I purchased these boots for my 12 year old shepherd. They are well made. Nice gripper bottoms as to keep legs from slipping out from beneath the dog. We also use these in our Pet Lodge for clients that have older dogs... if your dog is part of your family, buy him the shoes. He will thank you!

These are great kicks for your canine companion. I just ordered a 2nd pair, but not because we like them as much as we do. I have a Golden Retriever. We measured his paws to make sure we ordered the right size as directed. We ordered him a Medium. The front shoes are perfect but since his back paws are slightly smaller (in width) the shoes have a tendency to do a 180 while he's running. This means the fabric part is on bottom, not good. So I just ordered a pair of Smalls and we plan to keep putting the Med. on front but Small in back...and now we'll have "mismatched" 2 pairs. Ideally they would sell these things in pairs. In spite of the slightly loose fit on the hind paws, he has yet to have a shoe fall off on any of our adventures.

These boots are excellent and have helped my dog's pads heal as well as ease her joint pain (from arthritis) when she walks. Lots of other dog people we run into are interested in getting these for their pets. We purchased our first set a year ago locally. This time the local distributor did not have any and I was thrilled to see Zappos carry them!

We (my dog and I) love our Ruff Wear Bark'n boots. The first pair I ordered was too big and I exchanged them effortlessly with the amazing customer service that Zappos always offers. My dog has sensitivity issues with both his back paws, but no problem with the new boots, he's walking and running through rough gravel with no pain. Yeah!

These shoes are really nice and my dog got used to them pretty quick too. I bought them for her to wear when it's hot outside and she has to walk on asphalt. Very well made shoes!

Great boots, good quality material, well made, much more durable than the average half price ones. I ordered them because I needed them and planned to use them, so I wanted good ones. I'm happy with my purchase. However, when the dog is actually wearing them, there is extra fabric that bunches on top of the paw, as it is bent at the ankle/wrist when the dog is standing, so I wonder if the design couldn't be a bit better, with a slight bend in the boot, but these are the best boots I've found. My dog is worth it.

So far they work really well. My active Husky has not been able to get them off. They are perfect for protecting his feet from hot pavement.

Great shoes for any dogs needing protection and traction outdoors. We always used them while camping and dogs feet stay clean and safe from any foreign debris. Stays on pretty well,front fabric wears off but new style better stitched. Tried other brands, but found these the most durable and secure. Thanks Zappos for having them!

I have a Border Collie that goes all out for everything. She tends to wear down her paws on rocks and sometimes cement. When her paws are sore or if I take her mountain biking these are great! I only use them on the front paws. She has actually worn the tread off them and we need to get a new pair. Totally worth the money.

Our dog was tearing up her feet on rocks during walks. Found these after destroying some other brands. Very durable and our dog is so cute prancing around. Easy to take on and off and easy to clean. Only problem, one of the hind boots gets turned around and she runs on the mesh part which can rip it up. Be careful that you measure for the right size and secure the boot tightly. Definitely serves the purpose and our dog seems to enjoy them.

These boots are pretty cute and made of very durable materials, but extremely tough on our dog's dew claws. When we tried fastening them below the dew claw, they fell off, and when we tried strapping them above the dew claw, her claws started bleeding. A smaller size wasn't an option due to the width of her claws. We tried wrapping the dew claws with gauze, and had slightly better success, but really wish these were designed differently. They had the potential to be a great product, was just really disappointed by the design flaw.

I bought these for my 50 lbs springer spaniel to speed up the healing of his pad. (Size 2.75", they seem fit him well. The 2.5" would probably fit too). The quality is great! They look very nice too. My dog doesn't mind wearing them at all, he actually looked proud when I put them on for the first time! My other dog, also a springer wanted to try them on too. Not kidding! I already placed an order for her. She weighs about 45 lbs and has smaller paws, so I'm getting her the 2.5". I can't wait to take my dogs out for a run!

My dog (Goldendoodle) gets so excited when her shoes come out- it's walk time!! We started wearing them because I felt bad in the winter for the chunks of ice/snow that got stuck in her paw pads. These don't keep her feet dry, but at least snow free. Plus we live in an area with lots of geese (and their lovely droppings) and our walks are mostly on pavement. We've worn these almost daily for years and have started to wear the tread out- will be buying more!

