My husband and I have worn these Haflinger Classic Slippers from Zappos for years, but suddenly they're cut so small that even 2 sizes larger than we normally order no longer fit. Is this a factory problem? Are the slippers mismarked? Or, in an effort to make more profits, is Haflinger cutting back on the amount of material? We've switched to the Danish slippers, Glerups, and are very happy.

I bought my first pair of these slippers several years ago. They were comfortable, durable, and I wore them often year round. I looked forward to wearing my Haflingers when I came home for the day. Not long ago I bought my second -- and last pair. They looked and felt the same as I remembered, but within a few months of normal wear, the middle top seam began to split and both toe areas developed holes in both slippers. I already need a new pair of slippers. The quality is very disappointing.

The footbed is comfortable but the upper has a thick center seam which rubs across the big toenails. I was surprised that it was not cushioned and was left exposed. I will be returning them and looks no for a different slipper.

I was very excited about buying these slippers. They cost a lot of money -- but hey -- one would expect a top dollar slipper when paying $75. Initially, I really loved these slippers. Very comfortable and very true to size. However, now? I wish I had bought something else. Here's the problem... Every slipper I have bought has been somewhat resistant to outdoor weather. After all, how many times have you walked outside in your robes and slippers to put out the garbage can or pick up the newspaper that's lying in your driveway? Some days, these tasks are plagued by bad weather. If it rains, or if there is even a coating of water on the outside surface, these slippers will soak it up like a paper towel and transfer it to your feet. When that happens, the next problem is the smell. I have had to wash these rain-soaked slippers, and they retain a musky smell even after washing. How Haflinger designed an expensive slipper like this without even considering its potential use outdoors is beyond me. If you intend to wear these indoors only, then go for it! However, honestly, slippers usually are designed to serve a dual purpose and this one certainly does not.

Didn't like the feel of the seam on the top of my foot.

I paid the extra price for these a year ago because I am managing plantar fasciitis and did not want another flare up. The arch support was good at first; however, it has flattened out considerably and the stitching holding the sole of the shoe to the top has come apart twice (I hand stitched it together once). I only wear these shoes inside the house, but for the price they have not held up well at all and I would not purchase another pair. Looking for something made a lot better.

I bought these because I liked the simple style and color. When they arrived, the pretty blue was actually a drab grey. After several months of daily wear, they stretched so much that they don't stay on my feet. Worse, the sole of the slipper is rubber and I have often "stopped short" when walking and nearly fallen. They are a tripping hazard. Very disappointed. One would expect better performance for the price.

Unfortunately I have a 5-5/2 size foot, and these slippers, even in the smallest size are way too large. I cannot rate the overall overall or comfort areas. Style appeared OK.

Way too big! A 36 is NOT equivalent to a size 5-6.

I really wanted to love these and I did like the left slipper! The right one had too much padding under the outside part of my foot. This caused my big toe to slide into the seam on the inside. I have normal feet and this has never happened to me with any slipper or shoe before. I thought it might just be a lemon, so I ordered another pair. This one was three times as bad, again, only in the right slipper. I guess these have gotten too popular for the manufacturers to be careful any longer.

Itchy. I literally could not put these on without socks, which totally negates the need for a slipper. The people who like these must also be able to wear wool turtleneck sweaters without a shirt underneath. Also, they attract unbelievable amounts of pet hair, because you're walking around on tiny wool sweaters.

Not the fit and support I expected. Foot is loose and unpredictable in them. The price is obscene for what you're getting. This from a 110% fan of Haflinger clogs!

The rubber dots came off the bottom of slipper all over my floor at the rate of 6 to 8 a day! Should go back to Haflinger for defective sole.

Overall these are really comfortable BUT they have these little rubber grip pieces on the bottom and they came off all over our wood floors - it looked like I trailed little rat poop all over the house. My wife ended up taking a paint scraper to the bottom of them to strip the rubber off. That is a ridiculous feature for such an expensive product. They also run small - about a full size small.

I have had these slippers for a little over a year now and they are the warmest and most comfortable slippers that I have ever owned. Unfortunately however the quality and durability is very poor. The soles on both have become completely un-stiched and I have spent a lot of time over the year repairing them by hand. The wool insert also has fallen out on both slippers and after gluing them several times I ended up stitching them to the soles so that they would stay. It is a shame that they only have a six month guarantee and now I know why. They are too expensive to buy every six months to a year so I will not be purchasing or recommending them again.

Seam in middle hits big toe, ouch! Also, I was allergic to the wool. Started sneezing, eyes watered. Anyone with allergies don't buy!

Very nice slipper if you don't have pets. I have 2 chocolate Labs and the slippers pick up pet hair and don't let it go. I tried everything including a grinder to try and remove balled up pet hairs from the toe. I too have 75% hardwood floors and traded the soft sole for the hard sole slipper. I love 'em and have no problem with scuffing or pet hair.
