Found this shoe true to size for me. There was not much cushion to the ball of the foot, but you could definitely feel the orthotic insole for the arch and heel. It does have great arch support, however I decided to go with the Brooks Ariel which also has great arch support as well as memory foam cushioning.

These shoes are designed with the Orthaheel support, which is pretty comfortable. My complaint is how cheap and plastic-y the bulk of the shoe feels. They are not inexpensive shoes but look and feel like something from a super discount store. That takes away from the experience of wearing them. I wore them one time and will be returning. I do have a pair of the slippers and a pair of the loafers. The loafers are also made of man made materials, but they don't look or feel like something from Family Dollar Store.

Arch support was good, however, lack of insole cushion made the support hard and uncomfortable. As a "walker" there was no roll built into the shoe which made walking very stiff.

Sturdy shoe. Love that footbed, for sure! However, this is not wide enough for my right foot. The seam hits right on top of my bunion. The toe box is deep enough, I think, but not wide enough for people with feet like mine. I wear a perfect 8 in their sandals, ordered this in a 9. It's a bit long--I think I could have used the 8 1/2, but it still is too narrow in the front.

I had great hopes. Everyone's reviews were so positive I was sure I'd found the right shoe for me. Nope, didn't happen. The arch is in the right place and the right height, but is so hard it hurt my foot. If the arch was more giving I'd have willingly bought these.

Since I have plantar fasciitis I have a hard time finding shoes that 'work' for me. I was hoping these walkers would be as comfortable and supportive as the Tide flip flops as I can walk in them all day and not have sore feet. They are not. They are fine if I put in my arch supports that I have to put in every other shoe I own. I was all set to buy other Orthaheel styles because I love the Tide flip flops and have several pair of them, but I think I'll keep looking. Orthaheel: Please make your other shoes with all the arch support of the Tide flip flops!

These are my first pair of Orthaheel. I had such high hopes but probably still in the early stages of breaking them in. My right shoe squeaks from time to time and the support in the right shoe is painful. I do feel a change while wearing them though and was forced to buy some expensive slippers so I didn't have to wear the shoes all day. I saw somewhere that if you change the way you lace them, it helps with the feel. I need to figure that out. I will hang in there and see if I get used to them.

I have enjoyed the fit and comfort of these shoes for several months now, but I am disappointed in the quality of the materials. I am now shopping for new shoes because this pair, although not yet a year old, has spots where the outer layer has worn off, and it is gray underneath, which is unattractive. The latest disappointment, prompting me to look for new shoes, is that one shoe is now ripping apart at the seem on top of the shoe. I use them for everything, so maybe I need to find shoes that hold up better under all conditions.

I tend to roll my feet out at the small toe and that bone just below it. I am also on my feet ALL day. They are pretty good at relieving fatigue and other pains but does not help stabilize my feet like I'd hoped.

I recently developed plantar fasciitis, so I was looking for the arch support. After doing some research, I read that these were good for that condition. When I got them, I thought the arch was high but that I needed to "get used to it." It's way too high for me and very uncomfortable. My feet are more sore. These are for very high arches. I would like to return them.

The Good: The arch support is superb. I immediately felt great support for good posture. The Bad: There is not enough cushioning under the ball of the foot. The design of the toe of the shoe is terrible. It looks stodgy, orthodpedic and dated. It works if you want to appeal to a limited number of people. However, most people want even their athletic shoes to be stylish. The toe of this shoe is not. The rest of the shoe is fine.

The chief problem with this shoe is that when the front got a touch wet in the rain it stained the front making the shoe look terribly dirty.

Arch support was located under my heel rather than the arch of my foot. Maybe a bad set of insoles? This is a stiff and uncomfortable pair of shoes, and the style is even more unattractive in person. I would not recommend for walking as I could not walk five feet in them.

I really thought that I could handle blah looks if they felt great on my feet. These were rigid, no flex, and I just can’t like them-and they don’t feel good on like my other Vionics over the years. Live and learn.

While sizing was fine these athletic shoes lack any cushion or shock absorption. I wore them 2x before returning to my ASICS. I would not purchase this brand again.

I ordered a 7 Wide and I was sent a 6 medium. At least they got the color right, but when I went to exchange, they said that they did not have the 7 W despite that it was in stock when I placed the order, so who got my shoes? I had to order a 7W in black and they arrived. They fit OK, but the shoe is really hard, not cushy at all. It looks like synthetic material and is too shiny, but the worst part is they squeak and squeal very loudly like a stuck pig when I walk, so definitely returning them!

Not enough support. Need more cushion under foot. Other than that would have been a good shoe.

I really wanted to like these shoes. The size was right. But the stitching INSIDE the shoe, over my toes and top of foot, was painful! At first I thought it was just the socks I was wearing. Tried a couple of other pairs. Same.

I won't but light colored suede shoes again. Even though I pre-treated them with Scotchgard and only wore them for walking, they still look grungy.

Overall, I was disappointed with the 'style'. I am 71 years old and still work and thought these would be good for standing a lot, but unfortunately the style of the shoe was really 'clunky' looking, very old fashioned. I did not find them that comfortable when I was trying them on at home. Stiff leather, and just not great looking at all. Sorry, but am returning them. Should have listened to the other reviews.

Vionic has always been so good for me, but I've been sending them back for a few years now, and continue to be disappointed with how the arch support has gone from stellar to mediocre. Also, I have never had a problem with size, and this shoe mostly got sent back because of too short in the toe box. My middle toe is longer than my big toe, and it was pressing against the toe box. I am an 11, so nowhere to go up from there, plus, the half size bigger would just make the whole shoe too big, just to buy some small space in the toe. Disappointed. I really need a strong, sturdy, good arch walking shoe and vionic was always it.
