They looked small when I took them out of the box. I like that at a 10.5 They fit like gloves. The arch is really nice too. A bit squeaky but I'm hoping it works itself out with a few wears.

Great shoe...feels wonderful. Good arch. One of the most comfortable shoes I own. Will order this brand of shoe again.

Love these shoes! These shoes are comfortable enough to walk in all day, plus they are very good looking. Unlike most patent leather shoes, these have give and were comfortable the moment I put them on. There has been absolutely NO break-in period. I normally wear a 5-5.5 in shoes. I feel like they run a half size too big, even with socks. I ended up going with a size 5, but I had to add heel inserts because they were slipping. There are little nubs on the back of the shoe and sometimes my pant hem gets stuck. But, this was a hand-stitched hem. I haven't had this problem with other hems.

I am not a loafers kind of woman and have never owned a pair but these are so comfortable and pretty that now they are my "go to" shoes for casual and dress. I love the patten leather that is surprisingly soft and flexible with a good arch support that allows for pain free walking.

Third pair of ARA shoes. Worth every penny. Very comfortable. Very stylish. Can walk all day as if you are wearing sneakers. Wear with jeans or business pants suit. Very versatile.

I love these shoes. I wear a 6½ I wanted to wear these with trouser socks and after reading the reviews I bought the 7. I might have been able to have gotten away with the 6½, but I kept the 7 and they are working out fine. I wear them with jeans, velour warm-up suits and they look great. The crocodile finish does not show any marks they are always shiny and bright. I am 65 and would recommend them to all the ladies.

These are perfect for me. Sturdy but not clunky. Comfortable and fit well. The patent is rich looking and I am thrilled.

I am a professor at a university. So, I have to stand and walk and look a bit presentable. This is my second or maybe third time purchasing either this exact shoe or the predecessor. I love them.

Never have to break in; wear right from box without the discomfort of blisters from new shoes. Great support with style. The perfect dress down show with the shine of patent leather..

One of the best, most comfortable shoes ever! Great for walking a lot, standing a lot, and very beautiful! Can put orthotics inside too, very comfortably. Highly recommend these.

This shoe is extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend. In fact I have several different styles of ARA shoes and rate them all 5 stars.

The fit was uncomfortable, a little too narrow and yet the style was great. I felt a bit of unease in the heel area around the top of the shoe. I was not impressed with the construction of the shoe for the price.

I ordered these shoes after being told by my podiatrist, I need to wear shoes with more padding on the bottom/ball of my feet. These shoes are very comfortable, hugging the sides of your feet without being too tight. The padding on the bottom is great, although maybe I could use even more. My only complaint is that I'm not a big patent leather fan and all the comfortable loafers in my size (11),seem to only come in patent leather.

I love ara shoes so much I have Rachael in both colors and am on my second pair in the brown. The fit, style and versatility of these pushed me to jump on the Phoebe when I saw them. Unfortunately the first pair I got had the right insole glued into the left shoe, which made for a pretty confusing fit! Zappos quickly exchanged, and I got my new pair within a week. What a bummer - the same size that fits perfectly in the Rachael is too short and too narrow in the toe box. Love the way they fit, but sadly back they go to Zappos.

Nice shoe for hard surface floors, great cushion. It’s a tad wide for me, I am going to see if it comes in a narrow.

Heel wasn't high enough & I have a fused ankle.

These are beautiful shoe. However, I must return them as they run at least a half size too small. I take a 5½ and the equivalent is so small my foot will not get into it.

Love the Phoebe style. I've had my pair for almost eleven years. Bought them in Sweden. They are probably my favorite shoe and I wear them for everything. The only thing that I'm a bit upset about is the fact that I only paid this much for them in Sweden. I think they are overpriced here. However, I did buy another pair because they are so comfortable!

Wonderful shoes. Bought them for a business trip and wore them 4 days straight no issues at all. Ran alittle small OK with hose but not cotten socks - but still OK

I am not sure why so many have said that they run large. I feel that they run on the small side and am considering exchanging them for a larger size.

These are beautiful shoes but they run big. Im a 9 1/2 and had to return them. Then I ordered a 9 and whilr they appear to be ok, the back is loose. Im dissappointed.

I wear 8 and 8.5 Medium shoes consistently with no issues. I have never bought this brand before and love the look of them. I tried size 8M and they were too small. So I opted to reorder the 8.5M and they fit everywhere other than being wide in the heel. I'm returning them.
