This brand is great, but these slippers are not. First of all, there is a big 'ol seam down the middle and a protruding seam ridge INSIDE the slipper. Even though the slippers are not tight, the inner seam leaves marks on your feet. Secondly, the bottoms of the slippers are wool with small rubber bumps to prevent slippage. Trouble is, the bumps start smoothing down/wearing down after a few weeks making the slippers literally dangerous to wear on hardwood, tile or linoleum.

I've owned three pairs of these and have now given up. Love the look and feel but the craftsmanship is simply shoddy -- all three pairs have had the soles rip off after only a year or so of wear. Ugh. Switching brands now, regretfully.

I love the look of these slippers but for the price they are pretty poorly made. Not very warm, no real support, and I have a big hole in the toe after only a year of wearing inside the house only. No bueno.

Super comfy but a little wide/big. Had to return my normal size for a size smaller. Now only a year old and they have a hole in the toe. I have never worn these outside of my house. Will not buy another pair but wish they had held up longer as they are comfy!

These slippers were comfortable but I got them to wear around the house and they were just too warm for that. The soles grip well but the heel felt like it was coming off all the time which is a pet peeve of mine. Good quality, but just not what I was looking for so I returned them.

Within a week, the non-skid markings on the bottom of the slippers wore down so much that they were very slippery. Within four months, there were holes worn in the big toe area of each slipper. I wear them for about one hour per day, always inside.

I was disappointed with these slippers. These are thin and after a single day of wearing around the house were already losing their shape and slipping on my feet. I compared them to the previous pair (same slipper, same size, also Haflinger) and the wool felt on the new one is far thinner, about half the weight. I bought the previous pair in Amsterdam, so maybe they sell a different product in the USA. Or maybe the quality has degraded.

My husband has had two pairs in one year and every single pair, wears a hole in the toe area. I can't determine exactly what is causing this but it never stops happening!

The big problem is that they only last about 6 months. With the first pair I thought maybe I had just gotten a lemon. But the second pair, which I wear only around the house, is also shot after 5 months -- the sole separates from the upper. So figure on about double this price per year for slippers if you go with these. A shame, really, as they're very comfortable until your toes stick out the front.

Just received the fourth pair of these slippers in the last 15 years or so. I must say I am disappointed. Clearly they have changed the last. Compared to the previous three pair these do not fit nearly as well and have significantly reduced arch support. I normally wear 9.5. I have come to learn that I need to be in a EU 44. The Haflinger EU 44 seems tight compared to previous. I will wear them a few hours to see if they will yield. Maybe I will keep them or maybe I am not tasked with finding a new pair of slippers. The disappointment comes from loosing what was an amazing pair of slippers which were a welcome end to longs days. These slippers do not have that appeal at now.

I really like the slippers because they felt comfy and supportive. The reason I sent them back is because I found them a little itchy and I could not get used to that feeling. The other thing that bothered me was the center seam. I guess I could have been the princess in the Princess in the Pea. I think most people could have gotten used to the wool and the center seam but I am very sensitive. They were really comfortable.

Not a true size fit. The binding of the fabric on the back began to fray after less than a year. Also, the soles tend to 'stick' a bit , for a half second on hardwood floors, sometime resulting in a lurch forward because the shoe doesn't move when your leg does. Attractively designed, but due to the above the slipper is way overpriced.

Years ago Evans was an excellent slipper. I can't comment on present craftsmanship.

Inner sole lining came out of both slippers and toe areas are separating between the sole and upper at the seam. Incredibly disappointing construction.

Beware! These slippers fall apart in less than a year. I love the comfort, simplicity and material of these slippers and have owned several pairs over the years, but I'm sick of having to repair and replace them so often. I'm not thrilled about having to find a new slipper because I love everything about them other than the quality. For the cost they should last for years.

My husband ordered these as a Christmas gift and the size was too small but one thing I noticed right off was that the seam down the middle was very irritating to my toes. Maybe in a larger size it wouldn't have been as noticeable but I didn't want to take the chance. Instead I ordered a pair of the Daniel Green slippers and was very pleased with them. Was very pleased with Zappos return policy and fast delivery of the new slippers!

I had these slippers for about 6 months when holes started to develop at the toe on both shoes. I did wear them fairly often, but they fit well (even a little big), so the holes were surprising. A few months later, and it's quite embarrassing to wear these since the holes are huge! I was hoping these would last for longer than they have -- will definitely not be buying this brand again.

I always feel somewhat sloppy when wearing these. Have tripped a couple of times, though I doubt that a smaller size would do the trick. I'll keep them as a spare pair.

Although the slippers are the most comfortable slippers I own and adjust to barefoot or with heavy socks. The problem I have is picking up dog hair. I have two Labradors and it is difficult to impossible to keep up with their shedding. From walking around the house the soles of the slippers pick up and will not release the dog hair. I have tried pulling it of cutting it and even tried to buzz it off without success. I just noticed they have a hard sole, maybe I will try a pair of those.

Like other reviewers, I had pairs of these slippers that lasted YEARS - but the last two pairs I have bought have fallen apart within months. The top completely came unattached to the sole and a hole developed within 2 months. The decline in the quality is so shocking the US distributor has stopped working with them. These are my favorite slippers to wear so I too hope with enough outcry the company will make some huge changes in how they outsource the production of their product and have better quality control. It is insane to pay $100 for indoor slippers that last a few months. I know they are losing customers and their reputation. Let’s keep up the pressure on Halflinger to do a better job!

The sole tore away from the slipper material, so I had to throw this item out. Apparently the threading used to attach the sole was not good quality. Very disappointing given the price.

I've invested in three pairs of Haflinger women's wool clogs. The third pair ONLY LASTED TWO MONTHS! The boiled wool upper self-destructed where it bends for the ball of my foot; then my big toe broke through. If people spend $129/pair, they ought to offer a service to replace the uppers. They don't, so although the outer sole was in perfect condition, I had to throw them out.

Nice slipper, but the seems con undone on the side. Have had two pairs and the same issue every time. The warranty only lasts 6 months, but the slippers fall apart in about 7 months. While these are comfy for a little, they are terribly overpriced for the quality and longevity. We did try and ask the company for a return / exchange but their customer service is not very good.
