Perfect. As a runner who does not have a typical runner's body i.e., I'm 5'4ish and 155 pounds. I have a lot of trouble finding shorts that are comfortable and don't ride up. Actually, I'd never found another pair until I found these. For me, these fit slightly below the waist (not truly low-rise, but not at the waist either), and the legs are indeed pretty loose, as another reviewer mentioned. For me, as someone who has fairly large thighs and who wants shorts to stay down when I'm running, this is a good thing. The lack of that extra space is exactly why I hate other shorts. The large fits me perfectly, and now it's either these shorts or long compression shorts for any warm-weather athletic activity. I've tried to find other brands that match up to these, but I haven't found anything as good after 4-5 years of searching. I highly recommend them if you are a curvy runner who has a lot of trouble with shorts riding up: while they still do it a little bit every once in a while, it's enormously better compared to any other non-compression shorts. (If you really want shorts not to ride up, get some 5 or 7 compression shorts, but these are a lot more attractive than those, and arguably more comfortable.) I also have a zillion pairs of these just for lounging around.

Great shorts! They magically don't ride up...ever. They dry quickly, they don't make that typical noisy "swooshing" sound, and they look great. I run 3 miles every day, and wouldn't run in anything else!

Love these shorts. We had to have them for band. I ordered one night at 8:00 p.m. and received them the next day before noon. I am not sure if that is the way it always is done but I could not have been happier. I will definitely to ordering from Zappos again!

These are a little bit baggy in the butt, but the liner inside is a good fit. I have a 34" hip measurement, and I bought a small. Other brands of running shorts that I have fit much better. Normally I think Nike products run a little small, so that's why I didn't go with the XS. These aren't my favorite shorts, but I won't be returning them either. They are comfortable and good for running.

This is the second of this style I've purchased. I've tried so many different shorts and these were the only ones that fit me well and were completely comfortable. My legs are short and these were the appropriate length.

I found this short to be very unflattering-the waistband cut into my sides while the rest of the short was loose and baggy. I like the fit of the Nike Pacer short so much better.

I've worn the Tempo short from Nike since high school cross country, which was a WHILE ago! I tried other brands and styles...but always came back to these shorts because of pretty simple reasons: 1. They are neither too short or too long..just right. 2. They come in so many colors it's difficult to just buy one. 3. If you gain a little weight, the waistband stretches. If you lose weight, you can fold/roll the waistband down for a tighter and sexier look. 4. The key holder is sewn right on the part of your hip that never really moves when you run, very smart. Over time, and I'm talking about a 5 year span here, the elastic in the waistband does deteriorate and will not work anymore from the wear and tear and washing of these shorts. Then it's time to buy new ones!

Finally, a pair of work out shorts for someone with hips!! These are the ONLY shorts that work for me. I have a curvy figure so I appreciate the roominess these shorts provide. They are well made and worth every penny. I wear compression tights underneath to prevent any jiggle. I ordered the XL since my hip measurement is 45 inches.

Why didn't I buy these sooner!? My other running shorts are Asics, and they're fine, I guess, but after putting on these Tempos I almost want to ditch the old ones and go whole-hog on Tempo. These are light, don't puff or bunch in odd places, the built-in undies fit snugly and comfortably. In short (har har), these shorts fit perfectly and feel amazing. Can't wait to run in them and drool with self-glee. Dri-fit is my new favorite thing.

I am a man and I wear these women's shorts. In the 1970s we (boys) wore this exact same style in gym class, basketball team, track, and cross country. I wear them now when I run because they are comfortable. We have to be dry, too. I like the variety of colors (I won't get anything with pink in it). So you should market these for men as well as women.

The Anthracite color is a little lighter in person than on the screen - looks grey not black. :) Great fit, as usual; this is my second pair of Nike Tempo shorts.

If you are looking for perfect running shorts you have found them. These are my favorite shorts ever and even after being worn and washed many times they still feel and fit as well as they did the first time I wore them. They are expensive but I will never go back to cheap cotton shorts after finding these. The built in underwear is also a plus.

Great running shorts. I'm 5'1'' 100lbs and wear an XS. I do have to roll the top down once, but I find them to be very comforable.

So comfortable, really lightweight, with a very convenient pocket for your keys. By far the best running shorts available.

I have many pairs of these shorts and I love them! They are great for running, lounging, etc. I also like that it has a small pocket inside to put a key. I am a size 10 and wear a Medium.

These are perfect running shorts, I am buying another pair! They are not too short, comfortable, and easy to move in.

Great shorts! Have them in other colors and they are just as I expected. Comfortable, colorful...Also, the color is just as it appears in the photo so no surprises there. I have already gotten many compliments on them. Enjoy!

These are the best shorts ever! This is my fifth pair, and my favorite color as of yet. It is nice to wear bright colors when running in gloomy weather. That serves as an instant pick me up!

Bought these for my daughter for track and she loves them. I have them in other colors for running as well. They wash nice and look great.
