Very good shoe, I stand 95% of the time at work and they are comfortable. They may run 1/2 a size small, not 100% certain.

Bought these for my husband to wear instead of shoes for needed support. He is very happy with them as they are very comfortable and do not necessarily look so much like sneakers so he can wear them to work. Recommended!

I previously bought the same style only in Nike. Both pairs soles split all the way across. The first one was replaced by Zappos, the second one was beyond the allotted time allowed for free replacement. I decided I had enough of Nike & tried NB. Not only are they made in America, but they are holding up under 32 hours of walking on concrete with out a single problem. Needless to say, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Excellent comfort and fit. Style is a little geriatric, but when other shoes kill your feet these are awesome.

I walk 3 miles a day, unless it's actively raining or snowing, so I put a lot of miles on a pair of shoes, and they wear out pretty quickly as a result. With that kind of use, fit is really important. Many other Zappos shoe customers are looking for shoes to fit wide feet, but I'm 6'1" and 210 lbs, and my size-12s are a "C" width - narrower than usual. Finding a "C" width shoe is almost impossible. Fortunately, New Balance makes the MK706 in a "narrow" width. I was a little worried at first - a couple of loose nylon threads were poking my foot, and one shoe wasn't all that comfortable as a result - but minor issues went away after a few miles of use, and these are now as comfortable as any NB shoes I've ever had, and I've purchased a lot of NB shoes over the past 16 years. The MK706 is basically the same shoe my mail carrier wears, so they're not especially trendy in terms of style, but I'm expecting them to be durable, and they're already comfortable - my favorite pair at this point.

A basic, minimal design, similar to the discontinued 811, but without logo. Possibly best with insole inserts or orthotics, as the shoe has little arch support and a rather roomy toe box.

I like the shoes a lot except for one thing. They squeak when I walk. I've had that problem with other New Balance shoes in the past and never with any other shoes. I don't know why they squeak or why NB can't seem to fix the problem. They fit well and feel good, so after several days of indecision, I decided to keep them despite the squeak. Some reviewers here called them ugly, but I really like the way they look: simple, black, nice leather, sturdy but light walking shoes.

I walk a couple of miles every day during breaks at work. This shoe is great for walking, and good for a casual work environment.

Had to order 1/2 size bigger and wider than normal. Not quite the arch support I was hoping for.

The shoe was comfortable as soon as my husband put it on. It's a very soft leather, but more for leisure wear than exercise walking. Also, there is very little arch support. It's not a shoe for young people looking for something stylish.

I bought these shoes for my patrol officer job, and selected them due to the motion control feature built into them. About a month into wearing them, I experienced extreme foot pain, and had to return them. They made my big toes numb from the way they altered my stride. I'm not saying that the shoes themselves were uncomfortable, and I am a lifetime New Balance customer, but these shoes were not for me. If you don't need motion control while walking, I wouldn't recommend these shoes. Try New Balance MX623v2's instead!

I purchased my first pair of the New Balance MK706, but I returned them for another pair because the first pair squeaked when you walked. I received the second pair, and after a week of use the second pair also squeaked. Besides the squeaking the shoes are very comfortable.

I tried these with my orthotics but they were not for me. There is no cushioning at all. The sole is completely hard. The upper is made of some kind of cheap material that bends and makes noise when you walk.

This shoe did not have enough cushioning in the sole. It felt like the worn out pair I was replacing. This deficiency was very noticeable and my first time with a New Balance walking shoe. This shoe cost too much to have this problem.

I didn't know anything about the ROLL BAR until after wearing them and wondered what that was. It turns out it's a super hard plastic bar under your foot with no bounce or bending. It was very uncomfortable and contributes pain.

Very disappointed. I've worn NB for 30 years. This is my last pair. Poor quality throughout and they simple are not comfortable.

When I read they were approved for the USPS, I assumed they would be like walking on air. They are not. They are rigid like my Timberland hiking boots. This is far from a walking or running shoe.

Disappointing. It returned them. The shoes squeak while walking on any indoor floor surface (carpet or tile). It's in the leather used. Not willing to wear it for an extended period to find out if it goes away. Past experience has shown me it doesn't. New Balance discontinued the 927 which I really liked. Bought it twice. Reviews of 928 say that it is a different shoe now so I went for an alternative and it squeaks.