The 2" boots fit my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel perfectly. I also ordered the boot liners as I feel these are necessary to keep the boots on the paws. These boots are wonderful protection from sharp rocks, gravel shards of broken glass and bee stings. They are expensive but I think they will end up saving me from vet bills in the future. Be sure to bend the boots a lot to work them in before putting them on the paws. I am very happy with this purchase. Thank you Zappos for carrying dog shoes!

I am very satisfied with the boots purchased for my senior lab. He has arthritis in his back end, his back legs are stiff and wobbly. He actually got excited when I put them on him, because his back feet could grip the floor, which made me happy. I was also very pleased with how quickly I received my order. As far as rating the product for comfort, since he is happy I said five stars.

My Standard Poodle loves to run and play, but she has gotten sores on her feet a few times from rocks or rough terrain. I bought these for a trip that we'd be doing a lot of hiking on, and the fit is perfect. She immediately was comfortable walking in them and never fussed with them. Took her on a several mile hike today and to run on the beach. The boots stayed on without any trouble. The sand did not get in her boots at all.

These are the best dog shoes--NONE better! We have tried countless others and the rest don't last past a few runs in our desert disc course. Our golden doodle is very active--she runs with my husband who is a marathoner, so she puts a lot of miles on her shoes. Don't bother looking for any others.

Great shoes to protect your dog's feet. I got these for an upcoming backpacking trip. TIP: test these out before any lengthy activity. I found that the first and second time I took him for a short run they twisted around. This was fixed by tightening the strap. This is key...tighten the strap and they'll stay put!

Order for my father's 12 yr old mastiff. His hips are not as strong as they use to be, and he was having trouble standing on hardwood flooring and ice. I ordered a Md and Lrg, but the Md fits more closely. He seems to enjoy them already and is less hesitant to move from the carpeting to hardwood floors. Def worth the investment for an older, well-loved dog. It doesn't hurt that their stylish too.

We like the boots. Use the liners with them. Ruffwear should sell the liners with the boots. Read my review of the liners to understand. Our dog is very sensitive so she isn't as happy with them on. She isn't as excited to go for a walk when we are putting them on her. and she still walks funny at first, but then becomes more comfortable. she get's a lot of looks. if she get's tired of wearing them she stops walking. i can't really rate the comfort since i'm not the one wearing them so i can't say for sure. we mostly walk on the sidewalk. some running. you need to put them on fairly tight. tighter then you may think. surprisingly that doesn't bother her.

These have been phenomenal for me and Rottweiler. I have peace of mind knowing his feet are protected when we go on our daily jogs. People need to understand that a dogs paws are not designed to run on concrete surfaces. Thank you Ruffwear for enabling me and my dog to enjoy our daily runs.

These boots are great in the pool. We have 2 dogs and they wear them every time they swim in our above ground vinyl pool. We got our first pair after the lab took a nice stroke at the side wall, resulting in replacing the liner. We learned our lesson the hard way. Great product!

These are absolutely perfect when you get the right fit! The Zappos sizes do not actually list the centimeter correlation (look on the official Ruffwear website for hte sizing guide). The sizing guide will get you the right size. They stay on when you have the right size! My dog sprinted around the dog park with her same precision the first time she wore them. We have not done a rigorous hike yet, but I totally trust this brand will deliver. They do not have small sizes. I have a 45 pound Chow, and the smallest available, XXS fit her perfectly. I also tried them on my 35 pound mutt, and they were too loose for him. Unfortunately this style does not come in the XXXS so he will not be able to wear these.

For protecting the bottoms of the paws, these boots are pretty great. My dog actually wears the boots because he has weakness that causes him to drag his hind feet badly. In that application, the uppers wear through quite rapidly. I can't fault the boots too much because that's an off-label usage, but be aware that something with a more substantial upper is probably a better choice for dogs who drag their feet.

For dog with disabilities and are dragging their feet, causing them to develop sores or to bleed, or for dogs that do a lot of hiking in rocky or hot terrains, these shoelettes will be invaluable. Just be sure to select the correct size or they will fall off too easily. Also, make sure you keep your dogs nails clipped short or they can eventually start poking through the fabric and teas it and you will have to get new ones- or tape them up with industrial masking tape as I did for awhile!
