly big, not tight at all. Also, I washed them in cold water and didn't dry them - only to find that the fabric on the insole peel away and the holes enlarged. Disappointed as really like wearing these slippers a lot as are very comfortable.

Everything one expects from the original version, but with a sole that can handle short jaunts outdoors. Easy to slip on and off, and the sole isn't too thick lick some others that don't flex. The one drawback which prevented five stars in rating is the sole's material. It leaves scuff marks on hardwood floors. An anti-marking material, and perhaps a little cushioning to offset the change in material, might be in order. Overall a great option.

These slippers surround your foot in wool. If you prefer wool, these will be great. Breathable, warm, soil and odor resistant, etc. Good durable rubber outsole, extends wear nicely. I found the instep cut a bit low (I have high insteps). But they are stretching/ conforming to my foot with wear, so this is okay. The fabric is pretty good quality, I have a pair that is a couple years old and they are in good shape except the stitching failed, suddenly unraveled the full length of the main seam down the center, requiring repair. Otherwise, I am very happy that this product is available, as it is. I usually wear men's US shoe sizes 10.5-11, and the EU size 45 fits me.

The most comfortable slipper ever! Looks great too! But sadly the design is faulty. I've ordered 3 pair over the last few years and each pair has had the same issue ...hole in the slipper where the big toe hits the uppers. I don't have long toenails so I know that isn't the problem. I just don't think that there's enough room in the toe box to allow for the constant movement of the big toe as you walk. Wish this issue would be addressed and fixed. I would definitely order another pair if this were take care of.

They look great, but are not as supportive as I expected. Wish they had better arch support.

I just got these slippers to make my occasionally dislocating pinky toe more comfortable and safe. They look and feel great, but my husband and I found some streaky black marks left on all the hardwood and linoleum floors in our apartment. Not good. Having thrown out the box and receipt, they're mine, so I'm working on jury-rigging a solution. Be forewarned: the hard sole leaves a rubbery trace if you pivot ever so slightly or accidentally catch an edge as you stroll!

I bought these because everyone in the reviews loved them. i don't! I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe, and they are 1/2 size larger than my normal size. I usually wear a 9 1/2 Wide so I ordered a 10 (41 Euro), which I often do with shoes. They must run very narrow, with socks on I could not get my foot in, and without socks I could squeeze them on. Have to return and keep looking to replace my beloved Emu slippers that have a hole in the toe where a 9 month old gnawed on them! They are still very comfortable.

So disappointed in this slipper; we've had our old ones with cork soles for years and these are not what I expected. Very narrow and I'd hardly say it is a classic hardsole!

The were some of the most comfortable slippers I've ever tried on and I've tried everything and have problematic feet. I am thrilled. It's only day one, but they fit perfectly. They have a wonderful cushion in them and feel great to walk in.

These are a great slipper that I just keep ordering over and over again.
