I'm a UPS driver and decided to give these a shot over the boots I normally buy. I am very impressed so far and I have worn them for over 2 months now. They are very comfortable, and sturdy as well. The leather seems about double thick over a pair of normal shoes, and so far they have held up well. There is a stiff bar in the heel on the bottom of the shoe, it really helps in preventing you from rolling your ankle. Even better that these shoes are still made here in the US. Consider me a lifetime buyer as long as they keep making this shoe.

This is an excellent shoe for my wide feet. True to size and width. I wear them all the time--feel great with excellent arch support.

I'm a Fed Ex guy. These shoes are more expensive for a reason: At the end of the day my feet, my knee joints, hip joints, and back feel 10 times better, like i worked less hours. There firm and beefy yet not heavy or clunky like most walking/work shoes. All day comfort on cement and hard tile floors. Unlike cheaper shoes give you bruised sore feet at the end of the day and tiredness and ache that radiates through your whole body. They are not sporty but conservative in style. Thats OK for work, don't mess with a good thing. They also wear extremely well. Most shoes only last me 3 months and there falling apart. The rounded toe is all durability and hard to find today. These are going on 9 months and i can't believe how good they look. I just need to give them a little black shoe polish once in while. The technology and design of this shoe is amazing. This plain looking shoe is a Rolls Royce. Just ordered a second pair. Carl

I bought these shoes for my husband. We had to reorder to get a half size larger. When they arrived he wore these shoes for almost two weeks staight before changing. No breaking in.

The MK706 shoe is amazing. I am on my feet working 12 hours a day . My feet never hurt me. I am ordering a new pair now. For me I don't think of any other sneaker or shoe.

Bought these shoes for walking all over Italy. They are as comfortable as advertised and I love them.

Excellent shoe, excellent service from Zappos. This model New Balance shoe has been my choice for many years and as long as they keep making them (especially that they are still making this model shoe here in the states), I will consider purchasing additional pairs.

I walk all over the the UK with these, very comfortable but after a few months they feel a little loseer and not as comfortable. I expected them to last longer than they did.

I love these shoes. I've been a buyer of New Balance for many years and a great fan of their comfort. No one would accuse them of being elegant, but they look good enough for everyday wear including business, which is what I use them for. This means I only need one pair of shoes when I am traveling, including all the walking (for example in airport terminals) that travel requires. They are much less clunky than my previous ones, model MW927.

Very comfortable shoes. I needed a pair of dark, non-descript shoes since my white sneakers were too unprofessional. They did run a little large for me I usually wear a size 12 wide, but size 12 wide of these were too large and made a "flop" noise when I walk. Leather was a little squeaky, but not terrible.

These are good walking/jogging shoes. If you are a weight lifter, as am I, they are superb shoes for heavy lifting such as dead lifts and squats. The sole construction is perfect for such activities.

I bought these for my husband who has various foot/knee/ankle problems. He says they are comfortable. They don't look like sneakers, so he even gets away with wearing them with a suit.

I ordered these shoes because I wanted a shoe that helps with severe pronation and flat feet. I bought these because of good reviews, they are made in the U.S. and NB is known for their motion control. I knew they were ugly shoes, so I can't gripe about style, but they are even uglier in person. The sole is hard, they have little to no cushion and the toe box is roomy to a fault. When I walk on any uneven surface, my foot slides around a lot. Plus, after walking a couple of miles, they started to squeak. I am quite disappointed.

They are not the prettiest shoes on the block, but they're comfortable. Plenty of room in the toe box (with the ugly toes I have that's essential). Great comfort and support. A real blessing for my aching feet.

This is the third pair that I've owned. I have never had to break them in. I walk an average of 5.5 miles a day. They fit like they were made for me from day one. Every man should own a pair.

Shoes are extremely comfortable, true to size, neat and clean look. Zappos shipping is flawless and should you need to return items their returns system is easy, and fast!

These arthritic, old feet finally have a truly comfortable shoe. 12EEEE limits my choice, so I've worn New Balance for many years, but not this model. The less expensive shoes are ok, but this is superior in comfort and support. And it fits. The malarkey about supporting American workers fades away when you read the fine print (75% are imported; 25% are either made or assembled in the US). That's ok, I believe in open trade policies, but not in saying one thing and doing another.

Excellent shoe in terms of fit, wt., support, looks...my only comment is that it is quite "squeaky" wherever the material from which the shoes are made happens to rub together. Minor problem. Of course delivery and service was excellent...Zappos rocks!

Very comfortable shoes that breathes well - helping to reduce foot order. The size is true to form so order your exact size. Nothing fancy, no cool designs... just a simple pair of black shoes which is exactly what I wanted.

Good quality just what I wanted. Very comfortable. Important to me it was made in America. This is always very important to me.

Although a long time New Balance buyer, this is my first purchase of this type and style. I purchased this for a casual non-tennis shoe look. I am very happy with the shoe and its fit.

These are great shoes. I wear them everyday for work and find them quite comfortable. The workmanship seems to be a little better than the last pair of NB shoes I sent back, but they cost about some bucks less, so I guess you get what you pay for.

I am a serious walker. I do a 50 minute power walk most mornings, and usually walk several additional miles during the day. I have a difficult time finding shoes that truly fit. My feet are narrow, so I usually must wear thick socks and an insole to make shoes fit. These are perfect for me with neither of those things. As another reviewer noted, I had no uncomfortable breaking-in period; I just put them on and was good to go. Everyone's foot is different, of course, but for me these are an ideal walking shoe. I intend to buy a back-up pair in case they're discontinued before I need them.

Got these for my husband, he loves them, very comfy though a little bit clunky in the style department. But because they're black, they serve a nice purpose to wear with jeans or casual slacks. Great for walking.

These have become my favorite pair of shoes. New Balance makes great tennis shoes, sneakers and running / walking shoes - I own several pairs. The choice of a wide width makes all the difference for me. The quality is tops. These shoes are very comfortable, offer great support, and being all black and all leather I can polish them to wear with blue jeans or maybe even some cool black pants. Perfect! They are exactly what I was looking for.
